It plays like the original NES. It even does that slow down thing when there is too much ♥♥♥♥ on the screen.

It's Megaman.

I could've easily just loaded up the roms I have for these games but I felt I should buy it. Just to show Capcom and the people there who tried to kill off this franchise, that Megaman is the best thing they ever created.

It SHOULD have included Megaman 9 and Megaman 10. (The other "NES" versions)

YES, I know 9 and 10 weren't on NES. But it was using the NES graphics and the classic engine. Mega Man 7 and 8 were in 16 bit. I'd love to see them in this collection. But realistically 9 and 10 should've been included since they never got a proper PC release. Or just cut the crap and drop a Megaman Master Collection and put all 8bit and 16bit megamans including MMX in one release. Capcom could even keep up with their practices of leaving other games in the series out like Megaman 64 and Megaman Soccer. No one really cares about those. .....Right?

Each game is a direct port of the original, even with the same slowdown's that would happen on the NES. Even some of the graphical glitches. Nothing really too special included, aside from some challenge areas and achievements, not really worth 15 imo unless you're a big MM fan. Which I am..

Also why not just play this for free instead?
- Trailer shows Version 3. Version 4 is improved and now available from it's developers ;)

As much of a Mega Man fan as I am. This collection pack sadly does not do the NES versions justice. Suffering from noticeable input lag, and frequent crashes on my more than capable machine. The only people I would recommend this game to are people that have no other way of playing these classics. Emulators I've used in the past preform better and have better sound quality than this $15 game.

+ Six Mega Man games
+ Tons of cool concept art and character bios (ripped from Mega Man the Complete Works)

- Noticeable input lag
- Bad sound quality (compared to the original cartridges on NES)
- Frequent crashes
- No seperate control for in game audio
- No Remixed Music tracks

Overall it feels like a dumbed down version of the Anniversery Collection we got over 10 years ago. Less games, less features, and worse audio quality.

I grew up with the Mega Man games on NES, and I think this is a very faithful series of ports. You do have to get used to some of the controls being changed up, like the select button. But other then that, I didn't really find anything wrong. I hope this trend continues and we see more retro titles ported over to Steam. I'm surprised it's taken this long to get collections like this one here honestly. Anyway, for fans of the NES games or people that can't get their hands on the original hardware, this is worth the purchase.

As big of a fan I am of Mega Man I can't recommend this game. Nostalgia has betrayed me with this collection.

+Nice to see Capcom give Mega Man attention
+Can own Mega Man 1-6 legit on PC
+Great collection of artwork and music
+Challenge mode can be a distraction

-Control feels really off from input lag
-Severe framerate issues couresty of preserving the NES hardware limitations
-Cause of above issue Mega Man 3 is "more" difficult cause of slowdown
-Inferior to the anniversary collection we got in 2004
-missed opportunity to include Mega Man 9 and 10 on PC

They've seem to have worked out the bugs by updating the game.
It functions perfectly.
No input lag from what I can tell.

Cool to finally play Megaman for my first time, but too bad it's ruined a little with those ♥♥♥♥ing fps drops from the "badniks" in the levels either when they spawn in the next screen or when they hit me(usually an explosion)

Love Megaman. Love presentation and emulation on this collection.
Price is a bit steep, but with a nice discount this should satisfy all of your original Megaman needs on Steam.

It's a good start, for CapCom, atleast. I do like how they've bundled the classic six together, but, we haven't heard any notice about MM7,8,9, or 10. The X Series is pretty old now, and you think they would have released a X on steam, but to our dismay, no. It would have been nice to have those inclusions on the steam store. But back to MMLC. All six games feel as if it was ported from the NES, with all six still containing the infamous glitches. The challenges are a very nice addition, though I feel if some of the challenges are more challenging than they should. Though they do give speedrunners a run for their money. I do like the fact that you can change from Mega Man into Rock Man, making it the slightest harder. One of the most interesting additions to the game is the Gallery. I enjoy looking through the robot enimies's weaknesses and looking at their backstories, in which were made well, (But sometimes the ongoing Light Lab music can be irritating). Switching the topic, sometimes when you start the game, the screen is wonky or it goes black. Sometimes the music refuses to play. This is something CapCom should have fixed a while ago, but, It can be fixed through some file looking. Now, I love the way CapCom treats their fans, but they did not fix this game and hear the complaints of others. But, hey, atleast it's still the same Mega Man that we know. Only now, on PC

Rockman/ Megaman was a part of my childhood. My mom and dad bought me a Famicom (essentially Asia's NES) and they brought three games for me. One of them was Rockman, the very first one. This was in 1989-1990. Ever since then, I've been hooked. Rockman has been my favorite NES-era character since I could remember.

That said, this collection brings back so many memories. It has everything - the good and the bad. Play with a controller and have a great time.

I haven't experienced any input lag or anything like that. It's either that or I just have nostalgia glasses on.

Really good platform game and it brings back the classics. Buy this and you get 6 games in one. I had a blast playing this through. This game is good for those that are Megaman fans and wish to relive the classics, or for new people that loves platform games. This really nailed it.

I would suggest Capcom bringing more of the Megaman games, I'll likely to buy them if it really happened.

I absoutely love Mega Man. Although some of the games aren't amazing, it is still one of my favorite series of video games. Most of my time playing Mega Man has been on a NES though.
