About the Game

Long after the passing of the Second Shadow, when dragons ruled the twilight sky and the stars were bright and numerous, came the Age of the Great Guilds.

Blacksmiths. Shepherds. Clerics. Each dedicated to the absolute control of secret knowledge.

Another such Guild was the Weavers. Over the centuries, their craft transcended the limits of physical cloth, until they wove the very fabric of reality itself. Now, a strange power has swept the Weavers into oblivion, leaving behind one Weaver boy to unravel the mystery. Help young Bobbin rescue his Guild...and you just might save the universe from an unspeakable catastrophe.

Such an amazing game from the good old LucasArts days. There was a time I thought I would see sequels to this and Maniac Mansion. Now they are gone. If you like the sorrowful British feel of Fables and enjoy adventure games then please buy this gem!

Ultimately, it was difficult for me to choose whether to choose yes or no for this game - I enjoyed myself (although I tend to be notoriously easy to please), but I don't think I would recommend this one to most of my friends.

Loom is a point and click adventure game which focuses on the use of a music to invoke magic to solve problems. The story feels a little disconnected, although it does make sense within the world, but in an odd change from the usual inventory management of these sorts of games, I didn't find the music methodology to be exceedingly engaging. I did not play the original (which apparently had a more involved story) so that might have helped to grab my attention a little bit more.

The game's alright. Not great, but not bad. There's just better examples of the point and click adventure game genre on Steam, so unless you're REALLY into this genre, it's probably not your thing.
