About This Game

SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition includes the bestselling SimCity 4 and the all-new SimCity 4 Rush Hour Expansion Pack. Create the most massive region of cities ever, with a farming town, bedroom community, high-tech commercial center, and industrial backbone. Take complete control of your city's transportation system, and solve U-Drive-It missions — from fighting crime to tackling disasters. Watch your population skyrocket as you get your Sims on the go and create the ultimate living, breathing megalopolis — the most expansive SimCity 4 compilation ever.

Features

  • Create an Entire Region of Cities — Weave together a tapestry of cities linked by a fully integrated transportation network and watch them share and compete for resources.
  • Wield God-like Powers — Sculpt the landscape to create a world based on your imagination, then summon volcanoes, tornadoes, meteors, and lightning.
  • Be a Responsive Mayor — Build a world-class city with stadiums, airports, universities, and real-world landmarks. Deploy emergency vehicles and join in the action as they battle blazes, mobs, and more.
  • Get Insight from Your Sims — Read the rhythm of the city, from commuter hell to mellow cruising, noon-time crowds to night-time calm.

Includes SimCity™ 4 Rush Hour:

Have the ultimate level of control over your city's transportation network by completely taking charge of roads, rail, air, waterways, and even vehicles. U-Drive It! missions will be presented for you to solve, such as chasing down a bank robber or apprehending a car-jacker. Choose from all-new road types including wide-avenues, suspension bridges, or one-way streets, as well as map out seamless regional networks that whisk Sims from one city to another. Wreak havoc with all-new disasters including a UFO invasion, massive wrecks at railroad crossings, and the occasional car fender bender. There are also all-new tutorials available to help you get started.

System Compatibility

While the classic gameplay of SimCity 4 remains unchanged, unexpected performance and graphics issues with newer systems may occur. If you experience any performance or graphics issues, we recommend running in Windowed Mode and/or Compatibility Mode to maintain the intended experience.

I remember great things about Sim City, and having my map bug out and half the features be unusable are not a part of those memories. RIP Sim City

I've had this game on disk ever since 2004 and I still enjoy this game today. The modding community really has expanded upon what Maxis sent out originally and it has managed to retain the excitement this game has. Forget Sim City (2013), Sim City 4 is the one you want!

Time has passed but this game hasn't aged that much. It's a solid fun game, friendly to kids and adults as well, where you cause your own troubles in your city, and for this cutting-edge graphics aren't a priority. Even more than ten years later, the basics for city building games hasn't changed. What excites me most in SimCity 4 is doubtless the Rush Hour, where you can see the traffic in your city and makes you plan your design more carefully, combining different modes of transport and thinking about city population density. Give it a try.

Welcome to bankrupt simulator!
Where you need to tightly manage your funds while keeping your city functional and chaos free.
Basically a updated simcity 3, now with updated graphics, starting levels, more god powers, buyable objects. Now with drivable cars, planes, ships, trains and ships; all which can destroy buildings and your game.

8.5/10 - The LAST Simcity that was actually good. [Looking at you EA]

1. Got into the game and quickly learnt how to play, tutorial very good.

2.Build a huge city and then had to go off

3. Instead of saving the game, I sent a UFO to attack it, a earthquake, a volcano, fire, a transformer thing..

10/10 would destroy again

I have been playing SC4 since 2003, it has become a sort of "zen meditation" to me. It might scare people used to less "demanding" games since the latter simcity versions don't have such a deep management system, but once you get acquainted with that, it gets really funny and you can concentrate on creating wonderful cities, even by using plugins and mods. Possibilities are endless.
The only problem I have is that my old macbook gets really, really hot when I play.

Doesn't require a constant internet connection
Doesn't randomly wipe cities
Doesn't prevent you from using mods
Doesn't restrict control over regions
Doesn't confine you to a 10x10 city grid

It does however put a game that is 10 years newer to shame. If you want SimCity, look no further.

I played this game a lot when i was 12 or 13 or whatever which explains why i didn't have a girlfriend for a long time but I played it recently and it's still a hell of a lot of fun. I built a city with two motorways going out of the city but also a toll road and then a subway system and this gave me a hell of a lot of money and so i spent it on health and education and i felt really good about myself for 5 or 10 minutes. i still don't have a girlfriend though

If modded this game even though its ten years old, in my opinion its much better than the new version. I bought this one again after finding out how bad the new one was. You should mod this game for sure though, with larger regions, the NAM and CAM and whatever else you want on the great modding sites for this game.

Currently im playing on a very detailed sat. map of the US with over 500 of the largest city tiles in one single region. Just one of my city tiles from what i heard is four times bigger than a city tile on the new version and i have over 500 of them, all are connected to and interact with each other. Building the entire country with things so spread out leaves tons of open land adding to the realism that the region system in this game creates.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST CITY SIM IN THE WORLD AND THIS GAME IS OVER 10 YEARS OLD!!!!! C,MON EA??? WHAT HAPPENED?!?!

Here are some videos showing my current region :) Its much higher quality on youtube itself though
