It's some improvements!

Welcome to Some Improvement!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zbWLMvd_48
I said SOME! SOME!

General
- Quick Match now allows players to play up to 3/5 after the initial game finishes! Players can choose to exit after each game, but if you want that runback or feel the desire to defend your honor, mash dat Play Again button. (Thanks Liam and memes)

- If you're playing on a specific stage, instead of Random, choosing Play Again now continues the stage music instead of restarting it. You can finally hear the solo in NMO Arena! (Thanks Bang Camaro)
- When music continues between games, it only fades to 50% instead of silence. (Thanks POS Industries)

- The initial menu when launching the game with 2+ controllers/sticks plugged in has been improved: Player 1 no longer controls the main menu behind the controller-selection screen, and as long as someone has chosen to be Player 1, you are no longer required to ALSO choose a Player 2 before being allowed to proceed. (thanks a lot of people over multiple years)

(Title screen build ID 13984)

There's no rule that says I can't paste mostly the same patch notes from the Beta. NYAAAAH.

Who likes BUGFIXES for BUGFIXES?

YOU?!
...oh, we've been through this. Fine.

General
- Fixed airthrows not properly putting you in Stage 2 as a result of the previous fix for mcpeanuts' IPS bug. Everything is back to normal now, with mcpeanuts' fix still there. How do you like that, mcpeanuts? Now your name is famous! Namous?

It's done. I fixed it. Go home. Play some games, maybe have some tea, or an amazing cookie. And no, that's not sponsored, they're just amazing.

A gorgeous hand-drawn, fluid fighting game that I will never stop sucking at nor loving to pieces. Further stylized with characters based off of the golden age of entertainment, from the likes of B-horror to Looney Toons to Wrestling, the fun never ends.

Controller-use preferable.

I love 2D fighting games with a good story, and if you do too, this should be right up your alley.
I do think the stories of Blazblue and Guilty Gear are better than this, but the cons with both still put Skullgirls high up on the playing field with my two previous fighting game loves.

I adore Skullgirls, succinctly; if you like fun 2D fighters, you likely will too.

Skullgirls is by far my favourite fighting game to date. It's incredibly easy to pick up, the DLC introduces characters who are actually different to the main cast enough to warrant their own character slots, When you master a character it's as smooth as butter to play and most importantly the style and music in this game gives it a completely different feel from most fighting games where it's just a tournament you're in. with metal music and a bunch of massive buff dudes. This game is the exact opposite with great jazzy tunes, an almost entire female cast (with the only males being DLC) and an original story, especially for a fighting game. 10/10 would throw my head again.

the art style is unique. Menu keyboard controls are a bit unconfortable for me so i recommend to play this with a controller. The price on sale is absolutely worth this game. not much else to say i recommend this.

Very, very shortly:
I'll be honest here, I bought the game because it has boobs and fighting mechanics.

But it turned out that Boobs alone aren't enough for me to like the game, because the game lacked quantiy so badly that I was through with it in one hour or two. Plus I didn't really like the fighting mechanics, but that's just me.

Pros:
+ Cool looking special moves, if you know how to do them that is
+ High skill cap
+ Honestly, who doesn't like boobs & booty? ;)

Cons:
- Fighting mechanics, but that's just for me
- Poor story mode
- There's not much content
- Too flashy special moves sometimes, makes it hard to see what's happening on the screen

Do I recommend:
Even though I really liked the art style in this game, the outer appearance means nothing if the game lacks content. Buy it only if you're really into fighting games.

Verdict: 4.5 / 10 - Slightly below average game
(1 = do-not-bother game
5 = average game
10 = must own game)

Turns out you can fight people in it, too.

This is the game that got me into fighting games. It has an amazing tutorial explaining the mechanics of the game and fighting games in general, there is a very well made Infinite prevention system combined with a system to prevent Touch of Death combos. The inputs are very forgiving, to the point where I can do the 360 motion on a keyboard. Plus, all the characters feel unique, including Fukua (A joke character made as a half April Fool's joke half shot at Capcom's Decapre reveal who the players liked so much she was made a permanent addition to the cast). Going beyond the mechanics, the game is amazing to look at, with every frame of animation in the game being hand-drawn, and there are a TON of frames in this game. The only downside is the online, but not because of the netcode (The netcode is pretty damn good, you only really have problems if your ping is 200+). I am going to be blunt, this is the kind of game you only play quick match on if you REALLY know what you are doing. Still, for $10(Originally $15) to start off and another $10 for all the DLC characters (Who were free for the first 3 months after their release, so Lab Zero was still taking a pretty big hit to their wallets after releasing them, all things considered), there are far worse titles on this platform you could buy and play with your friends.

Skullgirls is a pretty fun game. The characters are pretty interesting, and there's at least one for every playstyle. If you like grappling, you can play as Cerebella (or Beowulf, if you have him), if you like being quick/mobile, you have Valentine and Ms. Fortune. Or maybe you like whatever you'd describe Double's playstyle as. Point is, it's very easy to find a main. This game also has the option to play as a team of 2 or 3, with each member having any normal or special move to use as an assist attack, allowing for the player the get creative with combos. But this also means the game has a very high skill ceiling, as evidenced by the tournament scene. Or by playing a ranked match (which is always a great idea). So this game requires a lot of practice if you want to go to a tournament like Combo Breaker. Despite that, I have a lot of fun with this game, I kind of regret having to get this as a gift.

Skullgirls is a fantastic fighting game, with an intricate input list and an overpowering amount of combos that would make "Super Smash Bros." jealous.

For the people who use the keyboard, I commend you. For others (Like myself) take advantage of the partial controller support. Your gonna need it.

This game is one of the best if not the best fighting game since a few years.
Its fighting system succeed at being both simple, accessible, and quite deep for the seasoned fighter. Both your spammy little sister and your kof fanatic friend will find what they need to have fun.

Speaking of new player, this game also feature an extensive tutorial and training mode, it will teach anyone how to go from just spamming punch to actually combo in a smart way.

The art style is definitly a strong point of this game, it is beautiful, the animation are both detailled and fluid, the stage are full of life, every character and even background filler npc have is own personality. trully a work of art.

This game is not without default, the story mode is quite monotonous, and finish with one of those unfair and unfun boss. (Honestly, Jinpachi was more fun than Marie). The scenario itself coud definitly be a good story, specially since it know when to joke, and when to be dramatic. But, for most character it is quite empty.
