Starfall Prophecy Preview: Legendary Powers of the Rogue and Primalist

Legendary Powers provide brand new choices to help you build your perfect character. Read on to see just some of the options available to Rogues and Primalists in Starfall Prophecy!

Rogue Legendary Powers
Rogues receive an incredible diversity of options in Legendary Powers, appealing to a wide variety of play styles. Each Soul affords choices for entirely new paths, or opt to simply make existing powers even more useful in fights. Here are a few examples:

Legendary Thread of Death – Step out of the shadows and use stealth based damaging abilities any time you like! Fair enough - abilities used in this manner deal 25% less damage, but oh, the freedom! You’ll never go back!

Legendary Fated Blades – Your Bladedancer can maintain a second Rythmic Action while Fated Blades is active. No one can match the speed and grace of your deadly footwork!

Legendary Harmonic Distortion – Bards will love the ability to stack Harmonic Energy up to 10 times, and better yet, critical finishers always grant an additional stack, for even more power. Legendary Harmonic Distortion will consume 2 stacks of Harmonic Energy if they are available, and heal for more than twice as much!

Legendary Free Recoil – Arrows fly faster for Marksmen who select Free Recoil! With this pick, Empowered Shot no longer has a cooldown (or triggers a global cooldown) and grants 1 CP on use. Each subsequent cast of it in a limited time frame increases its energy cost and reduces its cast time.

Legendary Emergency Response – This ability certainly lives up to its name, giving Physicians an extraordinarily strong tool to keep their patients alive! Emergency Response no longer has a cooldown, but consumes all of the Rogue's energy while healing the target for a percent of the Rogue's life, based on the amount of energy consumed.

Primalist Legendary Powers
With more streamlined Soul trees, Primalist Powers tend to be a bit broader in effect than with other Callings. Legendary Powers for Primalist tend towards making the abilities more focused, and providing all new means of specialization for the Primalist! Here are some examples:

Legendary Tsunami – The more Turmoil a Typhoon has built up, the longer Legendary Tsunami Lasts! For every stack of Turmoil consumed, the duration of Tsunami is extended by 1 second, damaging enemies longer.

Legendary Flamewalker – Maelstroms with the patience to channel Legendary Flamewalker for a full 3 seconds will do 30% more fire damage for the next 20 seconds!

Legendary Primal Avatar: Wind Serpent – With Legendary Primal Avatar: Wind Serpent, Dervishes can channel the power of the Wind Serpent for even longer! Instead of its normal duration, Primal Avatar: Wind Serpent lasts a full 60 seconds, with the damage bonuses provided gradually reducing over time.

Legendary Ethereal Beam – The fury of fire and the crushing strength of earth are at the heart of a Vulcanist’s power, and Legendary Ethereal Beam transforms this ability to count as both! This means that Legendary Ethereal Beam benefits from all buffs to both Fire and Earth elements, making it more deadly than ever before!

Legendary Primal Avatar: Ram – Titans are the shield wall among Primalists, able to shrug off even the heaviest of blows when their Primal Avatar: Ram is enabled. With Legendary Primal Avatar: Ram, the cooldown of this ability is reduced every time you are attacked (up to once per 3 seconds), giving you the ability to channel the ram’s totemic gifts more often!

These aren’t the only options available in the Rogue and Primalist Souls, and keep in mind these abilities are still a work in progress! Keep an eye out for upcoming blogs for examples of Cleric, Mage, and Warrior Legendary Powers, or wait for the Starfall Propecy Beta to check them all out!

Used to play it before it was even on steam, got 3000 hours in it but I would not recommend it to anyone in its present state. I used to absolutely love this game, introduced it to many of my friends and we had alot of fun. But recently since a couple of expansions it has gone to complete ♥♥♥♥, ballant Pay to Win, dead cities and no real sense of community. Instead of spending 100$ on "totally optional" expansion packs, I suggest you look at some other better mmo's out there.

It has everything, mounts, a huge open world map, a lot of classes, excellent crafiting system, a lot of subclasses. As a MMORPG it is a deep and imersive history, unfortunatelly the game has turn into a pay to win a year ago or so, the community is dead, and it is impossible to have a decient experience on this game without spending money on it.

I love this game, I have over 2000 hours on the Glyph client.
Exited to play the new expac. This game has some haters, but also pretty dedicated playerbase. It is a nice and generally helpful community, especially by f2p standards.
Its well done f2p with only the newset expansion as pay to play. Pretty much everyhitng puchasable with cash in game, is accessable via in game currency's. With the new expac Rift will essentialy be f2p up to level 65, where the expac will then let you level up to 70.
If your looking to spend some time and get into a MMORPG, i would reccomend you give it a whirl.

As someone with over 500 hours in this game, I think I'm qualified to say it's worth your time. Is there a lot of grinding in the end-game? Yeah, there is. But there's grinding in any MMO with end-game content. It's unavoidable. That being said, end-game will be the only thing you're grinding for. There's no grinding before you hit 65. And the leveling/questing process is one of the best I've ever seen in an MMO. I should also mention that dungeons/raids/pvp aren't the only end-game, either. There's amazing new questing zones once you hit 50, and all the current expansions are free and will remain free (though the new expac will be buy to play).

As for earring slots, they ARE pay walled. BUT, you CAN buy them if you grind out 50k voidstones (which, honestly, isn't that hard). Some of the souls are also pay walled, but any extra souls are just fluff. This game is not, and never will be, pay to win.

Great game. Wish it was as deep as Lineage 2 - but that game is a lot more mature, and open source servers. Shame the community isn't very strong.

For a week or two, I enjoyed the nostalgia that RIFT gave me. It reminded me of the good old days of Everquest. After a while though, the charm wore off and I was left feeling like the game was little more than just another mmorpg with little heart.

Pros: Its not hard to play if you just want to be casual about it.

Cons: Graphics, spells, skills and overall feel of the game is dated.
Pay to Win AND they still milk you for money up-front with expansions.

Try Neverwinter Online. Yes, its also pay-to-win, but you will enjoy the gameplay much more.

Be careful when making purchases from Trion. I played Rift ages ago, then discovered Trion purchases on my credit card. These purchases happened almost a year after I had stopped playing, and were for a different Trion game (Arch Age).

Also, I quit the game because it was pay to win.

Game play, graphics & storyline was great. But since this game is free, there are a lot of restriction in it, unless you are willing to pay. For example, bag slots, armor slots (earrings). I can understand the game need to make money in some way to keep it running but for bag slots or and armor slots? I personally think it went a bit too far. Most MMO now a days are more or less the same but only apply to skins or mounts, for "want" item(s) and not a "need" item(s). Therefore, sadly I ahve uninstalled the game.

Trion Worlds, you have made some horrible, shady, disgustingly greedy choices in the past and present, and you will most likely continue to do so in the future. You've taken hundreds, if not thousands, of my dollars to fuel lockbox addictions and leveling races. I own hundreds of mounts and pets across your games, over 12 max level characters in Rift alone, not including archeage and Trove.

I hate your guts, I've sworn off your games and come crawling back more times than I'd like to admit, like an alcoholic disappointing his family by whispering "one more" in the night...

...But ♥♥♥♥ it all, you make incredible games. And I refuse to play anything less.

100 dollar "optional" DLC/10, would sadly play again.

this game to me is great. i usually play it when i dont want to pay blizzard to play wow. but recently i havent even thought about going back to wow even though i have 3 max characters on the last expansion and i even prepurchased the newest one when it was first available for pre purchase. the only thing i dont like is how long it takes to find a group to dungeon with. it seems like the community has died down a little but the ones that stayed are the ones that will teach you how to play if you dont know or help you improve your skills. my characters on rift arent above 35 but i can say that i love this game a lot. i definately recamend this game to anyone looking for a "wow killer" or are looking for something new or just a break from other mmorpg. since my spelling is horrid they few that can make any sence out of this thank you for taking the time to decifer this and have a great day/night.
