What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Robocraft has been built with a dedicated community of Robocrafters from the very beginning. It's first release was in April 2013 and had no multiplayer and no combat. From that point and to now the game has grown to it's full MMO state and whilst we still call it a 'Live Alpha' you will find it a very polished and fully featured experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Freejam are now plotting a path to Full Release with an aim to be fully release by early 2016.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Whilst users accounts will never be reset - so what you earn in game now you will always keep - the Full Release of Robocraft will contain a number of additional key core features, specifically Clans (inc. Clan Battles), Rank (inc. Ranked Battles), more game modes, Coloring your Robot, a PVE mode and translation into many languages.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We call it 'Early Alpha' but we expect you to find it as polished and fully featured as most 'Beta' releases.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, Robocraft will always be Free-to-play and our prices won't change as a result of shifting from Early Access to a full release in future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Freejam (the developer of Robocraft) has community in it's blood. The word Freejam is a combination of 'Free' and 'Jam' where 'Free' shows our dedication to keeping Robocraft always Free and 'Jam' stands for 'Jamming'. We like to think of Robocraft as a game that has been built from the ground up with the community and 'Jamming' with the community is ingrained in everything we do.”

Was a really good game until the "Unleashed" update.

Actually : full of bugs, completly unbalanced, broken leagues, broken match making, long waiting time, almost 0 social, and is about to destroy the game for redo from scratch...

The worst : the staff (admins and mods) who cries against competitives bots just plays uber competitive bots, exploit match making and make lose and block their players. If you try to talk, they ban you.

What can i say....
Its like a fallen Love.

Ill keep playing this game less and less with each "balance-update" wich makes the Game even more like each FPS-Shooter kinnda Cs, BF and CoD.

Building good and solid builds isnt necessary. You will get the same Result and Stats while stacking Blocks blind.

Really (!) nice idea behind all that weirdo balancing.

FPS Kids ruined just another game and the Devs just see the money they will get from these kids.

Resulting in a bad game.

I'm mean, don't get me wrong, this game is an amazing concept and MOST of it is well executed. I remember back before this recent patch that there was a tier system and depending what guns and armor and things you had put on your robot, would determine your rank and that would allow you to play with similarly ranked players. Now with a slightly uncomprehensible ranking system and no way to play any other game mode besides TDM without grinding for months, I see no point to this game. You're better off spending about 60$ for a premade mech that can work for a specific level and never remake that mech because no matter what you do, there will always be the turd that builds a flying plasma bomber.

This game is hard to pick up now because of all the overleveled people in low ranked matches.

Robocrafts fun, well use to be in 2014 before the game breaking updates came, its even worse now- singleplayer for me either ends in a sent back to mothership, or robocraft.exe not responding. also lag in both single, multiplayer causing me to die as it just stops for a few seconds.

On the otherside it is kinda fun, not as good as it use to be but creating bots is ok, either being scrap junk or op gunbeds.
Also- does anyone know what tier is in-between each ranking range? its also unbalanced for example early on, 50% of people have shields when you dont even have tier 2, play if you want but its a broken, glitchy game that was less glitchy ages ago.
I'd say 6/10, above average as it IS actually fun but not excellent, it's just barely managed the 6/10- back in 2014 aka the prime days i'd say it was around 7.5-8, maybe even 8.5/10- Also whats the point of multiplayer apart from rp (the currency) as singleplayer gives alot of easy experience and rp aswell.

Sorry, too unstable, unpredictable, and my online friends should not keep me up until 3am explaining it, after playing it for 15 hours.

But, meh, gotta give pro's and cons so here goes.

- It's great for creative people who have overflowing brains, think it, build it, battle it! I LOVED THAT. I made a boat :D
- If you have the mind for it, you can easily work out the battle system, and out tactic your enemy sneakily, or with ALL GUNS BLAZING!
- A million, trillion, gazzilion ways to play, build and so on, fight bots, or people, or just sit there building.
- Build whatever you want, colour, texture, size, it's all here.

- The game takes ages to level up and actually get to a point where you CAN choose your colours, textures and size. Like seriously. CPU caps? Such a low CPU dear god.
- Stick to Bots at first, EXP is mad and people are madder. Those Cannons WILL one shot you. It's unbalanced, people who have had months to experience and work out the game CAN and WILL be put against you. Unfair. 0/10
- Logic? Nah. Who needs logic. Obviously SMG's and Tesla blades are PRETTY similar. They should TOTALLY go on the same skill tree. 30 levels apart. So that people who (like Me) use melee in EVERY other game CANNOT get to them for like... weeks.
- Damage system? ♥♥♥♥ed. Absolutely ♥♥♥♥ed. You can reroute damage to other areas of your vessel.. no no, give me a sec here...
By NOT CONNECTING the blocks. No awkward computer systems, or perks. Just what could be considered a bug.
Sorry game. Again. 0/10. Lowbies get 0 chances of winning.
- the only Team mode, is of course, PVP. I hate PvP. Why not a Co-Op Player versus Bots mode? *Cry. Get your ♥♥♥♥ together devs, 12 year old kids can steal moms credit card, but 20 year old working men OWN that credit card.

To end this unview I'll say this, as previously stated, I own my credit card, the worse a game is, the more I WANT to play it, to beat it and become a pro.
But this game is ♥♥♥♥ED down to 0/10 - I could mod minecraft to be better than this. Nah, sh. it's minecraft with mods, deal with it.

Do I recommend it? No. Sorry. If you're like 12 - 15, sure. But for people with a logical brain, It's crazy stupid,.
