New Server Tools are Live!

Greetings Minimum Players!

We are excited to announce that after some great feedback during beta, a new build is up on the main branch, and Minimum is back up in the store (with a "welcome back" sale price!). If you didn't get a chance to check out the beta, here are some highlights:

  1. Player Hosted Servers: All servers are now hosted by other Minimum
players. This should add some flexibility, and give players more options on how to play.

  2. All New Server Browser: A new visual interface allows players to see what servers are available, who’s on them, and what rules are in play.

  3. Updated Server Launcher: Quickly access key server options from a visually intuitive launcher. The Launcher.exe gives you the tools to host a server, along with options like max players, target score, time limit, and more, and should make it easier for server hosts to create more customized game types.

  4. New Admin Interface: Server have access to a new visual interface that allows them to access key admin options, participate in chat, manage the map cycle and more. (By pressing the left ALT button or typing in "ToggleAdmin " in the console.
We're continuing to work on the game, and we expect regular updates in the coming weeks and months. Please keep the great feedback coming, we couldn't do it without the amazing Minimum community!

New Build, New Browsers!

Greetings Minimum Users!

After a few weeks of beta, we’ve taken some great feedback from the community and made some significant updates to the game. Our big focus has been on visualization and transparency for the new server system (Please note, this is still on the BETA BRANCH). Among other fixes:

  1. All New Server Browser! A new visual interface allows players to see what servers are available, who’s on them, and what rules are in play (standard “automatch” is still available).

  2. Updated Server Launcher interface Quickly access key server parameters from a visually intuitive launcher. The Launcher.exe will include options like max players, target score, time limit, and more, and should make it easier for server hosts to create more customized game types.

  3. New Server Admin Interface Server have access to a new visual interface that allows them to access key admin options, participate in chat, manage the map cycle and more. (By pressing the left ALT button or typing in ToggleAdmin in the console.
We are aware of the concerns some players have expressed regarding the inventory reset. Unfortunately, the majority of this data was tied in with the server system that was shut down by the third party partner, and is no longer available. We are able to view some of this via Steam, and are investigating, but we don't have a fix for this at present. It is a top priority and we will keep players posted.

Again, we want to thank all of our core players for supporting the ongoing growth of Minimum. Let us know what you think of the new build, and thanks again!

About This Game

Are you a fan of old-school twitch shooters like Unreal Tournament and Tribes? What about team focused MOBAs like DotA and League of Legends? Would you like to play a game that combines elements of both genres while adding crafting, customization, giant robots and a bold new art style to the mix?

Of course you would, and Minimum is just the game you've been searching for!

Minimum focuses on fast-paced shooting fun and a robust system of in-match crafting, team objectives and customizable roles to create a rich and rewarding PvP experience. You'll find a bunch of interesting weapons to collect and customize, armor sets to mix and match, a solid core game mode known at TITAN MODE and more all wrapped up in a unique, minimalist artistic style that's more than the sum of its parts. Some of our coolest features include:

Customizable Weapons

Craft dozens of lethal weapons with unique abilities and roles to best fit your personal playstyles. Each weapon has 5 power levels that are activate during kill streaks, increasing your power making you a force to be feared. Be careful though: weapon power levels are lost upon death, so with great power comes great risk!

Blueprint Crafting System

Gather materials from fallen foes and defeated objectives to craft and upgrade armor sets over the course of a match. Each set of armor has different benefits and weaknesses that can emphasize your favorite playstyle or counter what your enemies are trying to do.

Titan Mode

Battle in epic matches centered on the your team's Titan, a giant, destructive robot that confronts the enemy's Titan. Players can power up their Titan by performing tasks in-game, can defend their mammoth ally by killing enemy players, and can attack enemy Titans directly. The teams compete until one side's Titan reaches the enemy base and destroys it!

5v5 Competitive Gameplay

Create cunning strategies with your teammates and define your unique role on the team by combining different weapons, armor and devices. Support your teammates weapons that increase drop rates for materials and powerups, defend your Titan with armor that grants additional health and survivability, scout enemy positions with weapon and armor that increase speed and allow for double or triple jumps, or simply go glass cannon and dish out as much damage as you can!

A Player-Focused Development Team

We want Minimum to be the most player-focused game on Steam! Join us on our Steam community discussion forums to talk shop, weigh in on new features, report bugs and balance problems or just chat. Minimum is a game that will evolve with its community, both while in Early Access and beyond.

please this game is great just too many crashes. Every. ♥♥♥♥ing. Time. You could be at 18/2, leading your team, then your game decides to crash. You lose your score, your weapon stacks, your armor. Granted you don't lose all your material, but its still very frustrating, as your score and KDA is not saved when you crash. Please please please fix this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t.

Servers was offline for half year. Now devs wiped whole steam inventory, associated with this game (while some weps had price of skins for valve competetive games). Avoid this ♥♥♥♥ - ever if game WAS great, devs turned into robbing ♥♥♥♥tards

Overall...Minimum has to one of the games I've played that shows so much potential. Although, ever since it was released, the developers, in my perspective, struggle strongly on performance for others who do not meet all the requirements than is what originally stated on Minimum's Steam page. I strongly recommend the developers to focus on overall framerate, and performance to allow as many users as humanly possible. So, I can finally see the overall reviews go from Mixed, to Mostly Positive.

I see Minimum still as an Early Access game that needs tons of work and developers that can read the disliked reviews and create a solution. I hate to see the users pay for a game that can't run properly and stays offline for who ever knows how long. I don't recommend this game to anyone that has a home desktop or any PC unless that PC or desktop is made specially for gaming. I'm curious to see how many users find this review helpful or not.

Let me tell you a story about Minimum. It was a new game to pop up on Steam. I bought it with a friend and we played it for a few hours. It was a really fun game. Then when I went back to it after some time, I saw that the servers were all shut down "temporarily" They were actually shut down for so long that the entire player base for this game was all but wiped out. It's a shame because it was a fun game. Don't touch this game.

Back before the 6-month server outage, I'd readily reccomend this game. It was pretty cheap, servers were inhabited, and the game was generally fun. Now, however, I'm really sad to say that this game has been let go. Not by the devs, but by the community.

PROS:
-Fun gameplay
-Nice graphics

CONS:
-Hardly any servers. Seriously, there's only 3, only one of which has the Titan mode maps (the main gamemode) enabled.
-Hardly any players. The servers are often filled with bots.
-Bad autobalance coding. Placing 1 player with 5 bots vs 3 players with 2 bots is not balanced.

There aren't that many good points to make about the game anymore. Sure, it's fun and all, but only if you can find the time of day when people are online. Meaning that, basically all day, you're just playing with and against AI that has a 50/50 chance to pathfind into a wall. If the community ever bounces back from this, I'd love to change my review to a positive one. But I can't do that right now. If you've got the time and $10 USD to spare, go ahead and try if you'd like. However, you're likely to get more entertainment value by shredding the currency than by playing this game in the current state it's in.

This game was pretty fun, and action-packed for a while, but I quickly moved on, because it was boring (Maybe just me, obviously this isn't my type of game.) I enjoy the art style, though, it's interesting and fresh. I'll even say that yes, I was pretty terrible at the game, but I enjoyed myself. Countless server issues now, and not the best community.

This game is terrible do not buy.
Gameplay is ok, but has so many technical/server issues and you got like a handfull of people who still play.
I was really hoping this game would be fun but nothing works right.

Really, really fun game. I enjoyed it so much that I played it over 2,5h streight at first try. Only Negative is that there isnt really any servers BUT u can host your own and when I hosted a server for that session players joined very fast. U can find the server tool at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Minimum\Binaries\MinimumLauncher" remember to open ports 8015 and 27015 (maybe also 7777 im not sure).

Gameplay:
Basically its 3rd person shooter whit little twist in it. When u kill enemies the drop "fragments" which u use to upgrade your armor. U also need to find some "crystal sharps" to upgrade your armor and those can be found some places of the map. U can upgrade your helmet, chestplate and leg armor max lvl for each of those is 3. U also can upgrade your weapon to lvl 5 by collectin "power ups" and u get those by killing enemies. When u die your gun lvl restarts but armor lvl will stay for the whole match. Everyone knows what team deathmatch is like so ill skip that. In Titan game mode there is 2 teams and both of them have 1 Titan. U basically need to get your Titan to enemy bace and let it destroy their core. On the way are walls and turrets. Also u need to destroy enemy Titan for your Titan to be able to reach enemy bace where the core is located. When Titans die Creeps will start spawning. Creeps will drop "Titan crystals" when killed. By collecting "Titan crystals" you titan will gain more hp. When timer is up both Titans will respawn and the more u collected "Titan crystals" the more your Titan will have hp.

I havent played Horde gamemode yet so I cant say anything about it.

Minimum Wiki had article about Ranked game mode but I dont know how to find match it or if its available anymore.

Pros:
Many different weapons
Many different armors
Good maps
Good gamemodes (atleast titan and team deathmatch I havent tried that horde game mode yet)
Easy to host server (u need to open 2 or 3 porst: 8105, 27015 and maybe 7777)
People join fast to your server if u decide to host one
Nice graphics (very personal opinion)

Cons:
Badly optimized
Not many servers online
Could have more players

I havent made this long review before and I tryed my best. Let me know how good/bad my review was. I also apologize my bad english.

Certainly not Unreal Tournament, like described in the description, but overall a good little casual game to play when you are bored. I really respect the devs for fixing up the net-code, even though the population is very low. Most developers would just abandon the game and walk away.
