"DMC3 is a highlight of the series. However, this PC version suffers from early porting atrocities. Seek out the widescreen fix and style-switcher mods."

The world's best action game has the worst PC port ever made. After fixing the controls and the framerate DMC3 is a solid 9/10.

The issues with this game.

Frame Rate drops randomly, not sure if that is for everyone or if there is a fix.

Also, some sounds act up for me, like the Gigapede boss music cut off half way through the fight.

The good stuff? It is dmc3. I have a guide on how to fix the shotty controller settings for MotioninJoy, so that isn't much of a issue if you have a ps3 controller for the game.

So if you get this game, and not a cry baby about "my game isn't always at 60FPS!" then this game is for you..

If not, There is the DmC HD collection for console. Which is also nice when that doesn't glitch.(which only happend once to me.)

Kinda amazed steam allows the game to have so many bugs though, and still be sold. Felt it should of been fixed long ago.

Such an amazing game, fun, and a BIT of a challenge. Mastering the moves of Dante as you progress the story, Port is a bit outdated. But it doesn't mean you can't play it. So don't cry about it, There are some levels with puzzles. But like I said, REALLY fun to slay demons with style!

A lot of fun to play, that was my first Devil May Cry game.
Really funny Japanese anime style cutscenes.
Great button mashing gameplay, interesting diverse characters to fight against.
My kinda crazy. Really liked it.

I love this game, run smoothly on my pc...

A lot of negatives for the controller I see here but not a problem for me I'm a humble keyboard guy.

I wish the release dmc and dmc 2 on pc as a bundle.

The history is interesting and the gameplay is simplistic, i like it.

No native fullHD is a pain but i found a patch for it, simple.

To expensive don't worth the price, wait for a sale or better yet a bundle sale.

Recommend because i like it and no problems whatsoever but 9.99 would be fine 19.99 no just no.

Why the hell the Special Edition adds only a vergil Skin and not it's own campaign, are you kidding me.

This is a great game, but the PC port is shackled with uncustomizable controls and audio/visual technical issues. You can't have sloppy controls in Devil May Cry. It ruins the satisfying feel of the game, and makes it difficult for the wrong reasons. Do not buy this port at any price, track down a console copy because this is not a finished product.

Horrible and strange resolution options, almost no gamepad support either, the game defaults the right analog stick to movement and there are no customization options. Unless you want to spend time fiddling around with external programs to make the game playable I suggest you stay away from this port, you're better off with an emulator.
Not even worth the dollar I paid for it.

Quite frankly, this is among the worst ports I've ever seen. The game is windowed and although you can use ALT+ENTER to make it full screen once it's already running, it doesn't support wide screen displays. Also, the controls are atrocious. It doesn't even support the XBOX 360 controller by default, so you are stuck having to edit ini files because the in game controller configuration doesn't work. Avoid this game, it's an abomination.

Devil May Cry 3 is a great game! This is only a critisism of this port!

As a PC only gamer, I've played some REALLY bad PC ports. I mean, really, really, REALLY bad ports. But this game....oh my god...I have to buy the PS2 version to play it properly. I bought it for 5€ at the Summer Sale, but it's still not worth the money.

This is the best hack and slash game ever created. Devil May Cry 4 has the best combat in a hack and slash game ever created but the game wasn't as good as this one.

This is a terrible PC port of a classic PS2 game. The game isn't perfect but it's pretty great. The PC port is, however, garbage and nearly unplayable. Find it on eBay or buy the HD collection. Stay away from this terrible PC port.

It's a great game on the PS2, but sadly not on PC.

This is a terrible port because it has terrible controls without a controller. I would, however, recommend this game if you are confident your controller will work with this game. I have a logitech controller and the camera and movement sticks are reversed, and there is no way to change it. It makes the game pretty much unplayable for me at least.

It's hard to learn the controls in game because they teach you how to do them by saying press "button 1", but your "button 1" might be "i" or something, so it's hard to remember what keys you've bound.

Im so proud of steam that they brought this classic game here.
It has everything: a sarcastic and sassy protagonist, huge bosses, actual challenging gameplay, the ability to get lost easly, lots of combos.
this is simply a classic hack n' slash game with an amazing and touching story.
