The Cat Lady is an interesting game. It certainly stands out amongst any other game I can think of this year.
To start with, I'll just say that this game is not for everyone. It Is VERY, Text heavy, and there isn't much in the way of Gameplay, but I hope you expected that before you purchase this.
The Game follows Susan, who recently commited suicide by swallowing pills, but she was brought back by something I won't say. From here, we follow her on a journey to stop seven "Parasites", bad people who can't be trusted.
Having not completed the game, In my short time i've seen a number of things.
The Character Design and Development is amazing, you really feel for just about everyone
The art is stunning, and the lighting effects are very stylised and attractive.
Overall, the Atmosphere is very tight, and clear effort was put into it.
However, I have also noticed a few negatives.
The game has crashed on me alot. Running Windows 7 64Bit, with plenty of RAM, So i'm not sure where the problem is.
The game doesn't autosave, which without realising, effected me more because of the above problem.
If text goes off screen, it is not possible to know what it means, but generally, you can understand.
The must is a mixed bag. The start wasn't great, but starting from the Hospital, it was very relaxing.
Most of the Voice acting is amazing, but some lines seem delivered with no effort.
TLDR: Text heavy adventure style game, with some technical problems, but worth every penny.
