About This Game

TERA is a Fantasy Action MMORPG with stunning visuals and a slew of innovative features that allow players to fully control their characters in the game’s free targeting combat system. Player actions in TERA can change the balance of power in a world threatened by dark powers as seven allied races work together to protect their world.

Change your character’s history by selecting one of seven races and change the way you play by choosing a class that best suits your individual battle temperament. Whether you were born to be in the thick of battle dealing damage and drawing the enemy’s attention, or standing in the back lines supporting your allies there’s a class for you in TERA.

TERA will take you on a journey through the most vivid and fantastical world yet seen in a videogame: over lofty mountain peaks, through toxic swamps bristling with foul monsters, across seemingly never-ending woodland plains and underground, to the heart of the evil threatening this world.

Keep a steady hand and know your arsenal, combat in TERA requires a quick finger and nuance on the battlefield. TERA offers dynamic gameplay, giving you total control of your character where you’ll have to actively aim, dodge and block to emerge from battle victorious.

Choosing a region, players can make a move to take over the mantle of a Vanarch, the ruler of a province. Sitting on the throne, players will be able to drop or raise taxes, spawn and reposition special NPCs to their advantage, as well as having access to a range of special items that signal the arrival of power.

Traversing the world of TERA, players will encounter many goliath creatures that are as dangerous as they are awe inspiring. These BAMs reside in the deepest dungeons and the open plains of TERA’s varied environments, so be sure to always be on your guard.

When Tera goes Free to Play in February, Players that acquired TERA by purchase will be ranked as veterans and will enjoy free and complete access to all game functions – no matter whether they have a subscription at the time of the switch or not. This will mean more comfort over the free users, for example, with 8 character slots, the complete amount of safe deposits or even a special in-game title, that will help them to stand out as a veteran in the world of Arborea.

With unique combat system, that, with very low targetting, it's rather tempting. It's not like WoW or RIFT - where you have to click or tab on a player and cast spells, or skills, or whatever spells/skills are called in each game. Instead, you're just spamming your skills as you quest or kill some players.

The graphics are awesome too. Which even doubles the "want to play"

One small downside, is the FPS drops. You won't notice it while you're questing, but while doing some max-level stuff, you'll notice the FPS drops quite alot. But heck, it's a good game afterall!

This is the kind of game that people promise to play with you, tempting you into buying it before it goes F2P for extra benefits only to have all of those friends who promised to play with you play something else or pretend to be afk when you ask if you can join them meaning you need to play it with random people who are most likely a Russian using the archer class and doing a terrible job at everything because they cannot grasp the concept of freedom and democracy.

It's going to be F2P next week, so there is actually no reason not to play it. It is, after all, the MMORPG with the best Combatsystem (and the most beautiful as well... especially the Castanics. If you know what I mean. ;) ).
It's more like a Hack n Slash with one of the Melee Classes. lol.

I can only recommend checking it out if you are into MMORPGs.
