Why Early Access?

“As Cyberdrifter is a solo project the feedback from early access adopters will be invaluable for tuning the comfort & game-play of a fast-paced FPS in Virtual Reality.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approx 12-18 months.
Update: 24 months. Estimated release date May 2019.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I intend to have 8 levels in the complete version which will include additional weapons, enemies and bosses.

Story/plot elements will be added in the 0.6 update.

Graphical enhancements will continually be added throughout development and maintaining a smooth 90 fps will be a priority due to the fast paced nature of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Current content includes a tutorial, 5 complete levels with 4 bosses and a global leaderboard to aim for!

Major Content release dates so far:
9th May 2017 - Early access release with tutorial and 2 levels with 1 boss.
7th Jun - SloMo ability introduced.
30th Jun - Level 3 added.
8th July - Voice added to the A.I. & New bots introduced.
8th Sep - Level 4 added.
8th Dec - New tutorial section, level 1 extended & enhanced, boss added, player shield added.
3rd Apr 2018 - Steam achievements update.
20th Apr - Level 5 added.
2nd Sep - 0.6 Beta released.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“On Early access release I will only be charging for the amount of content that is available at that time, the cost will rise as more content is added. Early adopters win!

An announcement will be made in advance of any price change.”

“By welcoming all the valuable feedback from the community and using it to build a game that is comfortable & exciting to play in VR.”

ENTER CYBERSPACE IN VIRTUAL REALTY!

Just as the global pandemic of 2020 was eradicated a new virus was unleashed into computer systems that threatened global communications worldwide.

A new task force was assembled of military & tech specialists that can enter systems virtually to eradicate the virus in an assimilated world.

They are the CyberDrifters.

Key features:

Main Mission - Enter Cyberspace armed with your gravity blaster & data disc to eradicate an electronic virus in a virtual world!

Make use of your Cyber-cycle, tank & glider when the need arises - Smooth locomotion & blink/dash teleport movement available.

Arcade levels - Destroy the bots and compete across the globe for a place on the hi-score leaderboard.
