Key Price Adjustment for Steam

Happy weekend, Rocket League players! Now that we’ve seen Crates and Keys in action all over the world, we are taking steps today to ensure a happy and healthy in-game economy.

Effective immediately, we are making a worldwide adjustment to Key prices on Steam. These new adjustments will use existing USD key prices as a base (USD $1.49 individually; $4.99 for five keys, $9.99 for ten keys, and $19.99 for 20 keys) and will more closely align all markets.

This alignment is necessary because Keys are part of Rocket League's active economy. Some price adjustments are more dramatic than others, but are necessary to reflect the appropriate and approximate value of the keys regardless of your country of purchase.

Expect to see Key price adjustments on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the near future as well (price changes are a longer, more involved process on consoles).

Thanks for your continued support!

Explore AquaDome in October

It’s time to take your Battle-Cars 20,001 leagues under the sea with our FREE “AquaDome” update coming to Rocket League this October!

Inspired by the seven seas, the creatures beneath the waves, and the machines we use to study both, AquaDome is the first standard Arena we’ve released since Utopia Coliseum. Expect to see AquaDome on every Rocket League playlist, including Competitive, when it’s released next month.

In addition to the new Arena, we’ll also be launching two new Battle-Cars in the AquaDome update. Triton (a slick, futuristic ocean sub) and Proteus (a more science-minded research vessel) are both made to cruise below the waves and sail over the pitch. Both cars will be individually priced at USD $1.99 (or regional equivalent) per car.

Keep your eyes peeled for more AquaDome update information as we get closer to release! Check out the official trailer below:

SteamOS and Mac Beta Versions
As of September 8, 2016, the SteamOS and Mac versions of Rocket League® were released to "Beta." SteamOS is the only "officially" supported Linux client, though other Linux platforms may be compatible. Likewise, the Mac version may or may not work on older systems with an integrated video solution and a dedicated GPU is highly recommended (Macs from 2013 or after should be okay). Mac system requirements are as follows:

  • OS: MacOS X 10.8.5
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 2.4 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: OpenGL 4.1 - ATI Radeon HD 5670, NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M, Intel HD Graphics 4000 or Iris Pro Graphics

Be sure and check ongoing patch notes for SteamOS and Mac beta updates going forward. Listed below are all known issues for both versions of the game as of September 8, 2016:

  • The correct store page for DLC purchased through the Showroom doesn’t show up for Big Picture users. This is a Steam client-specific issue that Valve will be fixing in an upcoming patch
  • There are occasional crashes when exiting from a match to the main menu
  • The statues in Urban Central do not display correctly
  • You may experience intermittent blurring issues
  • (Mac Only) Xbox 360 controllers won’t work. You will need a third-party driver solution to use them

The most fun I've had gaming in many many years. Concept: giant soccer with cars. Execution: stunning. I recommend using an xbox controller with your PC since the keyboard controls are a little wonky.

Rocket League is the type of game that makes you truly appreciate the precious hairy daddies you will get to cherish in your life. In Rocket League, you play as Han Sulu, Prince of the Outerstars of DorsneyLoind. The plot is slowly and methodically revealed as it is shown that your character typically goes to DorsneyLoind and frequents the water ride Splash Mountain. The real game begins with what is a seemingly normal trip to Dorsney Loind turns to hell as an animatronic of a fox reveals his evil intentions of marrying your father to solely torment you during the wedding day and to wear your worn-in clothing. The game mechanics focus around RTS, Side-Scrolling, and Pixel ♥♥♥♥ing. It has a great mesh of the playstyles and is welcoming to hardcore and casuals making it a jack of all trades game. However, the story does becoming lacking toward the end segments (especially when Hubert kills his hairy daddy for seemingly no reason). Oh, and the multiplayer is ♥♥♥♥. Too many hackers.

3/10 - Should've just bought the new DLC for Don't Die Dateless Dummy!

IF you've never played Rocket League, like many other good games you're probably going to be dog ♥♥♥♥ when you first start. You'll first join the tutorial and start touching the ball, yea it feels good we know. Then you decide you'll give online a go, REAllY see what this ♥♥♥♥♥ is about. You're first game online you get 2 clears and a center ball, pretty raunchy. You decide to tax yourself on another game and press rematch. You give a great pass to your team mate, wou lose 1-2. You continue to play online even though you have no idea what the ♥♥♥♥ you're doing but for some reason you can't stop playing it. Then you start to progress and get better and learn to manipulate the car and the ball in ways you've never seen, and fly(Did I mention you could ♥♥♥♥ing fly). You then start to forget about where you came from and whether or not you even liked the damn game to begin with. You slowly then being training every day before work or school, practicing aerials and dribbling in free play mode. The ball slowly becomes a part of you. You become the rank of "Pro" and you're feeling pretty damn hot right now ♥♥♥♥, even scalding. You slowly climb the ranks and descend into the madness that is rocket league. Then the itch starts. You'll be at work or out running errands thinking about how much better time could be spent playing rocket league. When you see a subaru on the road, it's not a subaru to you anymore it's now a Takumi. When you go to bed you dream of Rocket League. Now we go back to the original question of whether or not you would like this game? You'll ♥♥♥♥ing love it, too much. The developers, Psyonix, are incredibly good at listening to what the community wants. Each update they continue to push out more and more content and the game is growing everyday. So many funny options to decorate and customize your cars, from toppers to antennas. You can unlock items in game and craft rarer, more exclusive items from those. You dont have to good at rocket league to like it, you just have to be better at having fun. I have made so many memories off this $20 purchase. Like how the hell are they only charging $20 for this game its incredible. I Have put more time and heart into this game on PC and Xbox then any of the main AAA titles that I used to play, and I probably won't stop. Buy this game. Play this game. Love this game.

Papa Johns.

You think you don't like games with simple ideas and gameplay? Think again.
You think you are too good to drive toy cars and hit balls with them? Think again.
You think you are too much of an "Intellectual Gamer" to play this simple game? Think again.

You think you have friends? Think again.
You think you have time for your family? Think again.
You think you have time to study? Think again.

If your parents don't know or fully understand the concept of not being able to pause an online game, then I have some bad news for you.

Seriusly, can a game be flawless? F**k yeah it can! From the gameplay to the soundtrack, you will love every bit of this game. Rocket league is also one of the very few games to be an officially sponsored E-sport shortly after it's release.

Solid 10/10.
