Bionite: Origins is an Action-Strategy game based on hover tank warfare, set on various planets and moons throughout the solar system. Action-Strategy games are also called "hybrids" because they combine the FPS and RTS elements into the most engaging gaming experience available for the PC.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We decided to release on Early Access because we want input from the gaming community. During the time we are in Early Access we will be working on the Multiplayer version of the game. We would like input from the community on how to make the MP version the best it can be by reducing griefing, cheating and increase game/team balancing.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be in Early Access for approximately 6 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Full Version of the game will include the character weapons, the sniper rifle and the jet pack. We are working on adding the complete factory elements so players can build custom vehicles. From the Factory players will be able to outfit their and their wingmen's vehicles with different engines, shields, hulls, navigation systems, and weapons. We will also be adding the Multiplayer version for up to 16 players on a team, including full team strategy mode and coop mode,

During our time on Early Access we will be adding:
  • The customizable weapons loadout system and vehicle customization system for the Factory
  • The pilot sniper rifle and jet pack.
  • At least three additional maps on a variety of planets, moons, and asteroids.
  • At least two more vehicles such as the APC and the mobile Howitzer
  • Several more weapons types to add to the arsenal / armory.
  • Customizable Wingmen attack patterns that can be created within the game and saved for use during battle.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In the Early Access release players can play in Skirmish Mode against the computer.

This includes:
  • Playing as a commander and as a pilot in First Person, Third Person, Extended Third Person, and Satellite View.
  • Building complex bases with many assets: Factories, Recyclers, Satellite Towers, Bunkers, Service Bays, and Armories.
  • Creating defensive perimeters around bases to protect against enemy attacks, using a variety of gun towers and turrets.
  • Building custom squads of wingmen for commanding in battle.
  • Coordinating wingmen and repair assets for deployment in the field of battle.
  • Resource Management of Bionite and electricity with Scavengers and Power Stations.
  • Upgrading wingmen weapons with the Armory.
  • Using night vision during inclement weather.
  • Skirmish mode on 3 maps located on Mars, Venus, and the Moon.
  • Seven distinct Vehicles including; Bayonet, Rhino, Archer, Kodiak, HammerHead, Longbow, and the Lynx Tanks.
  • A wide variety of weapon types including lasers, mortar, rockets, missiles, miniguns, cannons, and EMP's.
  • Player Ranking based on experience points earned.
  • Fly in Formation command for wingmen to form up on the commander for coordinated attacks on the enemy.
  • Command as a pilot, from within the tank, or from the Bunker (sat view).

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We expect the price to increase at the full launch of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to involve the gaming community in our development process through input about how to make the game better, more challenging and easier to learn how to play.”

First SinglePlayer Mission Posted to Steam

We finally did it.......the first singleplayer mission for Bionite:Origins. It took a year to get this update ready for release. This release is so crazy with new stuff, i cant even begin to describe it (or it would take many pages). Lets just say we finished the game code core, fixed hella bugs, added several features, and included the beginning of the backstory of Bionite. One major feature we added was Spectralite, which is explained in the game trainer.

We also updated the trailers on our Steam Page. Including an introductory look at the new Emze Mine: Processing Plant mission on Venus. Also check out the Fly in Formation Feature for patrolling and attacking turrets video also posted. We also have a preview of the new Rhino Interior and the Modular Turret Building System we are adding to the Factory.

I will be updating Steam on a regular basis going forward, now that i have time to do stuff other than development. We have 4 new maps in the pipe that we hope to have completed by the end of January 2017. I will be posting screens and videos as development progresses. Please post your comments about the new release! we want to hear from our community and get your opinions about how we are doing to honor and respect the greatest game ever made: BattleZone.

About This Game

Over 6 years in development, BIONITE: Origins is the first in a series of games set in the future of mankind. The mysterious element called “Bionite” is accidentally found on Venus by a crew of prospectors looking for deposits of Helium3. They soon learn that Bionite has a very unique quality that has laid dormant for thousands of years. In order to extract the Bionite a massive mining operation is built on Venus. As the result of a minor disagreement with the military, a group of scientists are banished from Earth and form their own faction dedicated to stopping the military. Because of its nefarious uses by the military and the spread of mining facilities throughout the galaxy, the Rebel Faction has dedicated itself to stopping all Bionite production. Players can participate in battles on the Military Side (IMI) or for the Rebel Faction. Sniping an enemy vehicle for infiltrating the enemy base is a great way to launch a sneak attack…

The game includes 3 maps; The Emze Mine (located on Venus), Biodome 24 (located on Mars), and Hadley’s Hope (located on the Moon). This release is a single player version against the computer which includes Skirmish Mode. The fully developed turn based missions are currently in development and will be released with the Full Version. It is also intended to introduce gamers to the complex command system used in the game. There is a learning curve for Bionite: Origins and requires some time to develop the skills necessary to lead a successful campaign against the enemy. We like to think of the game as “Chess on Steroids”. It requires players to understand how to develop successful military strategies while relying on vehicle-driving skills to win and advance in rank.
