Community Request - Replays
  • You can now use your mouse to control the camera during replays. Right click toggles the camera lock, mouse up zooms in, mouse wheel down zooms out, and left click and drag to pan the camera.
  • You can now frame step with a controller during replays. Use the right stick left and right to step back and forward, and use the right stick up and/or down to pause/play.
New Game Mechanics (From Recent Test Features)
After a lot of testing, feedback, and discussion, we’ve decided to move a number of test features live. While we’re confident that these changes are good for the game, it doesn’t mean we’ll stop listening to feedback. Continue to let us know what you think, and we’ll continue to keep pushing the boundaries of Brawlhalla.
Weapon Spawn Changes
  • Weapon spawns will now alternate weapons on pickup.
  • Item spawning will not spawn more than two gadgets in a row.
  • Second spawn is always a weapon.
  • First spawn is a weapon and always spawns in the middle.
  • Changed the rules for clash tie breaking so that grounded moves beat air moves. Slide charges are treated as ground moves. Gravity Cancels have higher priority than air but lower than ground. Previous tiebreakers (Strength, Damage) have been removed.
Speed Dodge
After some discussion we’ve decided to consolidate the terms ‘chase dodge’ and ‘momentum dodge’ into a single term - ‘Speed Dodge’. ‘Chase’ and ‘momentum’ refer to the different methods used to enter a ‘Speed Dodge’ but the result is always the same. This should clear up any confusion in current and future patch notes.  
  • Speed Dodge Forgiveness: Landing a hit will allow you to speed dodge even if your dodge is on cooldown. Getting this speed dodge cannot lower your current cooldown. e.g., you can’t use it to get rid of extra cooldown from a gravity cancel. You can only get Speed Dodge Forgiveness once per cooldown period.
  • Canceling a Speed Dodge into an attack grants up to 10 invulnerability frames during the attack's startup frames. The invulnerability ends the first frame after a hitbox comes out.
  • Added a 14 frame delay after being hit before dodges are eligible to be Speed Dodges. This will prevent players from getting the momentum dodge bonus because of velocity from recently being hit.
New Test Features
We are exploring ways to encourage 2v2 teams to chase down enemies in 2v1 situations. This test feature makes hitting your teammate less lethal.  
  • In 2v2 only 75% of Variable Force is applied to teammates.
This test feature is designed to help with 2v2 Black Hole situations where players are hit by the same move over and over.
  • Same Move Directional Influence: gives a player some Directional Influence when hit by a combo that uses the same power more than once.
Client Performance
  • Reduced memory usage and churn.
  • Improved character select screen performance slightly.
  • Improved startup time and seeking for replays.
  • Improve startup time when spectating a match in progress.
New Legend Rotation
This week's Legend Rotation features Azoth, Cassidy, Queen Nai, Scarlet, Thatch and Wu Shang.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed some bugs related to multiple powers attempting to grab the same target at the same time.
  • Fixed a bug with test features where you could get a chase dodge in the middle of an attack.
  • Fixed a test feature bug where sig jumping can no longer be done with the lance recovery.
  • Fixed an issue with the mouse overs in the Game Settings menu not always highlighting the correct option.
  • Fixed bug where after a few games, bots were using the wrong ground distance causing them to behave less predictably.
  • Fixed a bug where the room number would still show up in the Lobby Rules tab of the Game Settings even if you were trying to hide it.
Balance Changes
Even though the Side Air has a rather lengthy Time to Hit for its range, repetitive use in certain situations can be a bit too strong. We are increasing the Cooldown to provide time for proper counterplay between uses.
  • Unarmed Side Air: Increased Cooldown from 0 to 12.
As the Ground Pound can be a very strong tool for the Spear, it could be restarted a little too quickly, so we are increasing the Cooldown to allow for more time between repetitive uses.
  • Spear Ground Pound: Increased Cooldown from 0 to 12.
Rocket Lance
We have updated the Hitboxing to better match the Recovery animation, resulting in slightly increased Range. To compensate, we have slightly reduced its incredibly strong Variable Force.
  • Rocket Lance Recovery: Updated Hitboxing to better follow the animation, resulting in Increased Range; Decreased Variable Force from 56 to 54.
The Axe Recovery can be followed up with other attacks a bit too quickly, so we are increasing the Variable Recovery to allow for a larger window between subsequent attacks.
  • Axe Recovery: Increased Variable Recovery from 10 to 14.
The Gauntlets Recovery can feel a bit unreliable when fighting your way back up to the stage, while the Ground Pound is a bit too strong for its utility, so we are shifting some power between the two.
  • Gauntlets Recovery: Increased Hitbox height for slightly more vertical range.
  • Gauntlets Ground Pound: Decreased Variable Force from 50 to 48.
Sir Roland
We are shifting some Force from Roland's overly strong Side Sword into his relatively weak Down Sword to bring both in line with other similar Signature attacks.
  • Sir Roland Side Sword: Decreased Variable Force from 56 to 54.
  • Sir Roland Down Sword: Increased Variable Force from 47 to 48.
Lucien has relatively low Damage on his attacks before the Strength and Defense stats apply, leaving some attacks disproportionately weak. We are slightly increasing the Damage on the final hit of his Neutral Katars so it is not so far behind other similar attacks.
  • Lucien Neutral Katars: Increased Damage of final hit from 13 to 15.
Ulgrim has a very reliable combo into his Neutral Lance that is slightly too strong, while his Down Lance is a bit too weak for the potential risk, so we are shifting some power from the Neutral Lance into the Down Lance.
  • Ulgrim Neutral Lance: Decreased Variable Force from 51 to 50.
  • Ulgrim Down Lance: Increased Variable Force from 44 to 46.
The Horn will now do Damage when thrown! It will now do around half the Damage of thrown weapons.
  • Sidekick Summoner: Increased Damage when thrown from 0 to a range of 2 to 5 depending on its speed.
  • Gauntlets Recovery: Updated Hurtboxing to better follow the animation.
  • Gauntlets Ground Pound: Fixed a bug that altered the falling Hitbox after being held for more than 39 frames.
  • Spear Recovery: Fixed a bug that prevented the Variable Force from trailing off as intended. Variable Force now properly drops from 44 to 38 for the last 10 frames of the Hit Window.
  • Improved logic for when powers pull targets through soft platforms. Should fix a number of rare drop cases.

We did however find Ulgrim working on a pair of new weapon skins in his spare time. We were able to get them into Mallhalla  for you before Lucien absconded to the black market with them.

More Test Features!
The new test features this week are aiming at making weapon spawning more strategic in the way it affects the start of each game and weapon swapping. Additionally we’re looking at making chase dodge more powerful as an approach tool by providing attack startup invulnerability and giving it its own cooldown. Let us know what you think of ALL the test features. We want to hear from you!

Previous Test Features Remain. They are as follows:
  • Signature Jumping: allows you to hit the jump button while charging a signature for an aerial Signature attack. This currently does not consume your dodge.
  • You can now charge a Gravity Canceled signature by up to 25 frames.
  • Jumping off the wall is no longer a grounded jump, it is now treated as your first aerial jump.
  • Removal of the strength then damage tiebreaker: moves clash more frequently.
  • Directional Influence is now possible on hits with Variable Force when the target is still stunned from a previous attack. (Such as during black hole combos)
It’s not quite Brawlhalla Movie Editor Pro Action MXI, but we think all of the GIF and Video creators out there will love these new replay tools.
  • You can now use your controller to leave replays
  • Added the ability to lock the camera during replays.
  • You can zoom and pan while the camera is locked in replays.
Default controls on Xbox 360 controller:
  • X/Y: Toggle camera locked/unlocked
  • A/RT/RB: Zoom in

Nejlepší 2D hra vůbec ??

Když s touhle hrou začínáte je pro vás neskutečně těžká ale když se naučíte kombinace útoků/comba atd. tak už to pro vás začne být lehčí a vy se chcete pořád zlepšovat. Skoro každý měsíc zde máte novou postavu/legendu a lepší 2D hru jsem snad nikde nikdy neviděl. Doporučuji pro všechny co chtějí hrát s přáteli i samy. Výborný je zde takzvaný "Ranked" systém což znamená že podle počtu výher se vám přičítá takzvaný "Elo rating" a čím vyšší máte Elo v tím vyšší jste "kategorii". Zde jsou kategorie jak jdou postupně. Tin, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond. A to je tak vše co bych o Brawlhalla řekl a kdybych to měl vyhodnotit na desíti bodové škále dal bych 8/10

Brawlhalla is a obvious Smash bros clone but it is still a fun game the only thing bad about it is the fact that you buy things with real money in the game and we can all agree Bullshot

Just writing this review for a steam quest but this is a sick game. It is easy to get into and simple at a first glance but as you get deeper into it you will begin to encounter advanced techniques and realize how high the skill ceiling is.

As an avid and competetive player of Smash Bros. Melee; I was initially skeptical of this game. Thinking that it was trying to be a Smash Bros. clone, or something of the like.
I was caught off guard by how fresh this game feels, and I'm almost hesitant to say that they improved on the Smash Bros. formula in some ways. This game is very easy to pick up, but not at all easy to master. Combos are challenging, but rewarding, characters are balanced very well (there aren't any sh*t tier legends, and every character has a fighting chance), and the weapon/item system is very interesting.
I could go on and on, but seriously, you are missing out if you don't give this gem a try.

Probably my favourite game on Steam right now. 10/10

Brawlhalla is a free to play brawler game, sort of like Smash Bros. It worked, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has 25 heroes in game list, i guess you have to buy some, you have 6 heroes to play to start. It is an online PVP game, but you can play a match with bots or play couch mode with more than one controller on your computer. Could use some game controllers for this game. Try it, if you like games like this.

Don't call it smash because you smash too ♥♥♥♥♥.

This game is an amazing free 2D Brawler game that bring competitive play and fun. The game is free there is no pay to win mechanic but you can use real life money to buy Mammoth Coins to buy stuff like Skins,TauntsandChest that unlock special skins and ect.

-Free to play
-ANY computer and run it
-The lore behind the legends are interesting and attention grabbing
-Fun an challenging when you get to the just of it
-Very nice and friendly community who respects one another
-Brawlhalla Live Streams and Twitter and Facebook reveal upcoming legends and give away special community colors for your legends!
-The game is addictive when trying to level up your legends to level 25 to get that delicious Black Color or Level 10 for a White color.
-The game also has replay value that keeps you coming back. Trying ti get all the legends, trying to get all the legends to level 25 and so on.

-This is all personal opinion, you have to play the game to get gold to buy legends, yes there free legends week to buy legends forever you need gold in which you obtain from playing games. I personally have mixed opinions about this so I'll keep it here for now.
-No updated tutorials on the game on Reddit or YouTube ect. (Though there are Brawlhalla youtubers that give guides and tips)
-The way the price of Mammoth Coins are set up is to make you have to pay more for what you want. Enough said, shame on you Brawlhalla.

I defiantly recommend this game. it has pulled me in ever since the start. At first glance, it may look like a Smash rip off but it has so much more to offer and is defiantly under credited. There are way more and way different mechanics then Smash and it really is, it's own unique game.

Brawlhalla is a F2P fighting game. More specifically, it's a Platform Fighter game in the same vein as Smash Brothers. Anyone familiar with the Super Smash Brothers series should be able to hop into this game with relative ease, and anyone who doesn't have experience with ANY games like these shouldn't have a hard time either. It's relatively straightforward, but the key difference that sets it apart from Smash is that it's item-based.

In Brawlhalla, your default weapon is your fists. You suck with your fists. You have barely any range, your attacks come out slow, and you don't do a lot of damage. Every character in the game has the exact same moveset with their fists. What you're supposed to do is pick up the weapons strewn about the battlefield. Once you get a weapon pickup, you'll randomly be assigned one of two different weapons depending on your character. Lord Vraxx for example can get Guns or a Rocket Lance. Thatch can get a Sword or a Gun. With a weapon, your moveset changes accordingly. Everyone's basic attacks with a weapon are the same (two different characters who both use guns will have similar base movesets) but there is a strong attack button that gives you access to your Signatures, which are like Smash attacks. Every character has 6 signatures (down, side, and neutral - three for each weapon). Using your regular attacks to rack up damage on the opponent and finishing them off with your signature techniques is the key to success here.

The fact that all the same weapons have the same basic attacks regardless of who you're playing as means that characters do initially feel much less unique than the rosters in other games like Rivals of Aether, but as a result the game is noticeably more balanced than most and there's more emphasis on individual player skill over the character you're playing. The weapons actually all feel really satisfying to use, and in the right hands you can pull off some pretty insane stuff with them. Feel free to pick a character with weapons you like. There's a viking, a rock dude, a monk, a pirate, and an alien overlord, among others. Gameplay is fluid and tight, and the netcode is surprisingly good.

The soundtrack is actually pretty tight too. Nothing's AMAZING but the music is pretty enjoyable to listen to, and the sound effects for each attack feel good, really sound like they hit hard and seriously add to the overall experience

The game itself is free to play, with a free rotation of heroes each week. You can earn coins through regular play to unlock heroes permanently, but you can easily play and enjoy it all without spending a dime. Compared to games like League and Smite the like, unlocking characters with coins is pretty generous because you'll likely only dedicate yourself to 2 characters at a time (unlike a MOBA where you'd need to learn several so you can fit into a team comp)

In addition there's a huge assortment of cosmetic items which you can purchase with real money if you desire. Weirdly enough I openly welcome the amount of cosmetic content there is. Every hero has at least 3 skins, and then there's alternate weapon skins you can get, KO effects, taunts, and sidekicks. The extra customization is nice for anyone who's willing to shell out for it, but if you don't then you're at no more of a disadvantage than anybody else (at least unless you feel like looking ugly is disadvantageous).

Partly due to it being F2P, the playerbase is surprisingly healthy. Casual online modes consist of Free For All (4 player brawls) and 1v1 Strikeout (three lives, but each life is a different character). For those who are a little more competitive, there's 1v1 Ranked and 2v2 Ranked. 2v2 in particular is a nice addition, as I find climbing with a friend and being able to wombo combo the enemy into oblivion to be immensely satisfying. I faced some toxicity at lower levels of play (Bronze to low Silver, really) but as I climbed I've met some really cool people. Much like any other fighting game, this requires some quick reflexes and split-second decision making, which may not be present in everyone and if you're not used to this sort of thing it may not be for you. Luckily there's a training mode which lets you work on certain things and gives analysis on attacks, framedata and hitbox info.

My only problem would be the art, and it's more like a personal preference than anything else. The art isn't bad, but it resembles something seen from a Facebook game and makes it seem kind The game itself luckily has a lot of value to it but the art style may turn some people away. The developers are luckily very open and transparent, and take feedback from the community on the discussion boards and the subreddit.

As a massive fan of Super Smash Bros. I instantly got hooked into this game. All of the characters (or legends) are unique in their own way. It is fun to train yourself and find out new combos to fight people with. There are 2 multi-player modes, ranked and regular online. It's sorta like "For fun" or "For glory" mode in Super Smash Bros. There are also a lot of cosmetic options for your character. You can even purchase skins from the shop, but that requires micro-transactions. The developers are constantly at work bringing this game to it's fullest potential by releasing new updates and characters rapidly. Overall, it doesn't have the graphics or quality of Super Smash Bros. But it is a great substitute for people who don't have the money for it.

I dont know how I even played 69hours atm. Its nice game, something like Super smash bros. It's really enjoyable game, unless you get spammer opponent, and that makes u want to ****ing kill em.:D

TL;DR: This is a great game for everyone. The controls are very simple and comfortable. It's seems like an 'easy to learn hard to master' kind of game, and I like it!

I have started playing Brawlhalla today with 2 of my friends, we did a free-for-all private match and it was totally fun and very funny too.

We played for like more than an hour without even notice, I'm gonna start playing ranked tomorrow.

This game has so much potential. I was thinking about downloading a free to play game from steam for a long but I didn't find anything that match my desires, until I came across this gem

It's free, all you have to do is just install it and start playing, believe me you won't regret!

Its a realy cool 2d game like smash bros but with differnts characters and for me better.
Its a free to play game and there´s lot of updates.
Blue Matmoth Games did a realy good job!
