    - Competitive MP pushes the boundaries of immersion in a living Stillwater environment fully populated with police, innocent bystanders and rival gangs.

Let's just clear one thing right off the bat. The PC port of Saints Row 2 is just horrendous. But it doesn't mean Saints Row 2 would be a bad game.

Saints Row 2 is in my opinion the best Saints Row game in the series and is well worth the full price since the story missions will last easily for 18 hours on your first playthrough and getting 100% will take probably up to 30 hours. THere's a lot to do and lot to play with but I personally thought the story missions were the strong point of the game. The missions were fun and varied quite a lot. Boss fights were fun yet a little too easy. But that isn't really a big downside since the other missions are so strong.

I recommend Saints Row 2 to everyone if you are willing to look past it's problems (which can be fixed with mods, by the way) and give it a shot. You will not regret buying this game.

Added to the "to do when I get rich" list:
Buy an xbox 360 so I can actually play this game.

I saw all the reviews complaining about how spectacularly horrible and problematic the port is and I was like oh hush you whiney babies sure it's not THAT bad.
I was wrong.
It took several third party mods to even get the game to run (roughly) at the speed it's meant to, even then the performance is miserable and inconsistent (I can run SR3 just fine and finished SRIV without poor performance induced ragequits) and vehicle handling is exactly as horrible as some of the reviews described it (quite a problem in a game that involves a lot of driving). Add a few hard to describe quirks to the mix and the experience you get is quite nipple-twisting.

I really believe the game is good, but unless I get an x360, I'll never know for sure. What a shame.

I love this game so much! For me it's the best Saints Row game in the series (I wish i could play the first game but i will never have a xbox360 in my life so)
But i don't recommend you to play this awful PC port.
The cutscenes are glitched, audio quality is absolutely ♥♥♥♥, random crashes (especially sometimes when i get inside a car lmao) and more.
Anyway... another lame terrible piece of crap PC port.
Even with those problems i'll still keep playing for fun with mods and etc etc.

if you wanna have a awesome experience with Saints Row 2 i recommend you to get it on the xbox360 along with the DLCS instead of playing this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ PC port.

Peace.

At 1st I wanted to give a positive vote, but after several technical issues, I unfortunately have to give a negative one.

Pros:
- lots of stuff to do
- driving around is fun
- over-the-top world, thus the violence isn't realistic either and become fun (eg: you hit an old lady with your car ? If you stop, she'll pull you out of your seat and beat the crap out of you! :-P )
- nice gang built-up feeling, from being no one to being a street king

Cons:
- voice audio is of poor quality, because compressed too much, which is a bit of a mood killer
- it randomly crashes, so you'll need a Mod to fix some of them (check here => http://steamcommunity.com/app/9480/discussions/0/846958724811426425/ ; I didn't try it by myself though)
- no quick save, so when it crashes, I had to restart the mission from the very start
- framerate is often bad outside, and very bad inside (with I7 4.3ghz + NVidia GTX 760)
- there's no difficulty per se ; ie: my skills weren't tested much ; it was more my patience & my nerves that were tested against badly designed controls
- infinite waves of enemies in some missions ; when I just killed 50 gang members, I'd like to feel I made some void in their ranks, not that they can keep spawning at an insane rate no matter what

If you don't mind the cons (or can fix them with some Mods), then go for it, you might enjoy the game ! :-)
