This game is a hot mess. I love the Nancy Drew games but this is one of the worst games in the series. The plot is not well done, it's like 3 weak subplots smooshed together to make the 'mystery'. The characters were strange and unlikeable, the puzzles were lackluster, and the ending was awful.

Probably the one fun thing about this game was being able to play as Frank and Joe Hardy. Plus the graphics were nice and I could appreciate the fact that when this game came out the graphics would have been fairly cutting edge for a ND game.

Overall this game feels like the production of it was rushed and not a lot of effort was put into it. I'm really surprised that Her Interactive would release a game this bad. There are much, much better games in the series and I would reccomend pretty much any of them over this one. Unless you are a Nancy Drew fan and really want to play every title in the series, I would skip this one.

Another great Nancy Drew game! This one is a bit easier than some of them, but still has some good puzzles. Same great story line, and I enjoyed the Hardy Boys crossover which made the game interesting. You have to make necklaces and fish in this one to make money, which I prefer over some of the games with food service. The story line is good, with a few nice twists, and science themes. Big fan of Her Interactive games!

A blast from my past! While not the best graphically, and actually a bit of a simple game, this point-and-click adventure still brought a smile to my face.

I would recommend this game- to beginners. This game was very easy and it ended before I fully explored the island and the characters' personalities. Usually in Nancy Drew Games, you come to a part where it is pretty difficult. None of that was in this game. The plot was mild. The crime nor the criminal was very sinister. Many aspects of the game were fun, but it would bore all experts. I would rate this game a 2/10 for experts and an 9/10 for novices. I took off one point for novices because the plot is DEFINITELY not the best Nancy Drew has to offer.

Im gonna have to give this game a 10/10. The games storyline is just fantastic just like the rest of the Nancy Drew game series. The graphics are just breathtaking, crisis-like graphics that just run so smoothly! The team of developers did a great job with the interactive parts of the game, being able to click so many different things gets you thinking whether to go one way or another. I would reccomend this game to any hardcore PC gamers that enjoy Carl on Duty: Black Cops II, Taint Show: The Turd, or GuyRim. You really do get your money's worth with this classic PC gem of the 2000s.

This was the first Nancy Drew game I've played. I just finished it and already am waiting for the next game to download. It was fun, yet challenging. The puzzles weren't extremely hard, yet they weren't easy, either.

I really liked this game. The puzzles were fun and the fact that you can play the Hardy Boys is a fun twist.

The seashell collecting and the fishing was a little tedious, and the ending wasn't as satisfying as other Nancy Drew games, but it was still pretty interesting.

I'd give this game a 7 out of 10.

I adore the Nancy Drew mystery series. They're excellent point-and-click adventure games with a kooky sense of humor, fun minigames, and great puzzles. However, this one was hands-down my least favorite of the series.

Plot: There was very little? The game focuses too strongly on the mechanism of being both Nancy and the Hardy Boys (which is fun, sure, but not enough to carry the game), and not enough time is spent unraveling the plot. Instead of letting the player put all the pieces together, the answer is just dumped on you in several minutes of exposition at the end of the game.

Minigames: There were three. An arcade game version of rock paper scissors (seriously,) making shell necklaces according to a pattern (you have to acquire the shells by either wandering the beach/scuba diving for the rest of your life, or buy them from the little store. Some necklaces cannot be completed without purchasing items, which was boring), and fishing. Yes. Fishing. You click the horizon. Wait for the bobber to drop. Click the bobber. Bam, fish. That was the whole thing.

Puzzles: There were a number of puzzles, which ranged from busy work (separate insect parts from seeds and count them, do math, write up a chart), to "push buttons in order that you saw them in the hallway," to "make one hundred snow cones for some guy until he tells you you did it right." None of these were especially entertaining or needed much use of your mind to complete them. At the end there is a completely nonsensical puzzle where you guide one of the Hardy Boys to jump onto a stone pathway... and he dissapears and reappears randomly around the pathway? That's not... how pathways work? I don't understand.

Snooping/Exploring: There was very little! Most of the locations are just long pathways to click through. I want to rummage through people's desks and sneak into their bedrooms, but we don't really get to do that much at all in this game.

Characters: Nancy Drew usually has a variety of colorful, weird, kooky characters. This time? We have an angry guy, a rambling woman who is more annoying than charming, and a guy and his daughter who play the parts of Stereotypical Hawaiian Native and Stereotypical Surfer Girl.

Also... this game did not age well at all. Even the updated version for steam was... yikes.

This is a great game with a lot of fun puzzles and a great atmosphere. Plus, you get to make necklaces and fish! There were a few glitches, but they weren't a big problem and they were taken care of quickly. Overall, this is a great game which I would highly suggest to all you Nancy Drew lovers out there! :)

I've been enjoying Nancy Drew games for quite sometime now. I enjoyed playing this one, I love the stories with the Hardy Boys involved. I suppose I did end up playing it for about 4 and half hours, but it seemed a bit short to me. The longest tasks were making the necklaces or catching the fish, which really didn't have much to do with the story at all. Plus the "villian" wasn't really all that scary or bad. So I suppose if you want a low key Nancy game this one is for you, otherwise if you want more of a scare I would try another one.
