Update 1.2 arrives with turkeys in tow!

What's that you say? You feel like it's been a few weeks since the last time you got some new stuff from us? Aw shucks, you're right! I guess that means it's time for another map face lift, a new weapon, structures, weapon maximization and more!

For update 1.2 we wanted to make sure that you guys really felt the additional options and functionality. Although 1.1 had a ton of cool stuff (and represents a whole lot of work by us!) there was less in the way of new stuff to play with. This time around we worked even harder to ensure that we could deliver on the sort of new features you guys have been asking for, turning around a new weapon in record time.

We've also included another little bit of holiday cheer: Turkey creeps! These guys will be gabbling and gobbling their way around all Titan mode maps starting today and going through the end of Thanksgiving weekend in the US. We hope you enjoy these little flavor updates because they sure do amuse the Minimum development crew!

Last but not least, starting on Wednesday all players will receive double experience points lasting all the way through the end of Thanksgiving weekend. Along with the new content, this is our way of saying how thankful we are for everyone who plays and has played Minimum over the last 6 months. You guys are the reason we keep doing it!

About This Game

Are you a fan of old-school twitch shooters like Unreal Tournament and Tribes? What about team focused MOBAs like DotA and League of Legends? Would you like to play a game that combines elements of both genres while adding crafting, customization, giant robots and a bold new art style to the mix?

Of course you would, and Minimum is just the game you've been searching for!

Minimum focuses on fast-paced shooting fun and a robust system of in-match crafting, team objectives and customizable roles to create a rich and rewarding PvP experience. You'll find a bunch of interesting weapons to collect and customize, armor sets to mix and match, a solid core game mode known at TITAN MODE and more all wrapped up in a unique, minimalist artistic style that's more than the sum of its parts. Some of our coolest features include:

Customizable Weapons

Craft dozens of lethal weapons with unique abilities and roles to best fit your personal playstyles. Each weapon has 5 power levels that are activate during kill streaks, increasing your power making you a force to be feared. Be careful though: weapon power levels are lost upon death, so with great power comes great risk!

Blueprint Crafting System

Gather materials from fallen foes and defeated objectives to craft and upgrade armor sets over the course of a match. Each set of armor has different benefits and weaknesses that can emphasize your favorite playstyle or counter what your enemies are trying to do.

Titan Mode

Battle in epic matches centered on the your team's Titan, a giant, destructive robot that confronts the enemy's Titan. Players can power up their Titan by performing tasks in-game, can defend their mammoth ally by killing enemy players, and can attack enemy Titans directly. The teams compete until one side's Titan reaches the enemy base and destroys it!

5v5 Competitive Gameplay

Create cunning strategies with your teammates and define your unique role on the team by combining different weapons, armor and devices. Support your teammates weapons that increase drop rates for materials and powerups, defend your Titan with armor that grants additional health and survivability, scout enemy positions with weapon and armor that increase speed and allow for double or triple jumps, or simply go glass cannon and dish out as much damage as you can!

A Player-Focused Development Team

We want Minimum to be the most player-focused game on Steam! Join us on our Steam community discussion forums to talk shop, weigh in on new features, report bugs and balance problems or just chat. Minimum is a game that will evolve with its community, both while in Early Access and beyond.

Pros:
-unique blend of genres (team-oriented TPS with MOBA elements)
-intense,fast paced gameplay,old-school feel (not as fast as Quake but its definitely not a campers game)
-dedicated dev team
-not P2W (ingame shop sells ONLY SKINS)
-balanced weapons, wide selection to suite any style(all types of rifles, launchers, lasers, melee)
-melee weapons that are actualy usefull and realy fun to use (altho swords suffered a nerf because noobs cried and cried about it)
-class/role customization when choosing armors with stats (you can be slow and tanky or a fast DPSer with low HP,supporter/healer/debuffer or anything in between)
-you can jump into action right from the start even if you dont have anything unlocked as long as you have basic shooting/movement skills needed for a shooter game. And some teamplay+map awareness)
-good maps (disregard comments about little content,i mean Counter Strike was played basicly on 4 maps for 20+ years and it never felt like it needed more content. If anything, this game only needs more players)

Cons:
-For me,just one:relatively high hardware req. - I am forced to play @1024x768 with graphic set to minimum, on i5,nv550 1gbVRAM with 6gb of system ram, devs recommend at least nv780.That being said,my gameplay experience comes down to spending 50% of my energy trying to compensate for issues like rubberbanding and hits not registering, and thats why i dont play this more than a couple of times a day.It seemed that a game that has cubes with no textures as models should run on a rig thats way weaker than mine, and thats why I purchased it, but thats not the case. It's dx11 only with fancy shadows and it kills the performance for me.I would be perfectly happy if the devs worked on optimization only, convert it to dx9 maybe(that one hardly tho) and made it available to broader, lo-fi audience.

Original design, unique gameplay, something fresh and different among all generic, shallow titles or money grabs/scams on Steam.I like to play it despite above mentioned relatively high hardware requirements.

Also, devs have promissed LAN support to be implemented soon,

Moje česká recenze: http://www.playhit.cz/2014/09/minimum-jednoduchosti-je-krasa/

This indie really cought my attention. It's so simple and yet so much fun to play. I occasionally enjoy simple things, nice change from AAA titles, where they spend months on detailing the human eye to perfection. My favourite is the titan mode, although they both die kinda fast, needs more creepers! I say 7.5/10 is a fair amount.

Easy to understand mechanics, charming, crisp graphics, and creative weapon design. I love the concept and the execution and wish the Devs all the luck in the world as they continue to release patchs.

The playerbase is small, but hopefully the current sale will bring in some new players.

Have you ever played any kind of MOBA before? Have you enjoyed everymoment of each one? Wanna play a completely new styled one? Well, Miminum is the game for you! Minimum comes with a completely new approach of attack defence games. The titan and creep system is all epic, the customization and upgrades are also awesome. The game is not pay2win, for the only things you need to pay for is the game, and some weapon skins that give you no advantage at all! Or buy some cosmetic skins for real money that do give you an advantage, but they can also be easily crafted for free aswell!
There are more modes then Titan mode aswell, there is this cool survival mode that you have to survive against many different kind of enemies in each survival map you choose. For example, choose a chinese or japenese temple, you get Samurais and Ninjas, pick a space station map, you get space people. I found the survival mode lots of fun! But there third mode is fun too, its a simple Team Deathmatch. There isnt much I need to explain there, except that its tons of fun!
Try this game out, its very cheap for the price they charge for a game like this. I promise you, you wont regret it!

Addictive as hell, gameplay mechanics are goood and the game has a high skill cap, rewarding both skill and planning. My only problem with the game is the poor optimization, don't expect to get a smooth experience yet without a mid-to-high-end PC, but I trust better optimization will come in time, since developers put out patches within reasonable time frames.
The game also has a wide variety of weapons and armors to choose from, the balance is fine but people seem to love QQing about swords for some reason.
I'd give it a 7/10 in its current state, wich will grow to a 9/10 if they improve optimization and finish implementing all the missing content.

Alot of fun. Mechanics are a great idea. Just a little small on content at the moment. But fr $10 you can't go wrong for a fun competitive multiplayer game.

It was pretty fun at first. Though the swords are annoying, it was worth the 50% off.

Fixed alot of the problems the games had before! Now I would whole heartedly recommend it. Nice weapon variety,(in my opinion it still needs more) good combat, interesting crafting system, it is a little tedious though. But im sure they'll make it better considering they have fixed so many of the games problems. Overall a great game. The game has only gone upwards so far.
