Offerta esclusiva Steam

Purchase Gunpoint from Steam and receive an exclusive Team Fortress 2 item:
The Crosslinker's Coil
Did you know: before the mercenary fashion world discovered the obvious style and mental health benefits of wearing 22 feet of powered electrical cable around your head, people once wore hatbands made from 'silk' or other barely-lethal textiles! Strange but true.

Edizione speciale

The Special Edition of Gunpoint includes:

  • The Soundtrack: Includes all of the game's noir-inspired spy music in high quality MP3 format.
  • Developer Commentary: When enabled, you'll find little sprites of Gunpoint's developers on every mission. Talk to us to hear a little about our thinking behind the design (Tom), the art (John), and the music (Ryan).
Caution: shooting a developer while he's talking ends his current commentary track. This kills the developer.

Exclusive Edition

The Exclusive Edition includes all of the items in the Special Edition plus:

  • The Making Of Gunpoint: a 40-minute video feature taking you through how Gunpoint developed from a one-room test game to what you play today. Featuring Gunpoint's designer playing his earliest prototypes for the first time since they were made, to great personal embarrassment and shame.
  • The Prototype Pack (Windows only): Play snapshots of Gunpoint's development at 9 different stages, including cartoony programmer art, the first conception of the hacking system, many scrapped levels, and overpowered gadgets we later cut. For hopefully obvious reasons, we can't give technical support for these.
  • Exclusive Tracks: Bonus pieces produced specially by Gunpoint's composers for this edition, mixing the game's noir style with electronic influences. Since they're not used as background music in the game, our composers took the chance to be more adventurous with these tracks.
  • The Secret Beta Access List (betas may be Windows only): adds an option in the game menu to sign up to our Secret Beta Access List. If and when future Suspicious Developments games are developed, we'll sometimes give secret beta versions only to the members of this list.

Informazioni sul gioco

Gunpoint is a stealth puzzle game that lets you rewire its levels to trick people. You play a freelance spy who takes jobs from his clients to break into high security buildings and steal sensitive data.

To get past security, you'll need to make creative use of your main gadget: the Crosslink. It lets you see how all the security devices in a level are wired up, and then you can just click and drag with the mouse to wire them differently. So you can connect a lightswitch to a trapdoor, then flick it when a guard walks across to make him fall through.

Key Features

  • Rewire levels to work however you want
  • Trick guards into trapping themselves or shooting each other
  • Throw yourself - and others - through plate glass windows
  • Investigate a noir-inspired story of murder and espionage over 20 missions
  • Choose what to tell your clients, including lying to trick them
  • Choose your own playstyle: quick, quiet, non-violent, no living witnesses, or any combination
  • Discover new solutions to levels that no-one else has thought of
  • Buy specialist gadgets to suit how you want to play
  • All story stuff is skippable
  • Hardest puzzles are optional
  • No bosses - everyone dies in one shot, including you

Over-all good game.
Although only took me 2 hours to complete story.
Steam workshop compatibility means that it basically has infinite play value.
Also achievment hunting is fun

Doors are the most OP thing in this game.
10/10 would kick a door in a guard's face again.

Funny, fun and.. oh damn, I'm missing a f-word. What was it, oh yeah! ♥♥♥♥ing enraging 4/5, the game was fun but even though at times I felt like It was dragging on it still felt short. (Keep in mind my playtime is based off of different saves because I'm horrible at finishing games, the save I actually finished probably took 3-4 hours)

Fun short platform stealth puzzler with innovative rewiring mechanics. None of the wiring puzzles are particularly hard, but they're all pretty satisfying. There are simulated conversations before each mission, with some choices to give pre-canned answers. As far as I could tell, those choices don't influence the actual game, but they add to the immersion. The writing is very good and entertaining, but if you're not into reading you can also skip it completely. There are a few shortcomings - the graphic style is simplistic, controls for panning the screens are a bit annoying, there's not really any penalty for non-stealth play styles (this could be seen as a pro too). Music is good and fitting. Definitely recommend checking this out, especially to anyone who likes stealth, or the whimsical noir ambience.

Witty writing lifts this ordinary looking stealth game above most of the others. Tom Francis, the one man dev team, is amazing. A mix of puzzle, strategy, stealth, action, this is a really enjoyable experience. Once you get the hang of how to solve the puzzles, it's satisfying to beat the levels in different ways.

DISCLAIMER: I do not play many puzzel games so i cant compare to other games.

Ok let me officailly start the review by saying this game is ♥♥♥♥ING AMAZING
The game is only a couple hours long but its extremly engaging, my only real complant is that there wasnt more to play.
I did get this on sale for 5$ and i reccomend you do the same, this game is so fun for any gamer, even if you never play puzzel games like me. The story is ok and it gets more interesting at the end but in the great words of someone who review Just Cause 3: "Its like porn you see... You come expecting a story but it dosnt matter in the end"

Superb little game. I loved the story, and the hacking mechanics were very clever. My only complaint was that it was over before I knew it! I would have loved more levels, they were very fun.

Good game with the amazing mechanic of the crosslink, and very fun...or it would be if it actually worked.
Let me rewind a bit. I played the demo of this game and loved it to bits. I saw gunpoint was on sale and snapped it up instantly. I tried to play it but it wouldn't work for some reason. I took all the advice of the developers and did everything they said. Nothing happened. Finally I got it to work by deleteing my music file. I played for a good 40 minutes and had a blast. Then it broke again. And would not fix. Now I'm sad. Buy this game because it's great, but buy it at your own risk because it does break occasionally.

Gunpoint is a puzzle game with platforming and stealth elements.
The 'puzzles' come in the form of an incredibly unique, fun, and interesting rewiring system, where you can make one thing connect to another.
For example, you can open a door with a switch.
It is amazing. One of the most clever and enjoyable mechanics I've ever had the joy of performing.
There are many fun upgrades you can buy for your character, Conway. Anything from increasing the height you can jump (did i mention you can jump super high in this game? its awesome) to kicking down doors.
Every upgrade is fun in its own unique way and is worth your attention at some point.
The game isn't open world but it has a workshop page, full of user-created levels, that you can also create if you please.
The game has a little replayability as there is different play styles.
In short, the gameplay is absolutely amazing.

There's a lot more to Gunpoint then jumping around and rewiring, though.
There is an extremely captivating, motivating, and interesting story that actually interested me from the moment I started the game to the end.
I'm not gonna spoil a thing because it's something everyone should experience without being spoiled.
But it was the best story in a game I've ever experienced since The Walking Dead.

The charm in this game is constantly present.
There wasn't a single moment in this game that I didn't have a smile on my face.
During the dialouge there are some lines that actually made my chest hurt from laughing so hard.
Even while you are in the middle of a mission the charm is present.
When you are first prompted to punch a guard, being the person I am, I punched him in the face a remarkable amount of times. To my surprise messages kept popping up, eventually even keeping count of how many times you've punched the guard in the face and rightfully chastising you for it.
Hell, at the end of the game, you get to pick what things your character will put in his blog post that summarizes the case. When you hit sumbit a real, existing, web page is created, containing the content you chose. And it's great.

In short, Gunpoint is actually my favorite game I've played in a long, long time.
Amazing gameplay.
Amazing story.
Amazing charm.
Amazing game.

10/10.

A must-buy.
