So, at this point you've looked into playing Deponia
, Chaos on Deponia
, and now you've decided to treat yourself to getting Goodbye Depoinia
. Perhaps it was a steam sale, perhaps it was something about the game that caught your eye, or maybe your just a big fan of Point and Click Adventures - either way welcome to the third installment and last of the Deponia series.
Play the game to enjoy the story of Rufus, the lowest scum of the planet who works to put himself above the rest, falls in love, and works to improve the quality of life (seemingly for himself and a human from beyond the stars). Unfortunately, while the story works and has some interesting twists along the way... I can't say I am a fan of some of the major choices in this game.
Not a spoiler: In game 2 of the series you have to make Tuna out of Baby Dolphins. If you were not bothered by that puzzle, fine for you. What the THIRD game does is worse. Not only do you have to feed children to a monster, and break up an inter-racial couple, but then you have to sell the black woman into slavery. I wish this wasn't a joke. It seems like the ONLY black woman in the series, is used in a cruel manner by the main protagonist. I wish there were alternative solutions to these puzzles. Guilt driven enough to killing orphans and ruining lives of others, is probably why I will not return to playing this game for nostalgia, and warn you now about it before buying it.
