EXTRA CONTENT

BACKGROUND STORY

The Harmony had been moving since the birth of the universe, passing through the galaxies, seeking The Core. Their migration was deliberate, calm, inevitable.

Dust was their downfall. In the galaxy of the Endless they were ensnared; this strange technological creation that affected particles, fields and waves broke the single movement of the Harmony into a cacophony of gravity-enchained individuals. The Harmony sees Dust as a menace or a plague, and has set out to rid the universe of its effects.

For the rest of the galaxy, this cleansing is a minor apocalypse. The Harmony, creatures of mineral, see no difference between "inhabited" and "uninhabited" planets -- they are simply "infected" or "clean." And those that are infected will be dealt with ruthlessly…

The Era of Disharmony has begun!

The visuals in this game are amazing. The planets are gorgeous, and the space battles colorful. The ship designer is cool, but is unlike the Gal Civ 2 ship designer. In Gal Civ 2 and other games, you can design the hull. In Endless Space, the hull (and therfore, the look) is constant. You can only modify what the ship carries (weapons, defenses, support modules, etc.). I really enjoy the heros, system strategy, macro strategy, and the game creation options. All in all, this is a very solid 4X game.

I love 4x games starting with MOO (Master of Orion) This game does a great job in many ways except fatal crashes about 30% of the time after 100+ turns into a match. The developer is aware of this seemingly common problem from reading the forum posts, but admits that all resources have been moved to developing their new games Enless Legends and Endless Dungeons. I finaly removed it from my machine untill a patch is released.

Game ver 1.1.4 , Windows 7, Digital Storm game pc.

Disharmony is an excellent expansion pack to a fantastic game that adds a lot of things that were missing from the base game, the one problem I have with Disharmony is the Harmony themselves, they aren't properly balanced with the other races and tend to be drastically weaker than everyone else.

Somehow they took endless space and made it better. With the inclusion of fighters, increased combat depth, as well as some slight changes in game mechanics, no longer will you feel like combat is just a matter of auto resolving. If you liked the core game at all, you gota get this expansion!

6/10

Very basic (visually and campaign wise). Also I can't stand the diplomacy screen, looks nice but not practical.

The campaing map could be so much more interesting, alas it's very basic.

It does have the 'one more turn factor', but i don't get the 'I can't wait to play it again, I'm gona do this and try that..etc' feeling.

Underwhelming and nothing special, but has potential to be great.
