What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We believe in the power of playtesting and the value of feedback. Are you passionate about this kind of game? We want to hear from you! Your suggestions and constructive criticism will help us shape its destiny.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate the game will be in early access anywhere from 12 to 24 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The core game is built on three essential components: exploration, adventure, and creation. On that foundation, we'll be adding a variety of new features, systems, and content over the course of Early Access. We're excited to share these with you!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable with a decent amount of content, though it's certainly not bug-free. If you're experiencing an issue, let us know and we'll fix it. You can read more about our upcoming plans for the game in our FAQ.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During the first 15 months of Creativerse’s life, we charged $20 for the game. This allowed us to restrict its audience at a time when we weren’t quite ready for an influx of players. However, we always planned to make the game free as it’s our belief that this will allow us to reach the widest audience possible. Continued development is now being supported by microtransactions. We are making every effort to ensure that in-game purchases are not tied to the core loop of the game -- we want players to enjoy the game without being restricted by any pay-to-win or pay-to-play mechanics.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're hoping to get as much feedback as possible. Please let us know if you have any suggestions, whether it's a cool feature you’d like to see added or a change to something currently in the game. We've already added many features and changes based on player feedback and have no plans to stop.

Update: Upcoming change to blueprint system

Greetings, Creatifolks.

We wanted to give the community a quick heads-up about the future of one of our favorite Creativerse features: blueprints! We think blueprints are a lot of fun, and decided they’d be even better if they were free for everyone to enjoy. So effective R31, all blueprints will be free, though you’ll have the option to buy all the blocks if you want to get started building instantly. We’ll also be adding a bunch of new blueprints to the mix.

To prepare for the change, we're disabling blueprint purchases until the R31 update, which is a week or so away. We appreciate your patience as we work to give blueprints the democracy they deserve!

If you enjoy placing and removing blocks this is the game for you. Fast facts to go :

- Free to play
- Nice grafic
- Awesome ambient music
- Beginner firendly since there are different difficulty areas
- Cool crafting system for blocks, furniture, utilities, gear, food
- Lots of different blocks, always found a suitable block for what i wanted to build
- Pets ! you can tame any creature
- Fighting system with different gear levels
- Plant and harvest vegetables
- Never gets boring, there is always something to do.

- Players can claim land and edit setting as they wish. Other players can visit but cannot change, modify, or take anything from you, unless you give them permision to do so.

There are also blueprints for some structures you can build which are showing you where to place every single block making it fun to build for anybody. This can be bought with money but with the coming update they are offering all blueprints for free, making me wonder about 2 things :

1 : How will the developers eat ?
2: Why are you not downloading already ?

If this game cost money i probably not recommend it because it is currently feel like a missed opportunity. What is done is well done and working, bugs are rare. Graphic and game mechanic is good. Yet it should offer more for people who like to explore and love confrontation in PvE. Crafting and finding a way to poses better armor and swords is absolutely a fun, but beyond that the rest is volunteer work, no need no pressure. You can grow things for fun and build things for fun, and buy blocks in the store for fun and be creative. If you decide to not, you will be just fine. If this game ever have survival stile gameplay I gladly play for it. Because not much alternative is around for those who seeking block based games with good graphic + RPG elements and loads of useful recipes + enemies + challenging combat and exploration etc. Yes, good mods are there for Minecraft yet the graphic and combat mechanic is SUX. The competition if there any really (other than 7 Day To Die) is not worth to mention yet, because most of them is under development and may never get finished, or pushed out incomplete. So i suggest to try out this beauty and experience it, and hope one day it turn out as a lovely game with good mod support.

Hello everyone! This'll be a medium to long review.

Okay, so first of all, I don't play alot of games like this. The only one I've played similair to this is Terraria.
That being said, I was drawn to it because it's free and it looked okay.
I actually really like Creativerse as a whole, even though I've played for 3 hours total when writing this review.
It's open world is quite immersive, and it doesn't take ages to find other biomes and explore. Night-time is dangerous but the creatures look really awesome!
Building/crafting isn't that hard and pretty much explains itself. Which is good in my book.. It's a good book. 'cos it's my book.

RIGHT!

PROS:

+ Graphics: Smooth graphics and it runs rather smooth aswell. Even the blocks have detail! The scenery is often breathtaking even though it's made from blocks. It's beautifull!

+ Relatively easy crafting: As said above, the crafting explains itself. That being said, recources aren't that hard to come by in early stages appart from exploring but I figure it'll get alot harder later on.

+ Bestiary: Since I always want to read up on monsters before I actually encounter them, I came across a relatively large bestiary. From pig..things.. to Things. It's pretty diverse and each spawns within it's own biomes and Lord help me if I find myself in a cave!

+ Biomes: As diverse as the bestiary, as diverse are the different biomes to explore. Didn't take long before I found myself in a jungle.. at night time... getting nuked by creatures I was trying to run from. 10/10 would explore again!

+ Mining: Okay, so it's not actual mining with a mining pick. Why not? Because that's boring. And who uses a mining pick when you have a cell-powered WABBAJA- ehm.. MINING GLOVE! That's right! You just rip blocks out of their comfort zones and put them in your dark, dusty inventory only to be processed into more usefull things like rods or slabs.

CONS:

I can't really think of any major flaws. It's early acces, what would one expect? Goats stay on the ground? Wrong, I saw a couple fly into the air... Which was quite the hilarious sight, I might add.
So... so far so good! I hope the developers keep up the good work as I, and many others, would probably want to see more awesomeness!

11/10 Would recommend to anyone who likes exploring, gathering, crafting, surviving, building your own secret laboratory and slap pigs with a stick! No pun intended.

11/10 Would play again! Which I'm going to do.

This game got me hooked! So far this game is amazing, and I can't wait to see what else they'll have to offer since this game is in Early Access! The multiplayer is solid with little to no lag -- it's very fun with friends as well! I love how much variety of blocks there are to build and make each build you do unique. Overall this game is very well made and perfect for people who like sandbox building games!

There are some thing I hope they do which I will add here.

- Custom player skins
- More aggressive mobs
- Even more blocks
- Better item dropping system/trading system
- More contraptions
- Workshop support
- More survival based stuff like hunger and thirst

Ive recently stopped playing the game minecraft because i was looking for something more interesting and fun. So, i decided to look up on steam games like it and what to you know? There it is! This game has alot of wacky and complex structures within the game and its super fun to get better at and just explore. Although the world isnt that big and there are some minor bugs here and there, its still a very fun game which i reccomend for people who are into exploration upgrade games.

You know what, it's alright.

Mind you, I do play Minecraft, and I see similarities, but this takes a slightly different approach, which isn't a bad one. Most of what you do revolves around waiting. Extractors take time, processing takes time, etc.

Again, it's not a bad approach.

The only complaint I've had yet is the lack of skin variety, as well as some bugs. I understand that this is early access, but I do hope that these are remedied at some point.
6Overall, it...works. I can't quite speak in an experienced view, simply because I haven't messed around with multiplayer as of yet, which this game seems to be heavily based around. Though, for the low, low price of free, you can't go wrong.

If I were to give this game a star rating, I'd say...perhaps a 6-7 / 10.

While it may be similar to MInecraft, Creatifverse diverges greatly from MC. More are available to the player to use, craft with, craft, and decorate. Way more mobs and the mobs are significantly harder to take down; they also deal more damages. So getting better weapons, armour, and a steady supply of health potions is crucial. However, getting resources is also a dificult challenge. THe further you go down the more enemies and the stronger they are, but also the more valuable resources. SO stack up !!
You can also get a pet which in turn gives you free items, as long as you take care of it. My first pet was a rockster! But i lost him. It's been days(in game) since i've seen him. All I've had is my pigsy, Pig-o-tron, to comfort me,
Moreover, this game is best played with more people. You'll need to them to coordinate attacks, gather sources and build. The world is huge and unforgiving.
Great game, I will continue to play !!!

This game's astmosphere is great you really feel dread when your exploring a cave and when your in a forest exploring it is peaceful and quiet. Besides the astmosphere it has a good sense of progression you start off with nothing and work your way up it dose this in a way which is not too easy and not too hard, and for the people who love lore as myself there are notes hidden around in chests that tell you why you are here (at least that is what I got from it), it reads like a diary/journal. Another thing I want to talk about is that yes it is free but don't let that discourge you. Yes it dose have an in game store, it is in no way nesserary to progress in the game it only holds things like blue prints for structures and decorative blocks to let you customise your buildings more. The graphics and the visuals are just wonderful even at the lowest settings, and this ties into the astmosphere of the game. This conculdes my review of this game.

As someone whose all-time favorite game starts with 'mine' and ends with 'craft', most games in the craftlike genre just fail to scratch the itch the genre-setting title had left me with. I've tried dozens, and while a lot of them do build upon their own experiances and go their own ways in gameplay exploration, none have tackled what made minecraft so much fun to begin with.

So I've kept my eye on this title ambiently, and only recently realized it was finally open for free players. I was excited, but having known my past experiances, I wasn't overwhelmingly hopeful. Sure it looked cute, but could it scratch the itch?

Well, it did. Within the first 10min of gameplay I was thoroughly impressed. The block setup is quite familiar but as far as crafting and mining goes, it actually improves upon previous title's attempts in very intiutive and creative ways. I adore the mining nodes. I adore the crafting stations and how you can build a mixed queue. I love how the combat feels a bit MMO-y but not in a terrible way. The animal and character models do seem "out of place" depending on your opinions on graphics, but they are none the less well designed, beautifully textured and wonderfully modeled and animated.

It's just a gorgerous game. And as someone who likes open world games for aesthetics, I was quite pleased with this. The trees are robust and you genuinely feel like you're in a dense forset. The other biomes, though I have yet do explore too deeply into them due to tougher mobs, are just as gorgeous.

The pacing feels a bit odd, but It's tier-based as I feel a craftlike should be. In this case, there's many different layers of underground rocks and you can only progress past certain layers if you have the correct mining tier.

There are some things that feel a bit odd, but because they seem more unfinished than anything. The pet system is really awesome and I look forward to tamed animals being coded to act as combat buddies and mounts (they are only livestock atm.) and the fact you can tame almost anything save for a handful of named special mobs, is fantastic.

I'm genuinely looking forward to this title. I kind of wish it was a pay-for game, but I can understand their reasoning for micro transactions. And their micro transactions appear to be completely humane at this point in time as well, you are buying recipies for purely aesthetic building blocks, like tiles and carved stonework, as well as 3d blueprints to help you build a house if you're not the creative type.

All in all this is pretty dang solid. Eagerly looking forward to updates!

ps - I forgot to mention, this game is obviously heavily geared towards kids, but isn't dumbed down /at all/. Which makes me thrilled as an adult, and also thrilled that game companies catering to children are begining to understand kids aren't dumb as rocks and love challenges. Thank you, Playful!

This is a good game, but Creativerse still needs to update there's no point of the game unlike minecraft you get to kill a boss, something to really spice up this game would be doing that exact same thing add some bosses. Bosses will add an objective to the game once you play the game long enough you realize there's nothing left to do.

What they need to do:
-Add bosses
-Add another world like a sky realm something like minecraft, but different
-Add boats (I don't know if they have one)
-Improve combat
-Add long ranged weapons

The game is still a great game for an early access and I would suggest trying it out
