What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The project is ambitious even for a team that already has extensive experience in development of large and complex online projects, as well as numerous single-player games for PC and consoles.

To truly make Crossout a dream game, we need the help of the gaming community. We are confident that together we will create a new gaming world, where we can build incredible armoured vehicles and fight shoulder to shoulder in heated multiplayer battles.

Please note that Open Beta of the game will be free-to-play. By purchasing Early Access pack you get in-game premium currency and exclusive bonuses that will be transferred to OBT, and access to closed beta.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Open beta testing of the game is scheduled for Q2 2017.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game is constantly being tweaked and updated, by the time open beta starts it's going to be significantly different from the version available today. It's going to have many new features and elements, including some of those our players suggested during Early Access.

This is what we plan to add to the game in the near future:

  • Many new and exciting PvE modes and missions.
  • New PvP modes, including racing!
  • New maps for a variety of strategies and tactical maneuvers.
  • Lots of new parts to create your very own exclusive armoured vehicle.
  • New weapons for any combat style.
  • New ways of transportation — for example, hover drives etc.
  • VR device support.

Of course, this is not the complete list of game features planned for release by the beginning of open testing. In addition, we are confident that players will offer us a lot of interesting ideas which we can add to the game during Early Access, or later during the project's road to release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Players can already build unique armoured vehicles of absolutely incredible design and features. You can battle these vehicles against machines under the control of artificial intelligence, as well as against other players in whirlwind PvP battles.

Many PvE missions let you play with friends against AI, complete a variety of tasks and get rewards for victories in battle.

In addition, players can buy and sell vehicle parts on a market where supply and demand are shaped only by players themselves.

In the blueprints exhibition, you can inspect and try out the most incredible designs built by other players, plus share your own unique ideas.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“In the closed Early Access stage the game will be open to players who purchase a special Early Access Bundle. After transition into open beta, the game will be distributed via a free-to-play model.

After purchase, content will be available immediately. At the start of open testing, all in-game progress on all accounts will be reset, but all premium content Previously purchased will be assigned once again to the account.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have already established close cooperation with between players and the development team through the forum on the project's website. We are going to apply the same practices to Steam forums. This will allow us to collect ideas, opinions and learn about existing problems. We also keep in touch with the players in a special section on
Reddit, where we do our best to answer all questions, to involve everyone who wants to make the game better in its development!
We also recommend that you subscribe to the official Crossout group on popular social networks Facebook, Twitter and Google+ to get the latest news about the game and participate in the development process with us.”

Crossout Update 0.5.1

Survivors!
This update will be the last one before the event that you have been waiting for — the beginning of open beta testing! We took into account the opinions of the players, who thought that properties of some weapons did not match the atmosphere of the game. In this regard, we are conducting a large-scale phased improvement of all types of weapons of purple rarity and higher. The purpose of these changes is to make the mechanics of the guns more interesting.

‘Wasteland Warrior’ pack — the best deal

Survivors!
The pack ‘Wasteland Warrior’ will be changed after the start of the OBT. When buying the pack during CBT, you get 2000 in-game coins as part of the pack. After the start of open testing, the number of coins in the pack will decrease to 1500, however, for those who purchased the pack in advance, the amount will not change.

After the end of CBT, progress on all accounts will be reset, and with the start of OBT their content will be issued again and will be transferred to the release version.

Early Beta Access

You will receive a special early access bundle with your purchase "Wasteland Warrior":

Immediate game access, 2000 in-game coins
Unique armored vehicle ‘Bloodhound’, Vehicle weapon - 2 ‘Sledgehammer’ shotguns
Unique character portrait: ‘Aleph’, Paint can: Dark red, Pattern: Scorched Earth

Additional information:

At the end of the Closed Beta all the in-game progress of all accounts will be reset, but all the premium content purchased will be assigned to the account with the start of Open Beta and to the game's release.

The lost did not get their name by chance — when changes go too far, many of them lose their memory and social skills. But they become excellent fighters and mechanics driven by wanderlust. They are always in motion: as if looking for something, following the signals, known only to themselves.
Aleph first heard the call when a shimmering blue design appeared on his wrist. Then he started building a vehicle with his own hands from parts found on the battlefield, and called it ‘Bloodhound’. And when his eyes started glowing in the dark, he rode it towards the wastes.

Unique vehicles presented in bundles have particularly well-balanced weapons, high armor quality and speed in combat. To use the vehicle, open blueprints menu in the lower right of your garage, pick the vehicle and press "Load". For some parts you can only have one set of them on the account. When purchasing multiple packs with same parts they do not stack!

Unique portraits are a great opportunity to stand out among the survivors.

Paint cans are great for making your cars look truly outstanding

Coins - is an in-game currency, which is used to buy vehicle parts from other users in the market and to pay the rent for the workbench to produce new parts. Note! If you purchase several packs, coins included in them stack!

Note! Available only for Windows.

How to link your Steam and Gaijin.net accounts

If you previously played Crossout or have a Gaijin.net account, we recommend that you link your Steam and Gaijin.net accounts when you first start the game through Steam. If this is not done when you first start the game from Steam, then in the future you will not be able to link your accounts.
We encourage you to sign up for a Gaijin.net account if you don't have one. This will allow you to continue to use all the additional features of the game.

Here is a brief guide on how to link your Steam and Gaijin.net accounts

Two windows for linking accounts will appear on your screen.

To link the accounts, enter your Gaijin.net account data in the left window and confirm that you want to link your accounts.

If you haven't got a Gaijin.net account or if you choose not to link accounts, you can log into the game through the right window. But you will no longer be able to link your accounts in the future.

Attention! If you failed to link accounts by mistake and entered the game only through Steam, but still want your accounts to be linked, we recommend that you do not make any in-game actions, especially in the market, and contact support. We will try to help you.

If you previously played ‘War Thunder’, then most likely your accounts are already linked.

Attention!
It is crucial for survivors to acquire the Steam pack in order to link the Gaijin.net and Steam accounts at this stage. This is due to the fact that the game is not in free access yet. For those who have access to the game and want to associate the account without purchasing the steam-set, it will be available in the future.

Update Notes

Starting today, all Steam users will have the opportunity to link their account to the Gaijin.net service. This is required to:

  • Contact technical support
  • Make purchases in the Gaijin store, including game nickname change (the first change is free)
  • Get access to the closed part of the Crossout forum for closed beta test participants.
To do this, those who have no Gaijin account, need to link their e-mail to Steam:

Open game settings and click ‘Link e-mail to Steam’

Enter your e-mail in the box

Open the message that should be on your inbox. In it you will find the username and password for your Gaijin account

CROSSOUT - The Road to Apocalypse

In 2021 a mysterious viral epidemic known as the ‘Crossout’ swept the planet, countries and populations simultaneously began to fall at an alarming rate all over the Earth. Those who did not die in the first few days, were plagued by hallucinations and headaches, many people went mad, others and committed suicide. The source of the disease could not be detected but the cities that were once the vibrant social and economic beacons of humanity were left ravaged and deserted.

Survivors gradually began to change — after fifteen years of transformation, the changes became visible. The most noticeable metamorphosis occurred in the eyes of the affected — some began to glow, while others resembled black holes. To hide their unnatural looks and conceal the mutation, people started wearing padded clothing and sunglasses.

Twenty years have passed after ‘Crossout’. Humans still remember their life before the disaster. As always, there are groups trying to recover the old world, while others enjoy the chaos and destruction. But there are those who are not human any more. They hide their faces behind masks, and their motives are unknown.
