It's kind of lame that Artifex Mundi ripped of Bioshock so directly in the setting here, but otherwise another very good HOG from them.

Relaxed game to play. Finished it in casual mode. I was pleasantly suprised about the completeness. It was not just a hidden object game, but it was more a point n click, hidden object, puzzle combination game.

To be honest I did expect a game with motion in graphics. Because most of the hidden object games i played were pretty static. It is different here. Really decent graphics and decent voices and goodlooking cutscenes. Also a decent story line.

The way you have to combine elements in the hidden object puzles to find some of the needed objkects was really nicely done. Like a little puzzle in a puzzle. It was not very hard, but good for few good hours of fun. Finished the game in about 8 hours total in casual mode. Replay value if you want to do it again without any hints and/or want to finish all achievements. There is even some bonus material to play.

Abyss is very clearly a rip-off of Bioshock in both theme and plot. The voice acting is passable at best, and the animation (or, what of it there is) is downright atrocious.

Despite this, the game is surprisingly charming. The finer points of the story really do draw you in, and you somehow care about the characters. The puzzles are fun, engaging, and at times quite difficult. Although the soundtrack isn't extensive, it's actually quite nice and helps the game to be immersive. The art is really quite lovely, and the point and the hidden objects are cleverly disguised. It's a great way to relax and unwind.

This is a nice hidden object game. The puzzles are good. Graphics are solid for this genre. Locations are really interesting. It's an underwater city. I was waiting for a Big Daddy to drill me to death at any moment!

Everything is easily identified, but not easy to find. All the puzzles require you to use some objects in the scene to uncover others. The puzzles that aren't hidden object games are fairly easy compared to other games in this genre, but they are of nice variety.

It took about 3.5 hours to complete the game. The story is okay, nothing memorable, nothing bad. My only gripe with this game is the movement system. You have to go from room to room, backtracking often, sometimes through a half dozen screens. I've played a number of other hidden object games that allow faster travel by selecting locations on the map, so this felt like a step back from that convenience.
