Where has this game been my whole life? A strange (yet great) mix of Resident Evil and Army of Two

Pros:
- Surprisingly deep storyline.
- Nice companion system that makes that character either like or dislike you in regards to what you respond.
- A decent array of weapons.
- Great voice acting. (and a sexy British accent from Troy Baker himself!)
- Upgrades for weapons that actually makes a difference and feels very well implemented.
- Sick boss designs (and the fights are also fun)
- Hollow children (can't explain it without spoiling the story, but these things are easily one of the coolest things ever)
- Hype action sequences.

Cons:
- The relationship between the protagonist and Big Bo can become a little too much "bro-y" at times.
- Not a whole lot of variations during the levels themselves (though the great dialogue, boss fights and action sequences makes up for it and makes you forget about the hordes of robots that you have killed)

Final rating: 8/10 purely amazing, well worth the price point

I wish Steam had an average option in addition to yes or no. As this wasn't a bad game by any means, but it didn't really stand out any either. It's really a middle of the road, run of the mill 3rd person cover based shooter. There are some RPG esque elements like team influence and upgrading, and a character class system that you can only take part of in multiplayer.
The plot and voice acting are both subpar, but the games other mechanics are worth a playthrough. My biggest complaint is that the controls prompts only appear as keyboard keys, even if you're using a controller, and they are usually very unclear. For example press M will appear, but it's not the 'M' key the game wants yout to press, it's the middle mouse button.
Essentially if you don't mind Dan and Bo screaming bro at each other so much that you feel like you're back in middle school it's worth a plathrough, but if you're really looking for a 3rd person shooter to sink your teeth into there are better options.
I guess I'll rank it a 6/10 overall.

I have no idea how this game got into my library. I don't remember buying it, it's not on my Steam purchases list, neither is it on the gifts/complimentary games list. No idea how I got it, but I'm glad I did.

A fantastic action game all around. Great characters (and voice-overs), interesting plot and themes, heavy anime movie influences, memorable battles.

It's got a few QTEs where you need to push a button (it's always the same button) within an ever shrinking time window. Not really that bad, but still probably the most negative issue I can think of about the game.

You fight robots with your team. Small ones, normal ones and huge ones. And there are explosions.

Highly recommended!

I am not finished as of yet but with how much fun I am having fun with the game now, I figure why not.

So far this game is just really entertaining, the graphics are actually pretty solid from a game that came out 4 years ago. The characters are really fun, they have a lot of cheese to them, like a good B movie or a popcorn Action flick. But there is enough time with them where they're not just mindless comrades that you don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about like other games in this same genre. They are written pretty well and the dialogue is usually pretty good. The way you interact with the teammates is interesting and how it affects the way they might act in battle is interesting, though feels a bit shallow. The character models themselves actually look pretty good too.

Given that the gun variety isn't anything the write home about, the combat still remains to be fun, one of the mechanics being that you shoot the robots heads off and they will start shooting other enemies. I also just find the way the enemies fall apart in various ways depending on where you shoot them really entertaining to watch, I think there is a lot of attention to detail when it comes to this aspect of the game. A lot of the enemies themselves have really cool designs to them, especially a lot of the Bosses even with falling in line with other games in what a Bosses general weakness might be.

The story itself is pretty decent, I actually look forward to them to see what is going to happen next or just to see more character interaction. This is also helped by having some real nice action cutscenes as well as having pretty cool set pieces that just makes you wanna keep going.

I would highly reccomend this game for someone looking for a fun third person shooter to play. It isn't doing anything special or new but I honestly don't feel that it needs to, because for the most part it does what it is doing really well.

When I got this game from a promotion Sega did with some website I looked it over, some third person shooter. Then I decided to play it. Got to say, to Quote Big Bo, "THAT WAS SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET"

It really was an enjoyable experience, lots of action, memorable boss fights, the team was enjoyable to work with, and the story and world, I really want to see more. I think if you are a fan of cyber punk or third person shooters this game might be right up your alley.

This game could be good. The voice acting is ok. The story is generic but not too bad. The characters are stereotypes but likable. The level design old-fashioned but in a ok way. The graphics are very outdated, think consoles back then. But the main problem is that they didn't invest more than a day in making this playable with keyboard and mouse. This part of the game is really broken and very frustrating. I stopped playing when I had to detonate a bomb and it said press M to do so but no key would work. So basically don't bother.
ps: Some interesting ideas in the game: give commands to your team mates using voice controls - well, that would be challenging to do now with all the fighting noise but was impossible when this game was created.
Another interesting idea is that good actions of the player will be rewared with some comment from your team mates and it will add to your standing with them - but it gets repetetive very fast and as they have a tendency to jump in front of your gun and dislike you for being shot at, you can say that this added social intelligence is more than the fighting AI can handle.

In my book, a very underrated game that get on your list for when they do a sale. I really enjoy all of the game's characters and the gameplay. The story plot is very good. It is well worth the money when it goes on sale. 8 out of 10 is what I rate this game.

Clearly a conole port. Graphics are "meh". Gameplay is boring & repetitive. Voice Commands doesn't always work. The controls are kind of bad (mouse jumps, slow direction change when running).

Ge it on sale IF you are reaaaaly intersted in it.

For a game that advertises a key feature as "every word affects everything", you would think the voice commands would be awesome. They are not. Tried with 3 different mics and the AI would still question what I'm trying to say.

Don't think you'll have an easy time using a gamepad either, because there are no controller tooltips or displays. Everything stays keyboard layout on the UI.

It's not a horrible game, but the PC port itself is just....bad. Stay away from this version, but if you happen to own a console it may be worth picking up from the bargain bin at the store.

I can't understand the bad metascore. This is truly a sign of bad taste.

Alone the story and overall presentation should be enough to play this action game on pc because the graphics are even better than on consoles with higher resolution and fluid 60 frames per second.
The mouse and keyboard controls are very bad, that's the only critical point I have to make about Binary Domain on pc, but with a game controller like the xbox-360 pad it is perfectly playable, just like the console versions.
This game is designed for controllers in the first place anyway, so it makes no sense to play it with mouse/keyboard.

So, people like me who like to play third-person shooters like Gears of War with a controller and watch sci-fi movies like AI: Artificial Intelligence and Terminator shouldn't miss this underrated AAA piece of cyberpunk-action masterpiece.
