About This Game

The Firm is a classical tactical turn based game translated into VR.

Prepare in-between combat - Analyse enemies, choose your weapons, reload, activate abilities, heal up and set your move for the next round. When ready, dive into the action where taking cover and utilising destructible objects in the environment will be to your greater advantage. Once the round is done, prepare again and resume the gunfest.

Action Points taken from the classical tactical genre and tailored to VR by way of player speed and movement distance over 5 second duration combat rounds. Choose to equip light armour and light firearms and your movement distance and speed will be great, choose the heavy stuff and have the armament of a tank, you'll also crawl like one - Typical of turn based games.

Player stats increase after progressing through levels. Speed increases, allowing for faster and further movement. Health increases for better survival. Weapons and armour tiers also unlock, giving the player access to more and more.

AI takes into account the player's weapon and it's own, making decisions based on range. Long ranged opponents will flee if too close, some may wait and guard instead of attacking, some can evade while some utilise shields, have their own abilities and others will simply assault you head on.

Weapon varieties include Light Pistols, Combat Pistols, Heavy Pistols, Sub Machine Guns, Machine Guns, Hand Cannons, Shotguns, Rifles, Snipers & Blasters.

TURN BASED TACTICS

* JUST LIKE IN CLASSIC TURN-BASED, ENEMIES MOVE TOWARDS WHERE YOU WERE BEFORE THE ROUND STARTED AND DO NOT ADJUST THEIR PATH.
* BE AWARE OF ARMOR LEVEL & HEALTH.
* NATURAL COVER SYSTEM FOR PLAYER - IT'S VR FPS SO HIDE BEHIND SOMETHING OR KEEP MOVING, OTHERWISE THEY'LL BLAST YOU.
* FOREGO YOUR ATTACKS AND SPRINT FAST TO YOUR DESTINATION IN ORDER TO ESCAPE A STICKY SITUATION.
* CHOOSE A SAFE PLACE TO HEAL FOR THE ROUND AS HEALING RESTRICTS OTHER ACTIONS SUCH AS MOVEMENT, RELOADING OR ATTACKING.
* USE YOUR MEGA JUMP CYBERHACK TO LEAP ONTO HIGHER SURFACES OR ATTACK FROM THE AIR.
* UTILISE YOUR SHIELD CYBERHACK AND ABSORB THAT DAMAGE WHILE ESCAPING OR ADVANCING ON ENEMIES.
* ENABLE YOUR SPEED CYBERHACK AND INCREASE YOUR SPEED AND MOVEMENT DISTANCE FOR THE ROUND.
* ENABLE WEAPON ABILITIES THAT DO EXTRA DAMAGE, INCREASE RATE OF FIRE, STUN AND INCREASE RANGE.
* USE TACTICAL MODE TO SEE YOUR OPPONENT'S STATS AND CHECK YOUR WEAPON RANGE.

16 levels packed with various enemies and varying environments - from open battlefields, multi-level buildings and alleyways to narrow corridors and rooms.

48 Physics based weapons to play with that have feel and weight. They recoil and have their own sounds, animations and abilities as you would expect in any FPS shooter action game.

Many objects in the game are destructible.... for extra mayhem.

The Firm has two game modes. A story driven Scenario Mode where you advance level by level and a Single Game Mode offering all levels and weapons unlocked in Scenario mode. There's also a quick tutorial to get new players going with VR turn-based mechanics.
