"Kings Bounty is what would happen if you took the castle building out of Heroes of Might and Magic and focused on the development of one hero. Spiffing."

About This Game

King's Bounty: Armored Princess is a sequel to the critically acclaimed King’s Bounty: The Legend. Players will take on the role of Princess Amelie who travels around the world of Teana and searches for the renowned knight, and her mentor, Bill Gilbert. This new world of King’s Bounty: Armored Princess is full of mysteries and dangers. The new character, the Princess, will encounter horrible creatures, huge monstrous bosses and a new race, the bloodthirsty Lizards. As in the multi-award winning game on which this sequel is based, the player has many options to resist these new enemies. Various new skills and characteristics of Amelie as well as her chance to fly will help her overcome the hordes attacking the kingdom.

The Princess is accompanied by a Pet Dragon, at the very beginning small and amusing, but its abilities develop steadily until it becomes an incredible ally. He will do his best to protect the Princess during the battles, starting with easy blows and treasure hunting and finishing with battle rage and volcano summoning.

  • New fascinating story-line and a whole new continent to explore
  • A new female character to play – Princess Amelie
  • Medals giving bonuses can be received for special achievements
  • Pet Dragon which becomes more powerful as the player does
  • New Lizard race

  • Fast travel between opened continents
  • Hire companions
  • Resurrection of the classic system of contracts and headhunting

  • Brand new spells and new Adventure Magic spell for game map
  • New unique bosses: Driller, Gremlion, Archdemon Baal and many others
  • New engine supporting the latest graphic effects

That's excellent story: Smart, not overhelming, rewarding, full of sharp details

That's excellent tactics:
Look close to HoMM3, but with more variety in battles, higher challenge.
Balanced but still a lot challenge.

That's excellent graphics:
Sharp, 2,5D+, fast and without annoying effects.

That's RPG:
You level up, spend your points all points matter.

Sounds like a poor advertisement? But this game is different. Difference is that all of the above is total true.

Recommend everyone to enjoy it!

I took a chance buying this game as I had never played any of the franchise, I am glad I did. It plays much like Might and Magic in terms of the view and interaction with gold,Treasure and packs of monsters. The graphics are better and has a good soundtrack. The difference between this and M&M is the use of castles and keeps. The castles here are really places to recrui different types of monsters or soldiers, you dont upgrade elements of it during gameplay this game is more bout the battles. You can also run around the map as much as you like as there are no turns during exploration only during combat

combat follows a turn based approach where it goes into a grid mode and you move and attack then the enemy does the same, The game is a much faster paced game than the might and magic franchise and looks great.

Thoroughly enjoying it

DON´T BUY THIS GAME!!!

The official Expansion "Crossworlds" has the original "Armored Princess" Campaign plus extras (new Skills, Magic, Units,...) in the original campaign. Plus 2 new Campaigns and other things.

And that for the same price...

This game is really quite charming-- cute colorful graphics, nice animations-- but also fairly challenging. It's turn-based combat, more like Civ than any RPG. You can run five creatures at any time; you'll have your favorites, but as you have to buy replacements and the supply varies by region, you'll end up trying quite a few different fighters. (It might be overwhelming if you had to learn them all at once, but you get introduced to them region by region.) It's very satisfying to win a battle with no losses.

King's Bounty seems to be largely remaking the game every couple of years... the next game, Warriors of the North, is very very similar to this one. Given that, might as well go with Amelie who is more fun than the barbarian hero of the other game.

It's a good strategy game for those, who like challanges. I'll make my review positive only for that, because I don't like this sequel. Here is why: the overall story is really bad.
When I say bad, I mean REALLY BAD. The dialogs are cranky and jokes mostly based on the fact that the main character is a woman. Isn't that bad enough for you? Well, remember that box full of guardians you had in The Legend, which was so much powerfull back up for the main plot? Here you got a pet dragon! Yeah, you get him RIGHT on the beggining a-and... nothing. It's just same box, but looks like a dragon. No dialogs, no cool sense of something awesome (because you always can have a dragon or two in your army... i mean, seriously, just a dragon?). Yeah it's cute, so if you like ponies or something you can get the fun of it (before he become grown up).
So I'd better buy The Legend again and play it one more time (plus to another 2 times i played it before). I still return to this game sometimes to fight the battle or two, but I can do it by playing HoMM3 with my friend, which is more preferable.

A nice story, with some good gameplay. I loved the original (The Legend) back when it was first released, although it did start to get a bit repetitive as time went on. In the end, I switched the difficulty down to easy simply so I could finish it more quickly.

If you're into turn-based combat with rpg and strategy elements, then this might be a good choice.

Fun game... a little to linier for my tastes though.... but its basicly heroes of might and magic like... only without castles, and only one hero... so hero of might and magic.... i take that back you can pick one or the other... so hero of might OR magic

Incredibly addicting and with a surprising amount of depth, lore and varience - this is a game that will keep you up playing for "one more quest"

Kings Bounty is an easy to learn and well balanced Hex-field based game. The whole series is nice to play. So: recommended!

A fun, fantastic blend of Heroes of Might and Magic spliced with Warcraft designs in some areas. Yet, this game will continue to surprise you as you find yourself enjoyingly sinking time into this wonderfully crafted story. This is well worth the money; I've been very impressed. My husband has also bought the game and has already been glued to it. A good game indeed!

Steam's "hours played" stat can be viewed as either a badge of honor or a mark of shame. For King's Bounty, more the latter than the former.

It would be a VERY good game if not for the loading screen bug, it's just irritating as hell, and there is no fix since 2010? Are you f*cking serious? I loved Legend and I would love this one too if not for this IRRITATING BUG!

A solid King's Bounty game. I would describe it as more of the same. The King's Bounty games are similar to HoM&M without the multi player aspect and a focus on storytelling. I wouldn't recommend buying this game without the Crossworlds add-on.
