"A side-scrolling 3v3 DOTA-style game with an emphasis on manual aim and platforming. Very creative characters, one of which I badly voice-act."

Coming in 2.13: Zippy Starburst Announcer

Zippy Starburst is undoubtedly the biggest rock legend on this side of the Galaxy, ever since he started touring in the mid 3570's. His long and colorful history include the introduction of head-tentacle banging and the ground-breaking album 'The rise and rise of Zippy Starburst and the Worms from Sorona'.

It turns out Zippy is a big fan of the Awesomenauts and their robot-blasting adventures. So when asked to commentate some of the recent battles taking place, he was happy to oblige. And as with everything Zippy does, he gave it his all.

Check out the preview over here:

The Zippy Starburst announcer will be added to Awesomenauts in update 2.13!

If DOTA and LOL isn't your cup of tea, please - try this one. It's unique 2D MOBA centered around aim, map awareness, teamplay and old-school platforming. The plethora of characters with unique skills (each naut has 2 main skills assigned to 2 buttons + AA, jump and team commands - it's that simple, yet hard to master) that really affects how the game is played and gameplay itself makes this game addictive and ton of fun. You can try different builds, every skill can be upgraded in a different way, same for AA and utility row (movement, more hp, regen etc.). Game is easy to learn, but can be frustating if you're not paying attention, however there's replay recording built in and you can see what your opponent bought and how he outplayed you.

Competitive & entertaining // Recommended for a slighly more casual MOBA experience

+ Arenas are well-designed and inclde environmental hazards & traps
+ Characters are original both in practice & in aesthetics
+ Abilities are purchased to construct characer stat builds in-match; that these build trees are reset after every match encourages experimentation & specialization
+ Game offers bot-mode & matches with human players
+ Smooth animations & crisp visuals
+ Intensely competitive & well-balanced gameplay mechanics
+ Plethora of character & ability unlockables available as player level progresses
+ Well-populated player stat & performance profiles
+ Soundtrack, though somewhat lacking in variet, makes up by its superb quality; very catchy and enjoyable

- Learning curve can be a bit harsh, and new players will often find the endeavor difficult to break into

Genre - Cartoon 2D MOBA

I purchased this game first a while ago on the Xbox 360 but didn't get around to playing it much. However, when I saw it on a Steam sale I thought I would give it another go.

Having grown up in the 80s I find similarities with the music, characters and art style that remind me of the cartoons back in the day. Basically this game is a parody of 80s cartoons and brings with it much nostalgia as a result.

The game is a 2D 3v3 MOBA and I think it is probably the best one I have seen, not that many exist to be honest. The characters and abilities are varied and there are several ways to interact with the maps to turn the tide of the battle. I have mainly played Bots at a difficulty I find a challenge and have enjoyed the many games I have played, even when I lost.

You unlock characters and maps as you progress at quite a rapid rate. Then you get to access extra abilities. This encourages you to play more games at once. Against Bots they last 10-20 minutes, which is great if you just want a quick game.

It is a fun little game that will be enjoyed by all ages and you can easily increase the skill level if you want more of a challenge.

There are costumes to buy and an expansion pack with new characters. The latter is tempting me, but I will see if I can wait for the next sale...

First of all - if you are another fanboy who get butthurt by all negative reviews - make your own with your opinion about this game, instead of thumb down. Or welcome to commentaries with criticism. Thanks
Okay, its my 4 review for this game, first 2 was positive, then ronimo broke few things and its changed to negative. So...

Obliviosly its sidescrolling MOBA. If you dont like dota (me too), but fan of action platformers - its may be your cup of tea. But 1st - few things you must know about it:

- Graphics. Its rlly stylish 2d game with lots of EXPLOSIONS (not like in broforce, but anyways :D). Every naut has its own design (also few different skins, you can buy (changes only visuals), if you dont like default one), two different types of each skins (for blue and red teams), other things looks cool too.
- Sound. Every naut has its own voice, sfxes and ost. Lone will pew-pew-pew, derpl - mew-mew-mew :D
- Action. Its actually one of mostly action games I've ever played. If you think "yay, its casual moba with only 2 skills and 2 moves! I ll beat them all easy!" - you wont be right. Its WONT works after 6 league and you needs to use your hands and brains to win. Sadly, you wont win, using these things only, cuz of...

- Lags. At 1st - its p2p game (like dota). But its netcode sux and matchmaking searching too. For example - you cant set "maximum ping to search" - only regions. Second thing is none cares about your settings - you can set "same region only", but if you will be host - latinos with 600ms will connect to you anyways.
- Disbalance. Second thing, why lot of players left. Some nauts are easier to play, some harder... Balance, for me = simple formula "skills+build". But some nauts requires 0 skills to play and win as them. For example - Ayla. I seen lots of Aylas, who feeds until mid game, then got enough solar to buy all they need and starts to kill everyone, cuz mid-game ayla = very fast + life stealing + deals over 9k dmg/s by self-aoe skill, sized as 1/3 of screen.
- Matchmaking. I said about lags, but its not only problem. Situations, when you have 2 league 8 guys in your team vs 3 league 4 guys in opposite arent rare. Also none cares about rating, so - you may be on 3k+ vs guy with 500 rate in other team. Also - you cant uncheck connection to started matches, so - your butt will burn 2 much, when you ll connect to matches on last seconds of them.
- Premades. Thing, you will meet in league 4+. Guys, who plays with skype/teamspeak - there are almost no ways to ♥♥♥♥ them with randoms.
- Splitscreens. Opposite side of teamwork - guys, who plays with splitscreen. If you have them in your team, you can insta-leave - this game is almost unplayable with controller and splitscreen players will care only about their mates irl, so - no teamwork too.

I also could say about adv-like messages every 1 min on full window, if you plays multiplayer with bots, warping guys and 2.5 cheaters, but I wont. This game is fun for first 100 hours. Then you will drop it or play with pain in your butt. Sadly ronimo doesnt care about balance, servers and better matchmaking, so - I, for example, ll finish all achievements (7 left) and then drop it, like 70% of community.
