- Coop and PvP Matchmaking - quickly get matched against others
- Custom games and rules - when you want total control
- Player driven economy - didn't need that drop? Sell it to other players!
- Quests with ingame rewards - like Achievements, but better
- Leveling, progression, unlocks - level yourself, your AirMechs, expand your army
- NOT "pay2win" at all - check our reviews or ask players ingame
- Global chat, Factions, parties - integrated directly into the core UI
- Crafting system - added due to player demands
- VIP/Premium for LIFE with any purchase - because we're cool like that

Update #212 - Inventory overhaul and Generator rework

We have some nice improvements to the Inventory UI that should make it a lot easier to sort and find things. A more traditional drop-down list for categories has been added, and rarity filters can be applied at any time along with a new Duplicates selector that only affects the current set you are looking at. Great for figuring out what you can sell or scrap!

Speaking of Scrap, there is a new Basecamp structure available--the Scrapyard! Now you can simply drag things out of your inventory and into the giant whirling machine to tear things into little bits. Be careful though, once you press that "Scrap" button it will shred it super fast! There is no undo, so no messing around with this heavy machinery. You'll also get a nice preview of how much Scrap something will generate.

What about Generators? This change has been a long time coming, on the list of "things to do before we exit beta". It started to feel like Generators became a "must have" unit, which can be frustrating when you just have 8 slots. The solution to this we feel is to actually decrease or remove the Generator's ability to increase upkeep, and instead increase upkeep overall. So instead of giving you more upkeep, they will do what you expect them to do since they look like power generators--they will increase the Energy capacity of structures you have them attached to (via the Sockets). We might have some balance work to do, but we think this will be a good chance allowing everyone to build more units and not absolutely need to take Generators to do it.

For those playing around with the alpha version of the map editor (for Prime owners) Dan has continued to make improvements and add features. Find more details in the notes below. We're probably a patch away from being able to reliably play your maps online with others! We're still deciding how all that will work, and what will be available for free players compared to VIP and Prime. Maybe free players can join rooms created by others, but can't select custom maps on their own? Leave us suggestions in the forums!

Steam Exclusive Offer

Two Portal themed items are now available to all Steam players:

Companion Cube - Found in the ruins of a long abandoned facility, there's something about this utilitarian cube that compels you to keep it at your side. It follows your AirMech in battle acting as a faithful companion Pet until the end! Can be equipped in a Flair slot on any AirMech.

Sentry Turret - Blueprints for this turret were found in a large underground facility in use before the War. They seem to have been designed for use against humans, so this version is equipped with armor piercing rounds to make it more viable against the robot armies used in battle today. They are light and cheap, only effective against weaker units, but you can build a lot quickly to make them useful.

This is the best F2P game I have ever played. I'd recommend going Silver VIP through one of the many ways you can so you have access to the Market.

Anyone remember Herzog Zwei? Or am I just old? Well that game is this x1,000. Just download AirMech and play already!

In short, you pilot a giant robot that can fly or walk, and command units around a battlefield RTS-style. You capture bases in games against humans (PvP) or bots (PvE) in a variety of battlefields. In these matches you can use one of a number of mechs, either earnable through playing to earn spendable 'kudos' or purchasable through packs. The game is still in beta, and only getting better. More maps, more mechs, more units, special holiday-themed units, event-themed get the idea.

Just play it already! It's free, it's fast, it's fun, and it's ADDICTIVE!!!

I don't really know why I never made a review for this game until now. AirMech is a great game, it combines gameplay of a MOBA and a RTS. You play as one of many mechs with different purposes like support, assault, and harassment. As the game goes on you will need to build an army of units to try to destroy the other teams fortress. The game offers multiple ways to play the game such as the usual rusher, turtle, and guerilla tactics. There is also co-op and survival mode if you don't want to play competitively. Even though it is completely not pay to win, it does take a little time to unlock things that could be instantly unlocked with 30 USD. The community is also really great as it contains a wide variety of people that are helpful but also contains the trolls, but they are quite entertaining. You can commonly see the developers active in either the forums or in chat which are always eager to hear what you have to say. (if they are not busy)

Sorry for my English. Again. I am not from English-speaking country.

This game is good, it has low system requirements, interesting gameplay and it sounds wierd ('cause MOBA became from RTS), but it is something like MOBA+RTS+Shooter (not an FPS, but the shooter). It has all the best things from all the genres, but the worst things from F2P games. But let start my review from positive sides of this game, and there are a lot of it.

You know, it is something medium between MOBA and RTS: you control only one unit and you can't control others (like in MOBA), but you can buy units and tell 'em what do they need to do (like in RTS). But the part from shooting is the best - now you don't need to target the unit, you just need to shoot in them! The gameplay is not just about destroying towers & base, I mean you need to destroy the base, but you don't need to destroy towers (here they are actually other little bases), but you need to capture them. From the beginning, you theese bases are holden by neutral units, that are actually hard to destroy. There are a lot of maps to play so you will never be bored. And the best part of this game is main units you controll. They are actually transformers: flying like planes and walking robots. They have different skills and they're really balanced. Also, there are no roles and no artefacts so it is not so good part of this game but it still fun. There are not so much of mechs, you unlock it by leveling up and buying, but they're really cheap, so basicly leveling up is enough. You get a lot of kudos (in-game money in this games) and exp for even a match with bots, there are also VIP to get a double kudos n' exp, but it is useless. There are units to buy (also by leveling up and a little of kudos), characters (unlocking them is exactly the same) and some other features. But there are also one more way than VIP to get more kudos with exp and it's free: just build some structures in non-match base in game menu and you will get some % of extra currency or a wheat field where you can sell wheat for kudos (so you don't need to be nerd to unlock something in this game). Match continues 20-40 minutes, but I think it isn't the limit or minimum. But now let's talk about one con, but the big one.

The game has got some kinda imbalance between novice, nerd and donater. There are diamond currency and it is real money currency, but you can get something from missions. Good thing is that mechs you can purchase by theese diamonds are only the skins which aren't better than free (the only thing you can purchase 'em with any level). But there are "ultimate" units and characters that haven't got level limit and they are powerfuller than free ones, but good thing is that they are excluded from PvP. Next is upgrades and they're free, but it's like arts, but not buyable in the match, you buy 'em in game, so that means that nerds will win novices 'cause first ones have better mechs. But even after this, balance in this game isn't as ♥♥♥♥ed up as in ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MOBAs like Prime World or Panzar.

I reccomend this game, one of the best MOBAs in the MOBA market, and yes, I think it's MOBA, not the RTS 'cause you control one unit, you can't build buildings, etc. It's MOBA with parts of RTS and Shooter. Enjoy it!

It is a fun and great game, especially for being in development. The animations, gameplay and art style are all great, and I've actually put my money into this game, though it is completely playable without paying.
