This game is visually beautiful. I loved the backdrops and the designs of the characters. Gameplay was fun and pretty simple, though more than one playthrough is required to unlock all achievements.

From the first second Bitey appeared on the screen, I was hooked. It was one of the most relaxing experiences I'd ever encountered. The characters each have distinctive and charming personalities; they seem real, more so than many human characters in games. The rainforest is absolutely stunning, even at a lower resolution. The bioluminescence creates a soothing visual that relaxes the mind. The music adds to this soothing effect, with its mystical tone and flowing melody. The only negative point I can think of is its length; the game ends so quickly, while I want to explore more of the world presented in the game. But for this cheap price its really okay and worth it.

CreaVures is a platforming game mixed with simple puzzle solving. The puzzle part is to choose the correct creature to use in order to pass the level, or in order to grab all of the motes and essence laying around in the game. The graphics aren't great as far as creatures go, though the background are beautifully done with an Avatar style of night-life irridescence. Each creature offers a different option like a cat that growls at enemies (i.e. bats, birds, squirrels, monkeys, etc...) or hangs from fruits, a Porcupine that uses its quills to shoot the enemies or uses its quills to climb trees and leaves a ladder for others to use. There a total of 5 creatures that you will collect during the course of the game. The game doesn't take very long to beat, but the achievements are there to keep you playing if you're interested in that stuff. The animation and pace of the game is very slow and tedious. I felt that if the game allowed you to go at a greater speed that the game would keep your interest more, especially when you die and have to restart at the checkpoint. It's done well, so if this is your kind of game, go grab it. Overall a decent game to play with you children.

A boring 2.5d platformer with cute character design, an atmospheric soundtrack, funny cut-scenes, cool bosses, frustrating controls, and repetitive gameplay. It's similar to Trine, but without the co-op and cool physics.

You can swap between two different creavure, each with unique BDSM abilities (e.g., having a long sticky tongue, being able of electrocuting partners, and poking others with spikes) to solve platforming puzzles. More of these critters become available as you progress through the game, and therefore opens up new ways to solve more puzzles.

This game could be recommended only for young and/or casual players.

This is one of those games which gets a free pass based on its artistic style. In this game you need to get some funky looking creatures through a black-light forest by using each of their special abilities. It would be nice if there was a two-player option, which I can't believe they didn't put in. CreaVures is nice enough that I was happy to put up with having to switch between two active creatures, making me feel like I was going back and forth quite frequently to accomplish the task at hand. Would I still buy it if I had the chance to reconsider? Of course. CreaVures looks awesome.

A cute platformer with a good basis, awful pacing, and clunky controls.

I want to like this game, but the combination of slow gameplay and clunky controls (which are critical for a platformer) made me lose interest fairly quickly.

-Cute characters
-Decent levels

-The puzzles were fairly straightforward (I felt I was just "going through the motions")
-A little short
-3 difficulty levels, but you aren't told what is different between them. *shrug*
-Whats the point of these collectibles? There are the larger "flower" collectibles which seem to (mostly) represent side/secret areas. Those are good. What is the point of having so many of the small white collectibles though? It is never explained if they do anything or serve any purpose.

-Very clunky controls
-Poor pacing
-Combat is awkward and doesn't seem to belong in the game
-Really SLOW animations that could not be skipped as far as I tried. The animations are very simplistic and too long!
-Since the creavures don't follow each other, it means you have to walk the same path literally twice. This is especially annoying in straight or simple areas.

Pleasant and light platformer with great atmosphere and cute characters. Buggy tracking of total motes and essences collected. Controls are not too tight. Fairly short, but a fun journey.

Very beautiful game and the creatures are adorably cute too. I'd recommend it and the key features aren't a lie.

I think I picked up this game a couple years before actually playing it. I originally was drawn to the cheap price, creature designs, and the beautiful backdrop palette. I only started playing it because I couldn't sleep, and I thought it seemed like a good game to help relax me before bed. It did! & That's the main reason I enjoyed it. I would only recommend this game to a casual gamer or to someone who wanted a game to just relax with after a session of something a little more intense.

+ Nice atmosphere and aesthetic
+ Simple and relaxing, perfect for what I used it for
+ Easy achievements, if you're into that kinda thing.

- Reptetitive. Between the clunky controls, the characters not following each other, and being unable to backtrack certain areas, this game gets very repetitive since you have to walk the same path twice or play through the levels again in order to get collectibles you missed the first time JUST BECAUSE of missing an awkward jump or something. Luckily, this worked out for me, since I played this as a winding down before bed game, but it would be grating otherwise.

A good platformer where you control different creatures who have different cons and pros. All of the creatures are different, as in their personalities are different. It can easily be seen during the small cutscenes. Just amazing what you can give with so little.
Now the game itself makes you use the different abilities each of the creatures have to go forward. You can't leave one behind anyways, that's rude. You also collect motes and essence. You can collect all or if you want, just get to the end of the level. In general the game is slow-paced. Oh and looks-wise the game is great I'd say.
All in all a neat platformer to play if you have hours to murder and are good with slower paced games.

Lil' Sucky Gameplay to go with the review.

First up, not actually a BAD game, but there are some weird design decisions which I don't understand and I can't really recommend it because of them.

Biggest one - you control multiple creatures but can't play co-op - this just means your multiple creatures are 'keys' you have to move around manually - it gets boring and it's mind-boggling that co-op wasn't included?

As with any platformer, there's a route to the exit and 'other stuff to find' - having to drag multiple characters to find that stuff (they don't follow and can't be abandoned) makes getting everything even MORE tiresome

The game also has a slightly weird look - I like the color palette but there's a certain gritty/grim/dimness to the graphics which is kinda odd (I suspect low quality textures - or a very odd fullscreen shader)

Animation isn't great either - some movements are accompanied by really janky things like you tail whipping instantly upright/downwards - it's quite visually jarring.

So - as I said, it's a serviceable platformer with some minor puzzles to solve but it does little which is novel, contains some odd design decisions etc. etc.

A visually impressive, but ultimately disappointing platform-puzzler(you can complete it in 2hrs).
There's very little intensity, but it's damn beautiful at times.
The puzzles lack ingenuity and offer very little in the way of variety (all of the obstacles look almost exactly the same). If u get it for free then its ok else not worth the value. :)
