Biosys Inc. is a biology simulator that takes you to a new planet where you will be responsible for the process of abiogenesis. Start with a single cell and watch your ecosystem thrive by itself. All cells carry DNA that will allow them to mutate and evolve into complex beings.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This is our first project, so we need the players' help to figure out why is it fun, or what we could improve, what are we missing and what the game needs to be better. We will gather feedback for 1 year and release the full game in the end of 2021. We hope you all enjoy the game! Our current state features are:

- Fully functional basic cells: protocell, cyanobacteria, archaea, eukaryote, chloroplast, antibodies and mitochondria.
- Proteins and lipids to help your cells regain ATP.
- Fully functional store to build RNA strands to mutate into new types of cells.
- Fully functional level up system.
- Two viruses: bacteriophage and coronavirus.
- Four funcional tools: alcohol (kill viruses), chitin (to create fungi) and pressure tool (allows you to move your cells around with pressure).
- Gas clouds (hydrogen peroxide, poison gas, kills your cells), extreme temperature clouds (cold and heat, kills cells except for archaea which are extremophiles).
- The implemented cells are fully functional as they will be in the official release. We are just sorting out bugs and sugestions.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“One year (1 year)”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“What the official release will include:
- External area with fungi, plantae and animalia.
- More cells in the primordial soup (we are planning over 20 new cells)
- More tools (inside and outside).
- Over 10 fungi, 10 plantae and more than 20 animalia.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Post-production stage, all systems funcional, adding content into the game. We are beta and will be releasing in one year. You start with a single cell by left clicking while holding Shift. With mouse over this cell, you can press X for mitosis (which will cause the cell to clone itself) and Z for meiosis (which will create 4 haploids). When 2 haploids are trying to reproduce, you can open the store and buy a RNA Strand, then with mouse over the reproducing haploids, press the number correpondent to the RNA strand you bought. In Early Access, you will be able to create Cyanobacteria (which will use photosynthesis to produce oxygen), Archaea (extremophiles, resistant to the hydrogen peroxide clouds), Mitochondria (can breathe the oxygen to produce more ATP), chloroplasts (photosynthesis) and antibodies (target and kill viruses). We also have two funcional viruses (bacteriophage and coronavirus) that can be killed with alcohol (bought in the Tools Store). The cell stage is fully functional in Early Access and new content will be added as we receive feedback from the players.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will not be altered.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through steam forums, discord and facebook.”

About This Game

Biosys Inc. is a biology aquarium where you can observe and assist your cells and bacteria to become complex beings. Starting with a single cell, you will cause the evolution of an entire ecosystem blooming with archaea, cyanobacteria, antibodies, eukaryotes, mitochondria and chloroplasts. Fight as viruses are born from random mutations and try to destroy everything you have built.

It's a fun way to study biology!
