Worst game ever. Jumping is impossible to control, and you cant aim upwards. this makes the boss (actually just an average enemy with lots of health) on Test 6 impossible. You have no room to dodge, and you can't shoot the projectiles because you can't aim upwards properly. This game feels like its in VERY early alpha, and seems like it would of taken a couple of days to make. This game shouldn't even be on Steam, it's complete garbage.

This game is good. Utterly good.

I must admit it, it's very short: there are only nine levels, and once you complete them the game is over. There are no achievement to keep you playing a little... Things like complete every level in order without dying even once.
Furthermore, the difficulty swings between excessively easy to quite hard, depending by the level and other factors.
Only three weapons, and when you can choose which you want to use, the machinegun turns out to be the best one, most efficient and the one with the best feedback. The baseball bat... it's a melee weapon, hence you'll find it having its inherent downsides, along with a low speed; Nonetheless, I found the shotgun having the same, discouraging, rate of fire.

But forget all these things! There are flaws, undoubtedly, but the bright colours and the happy dubstep soundtrack will surely let you enjoy the little trip among the twists and turns that this game has to offer. It will be a short ride, but intense and original.
While you will find yourself unable to change almost any settings, but it doesn't matter; this is a game that has to be taken as we used to approach those Insert Coin games, which entertained ourselves for several hours in the arcade rooms.

Do not expec a masterpiece. Expect something that feels not even Beta Access, but Alpha Build, regardless, I recommend you this purchase: if you're going to pay it less than a burger, then it's definitely worth the purchase!

If you need ratings

Grapich: 6
Sound: 6
Longevity: 2
Gameplay: 6

Overall: 5/10

As someone who dislikes the dubstep, I'm in love with its soundtrack. It's surprisingly fitting for this terrible game.
Buy it if you can appreciate simplistic games.

Back when I was 9 years old my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. She died 4 months later. I was in deep depression, Kids bullied me at school because my mom had "cancer ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" and I tried to kill myself at the age of 10. After hearing the news, my grandmother was looking everywhere she could to find something to make me happy again, and then she found it: Dead Bits.

She gave the game to me on my 11th birthday and I've enjoyed it ever since! It completely made me forget about my mother's tragic death and boosted my overall happiness extreme amounts. I lost my virginity at the age of 12 due to this game. It helped me out of my depression, motivated me to lose weight and start lifting. Shortly after I noticed an increase in girls being attracted to me, little Annie was one of the few really interested in me, she took me behind the playground at recess one day and we did things I didn't even think were possible.

I put it in her pooty-hole.

Overall, I think Dead Bits is a very good game. I was NOT paid to write this review, this is coming from a happy customer. Thank you, dev, without you I still wouldn't know how a "backwards cow-flipper pancake" REALLY feels when a real girl does it.

10/10

12/10 with rice :^)

Not sure if this should be even called a "game". But I am sure about another thing - this should NOT be available to worldwide customers on Steam. If disrespecting gamers community will not be stopped, soon they will offer to us nothing, and we will have to pay for it. Making games is like an art... just like painting when it comes to imagination... Dead Bits is like empty easel.

Why?
Why can I bunnyhop and won't stop jumping?
Why is there unlimited ammo?
Why are there pitfalls everywhere?
Why does the game change its pace every level?

Controls are kinda awkward, especially that bunny hopping can easily kill you. And the game needs to decide what it wants to be. Sometimes it's a shooter, sometimes a bad 3d platformer. Level design seems arbitrary to me with obvious misdesigns. Why do I have to get the bat and don't have it from the beginning? Enemy AI is non-existant. Why change the environement in level 6? Why insta-kill lava without warning? Why why why?

I honestly could not stand this game even though I played through the first five levels. Being hard is one thing, being frustrating another. Do not buy this, even for one buck. Sorry.

The soundtrack is good though. And it has cards. I don't care.

This game as a commercial product is a bad joke. I dont know where it is came from into my library. From a bundle maybe. It appeared in the list of badges with card drops remaining, thats why I started it. I wont waste my time to write a long criticism, others did it already. Believe them. This "game" is completely garbage. It isnt worth your time, even if you get it for free.

This is a game programmed, desgined, etc. by one guy. having seen that, I'm going to change my review a little bit.

While good and simplistic in design, there are a few things about this game that are frustrating.

- when shooting at large enemies close up, there are usually no frames of reference, causing cheap falling deaths
- the weapons are fairly ineffective
- The platforming is frustrating.
- if you die, you have to reload the level. There is no retry button, save for the last level, which restarts on it's own when you die.

There is a certain bit of trial an error in the game... The weapons are farily weak, yes. But it does add to the panic of the game... and some cheap deaths I mentioned above.

The level designs are pretty meh until you get to the 6th and 7th levels. Then they look really cool, but the platforming is still rough, 8th level is unique, 9th is a gauntlet. Be warned... the 5th level is super frustrating...

The soundtrack is awesome! I really enjoyed listening to it. Even when I was growling in frustration, the music (when it played) was entertaining and kept me somewhat involved.

This game is far from perfect. I recommend this game with a caveat: Don't come into this expecting perfect physics and amazing controls. This I see as more of an art project. Kinda neat, but not something to spend a whole lot of time on.

This game seems like it was made by a 12 year old, in the ROBLOX game engine. Litterally block zombies run at you, you kill zombies "Yes" also lets talk about the unessasary dubstep moments of slow motion, dont buy it unless it was on for 12 cents like when I bought it. also I finished it in one playtrough at night.

All these people grumbling! How wrong can you go spending 18 cents (Canadian)?

It hurts to think that I could have bought half inch of cold coffee in the bottom of a used styrofoam cup, but spent that 18 cents here instead.

Btw, I haven't played this game for 11 hours. I fell asleep with the game running.
