Think of Puzzle Quest Galactric as an expanded version of the first PuzzleQuest. It has the same mechanics (match gems to kill opponents and gather stuff), with some good new additions but it's set in space. A fun new twist on the genre you could say. But, unfortunately the quests are repetitive. This is terrible considering it's a pretty long game, especially for a puzzle game. So instead of playing Galactrix, play Puzzle Quest 2, the best Puzzle Quest game so far. Believe me, you won't be disappointed. Unless you hate puzzle games, of course... ;)
