About This Game

Sanctum 2 is the sequel to the world’s first Tower Defense/FPS hybrid game. Pick from four unique character classes and embark on a mission to protect the oxygen-producing Cores from hordes of deadly aliens who are threatened by their existence. Outfit your character exactly the way you want through the new and extensive customization system. Choose your own loadout of towers, weapons and perks, but choose wisely because you are humanity’s last defense against the unrelenting hordes set out to destroy it.

Sanctum 2 is a new game completely rebuilt from the ground up using community feedback and innovative design to really push the bar of what an independent studio can do.

Intense Action – Deep Strategy

In Sanctum 2, you will utilize elements from multiple gameplay genres to succeed. Construct towers and walls during the building phase before the enemies attack, then jump into the fray and blast everything to pieces in FPS mode. You can progress through the single-player campaign yourself, or play with up to four friends in co-op to discover the secrets of the planet LOEK III and learn the backstory on why the aliens are so intent on destroying the Cores you are sworn to protect.

Key Features

Building on the success of the original game, Sanctum 2 stands alone as the only true FPS/Tower Defense hybrid. No other title delivers gameplay that seamlessly combines both genres.

  • Tower Defense – Design complex mazes and build powerful towers to stop the enemies from destroying the Cores.
  • First-Person Shooter – Don’t just sit back and watch, jump into the action yourself!
  • Four playable character classes – Each with their own unique strengths, weaknesses and weapons.
  • Vast Customization System – Pick perks or make the game crazy hard by adding Feats of Strength.
  • In-game Visual Novel – Unlock a comic-book page for every map you beat to discover the secrets of LOEK III.
  • Progression System – Increase your rank and unlock new weapons, towers and perks.
  • 4-Player Co-op – Progress through the storyline yourself or team up with other players whenever you want.

Overall a good FPS with some TD elements (or is it the opposite ?), can be really nice to play with friends, but really painful and boring alone. If you buy it, be sure to bring some friends with you, as the servers are kinda empty.

So Sanctum 2 this a very very good game but the people are forgetting about it more and more there are not too many servers/players playing lately which is a bad thing because this game is mostly playable with friends. But regardless this a ver good game it has great map designs, characters, weapons and much more special powers just make your first build and go on a rampage of killing a thousand monsters with your friends or if you are a person like me just join someones game and have fun :D
Pros:
> Great graphics
> Entertaining gameplay
> Super easy controls
> There are Giant monsters (bosses)
Cons:
> People are loosing interest in it :/

I don't normally like FPS, but this game is some good ♥♥♥♥. Though it helps that there's a character who uses a rocket/grenade launcher, so I don't really have to aim.

anyway, more engaging than a typical tower defense, the unlockable perks are great, and the characters/story isn't bad either. Music is also good.

Less imporant, but still neat: It also gives you a useful assortment of stats to help refine strategies. You get to see exactly how much damage a tower did last wave, the exact rate of fire, etc. Also at the end of each game you get to see how much damage each player did vs how much damage towers did and such

Good tactical tower defense. A bit of FPS-RPG in the mix as well.

The base game is an interesting combination of tower defense and first person shooter and it gets even more interesting in multiplayer when you can have four players jumping around with a combination of sixteen different towers shooting everywhere. With the combination of weapons and perks you can choose how you want to fight, a sniper, an area damager, a distraction, and so you can tailor your towers to fit. The DLCs for the game all together basically double the base game in most respects and are tottaly worth it if you enjoyed the game.

There is like 1 billion different Tower Defense games out there.
Most use the conventional 2D top view to keep it simple.

But there are some jewels that don't follow these old views.. jewels like Dungeon Defenders, Orcs Must Die and Sanctum!
Sanctum 2 is definetly not an easy TD game but for sure a fun and challenging one!

Playing this game in coop mode gets you the most out of it and it's also the most fun way to play the game in my opinion.

If you like Tower Defense games, then Sanctum 2 is a MUST buy!

Action? Check
Reaction? Check
Intensity? Check
Cool aliens to shoot and not feel bad about it? Check
Not having to clean up the dead bodies after a good workout? Check
Maze building (and I don't mean having 2-3 options, I mean the whole nine yard of options)? Check
LOADS of diversified weapons, perks and towers? Check

Sadly this game lacks in terms of the sizy of its community, and that's about the only bad thing I can come up about this game.

You like fast-paced FPS Shooters? You like Tower Defense? You like to be faced with increasingly difficult odds and to put your name on some relevant leaderboards (until they reset them, of course)? Then this game's for you.

I'm doing my part eradicating these filthy alien scums... are you?
