Reviews

IGN: 9/10 - Editors Choice - "A qualified triumph for veterans of the first game and newcomers alike."

Gamespy: 4.5/5 - Editors Choice - "Just as a good sequel should be, Orcs Must Die! 2 is everything I love about the original and more: great art and personality, clever puzzles and green meat-grinding traps, and now with the added bonus of easy-to-use, Steam-powered co-op."

Destructoid: 9.0 - "A year ago, I couldn’t imagine another game mixing tower defense and third-person action as well as Orcs Must Die! Clearly, I was wrong."

Hmmm....Where to start. This game is so simple and easy to play. I love how I can just pick it up for a quick round anytime or spend a few hours. Co op is great and alot of fun with the right person. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a good Defense game. Nothing like building a giant killroom and watching hundreds of orcs get torn to shreds.

Nice game to play, easy when you start, but harder when you near the end. All the weapons are good balanced, no overpowered weapons. Sometimes when your playing you hear a charater saying something about a weapon or trap, most of the time something funny. I really like this game, funny and easy gameplay. You can't be serious playing, you are most of the time trying something stupid, also when you are playing with someone else.

Tower Defence game where u play as a really strong warrior or a mage against a horde of weaklings. The enemies aren't very strong it's only the fact that they have alot of hp that some of them manage to switch through. Cartoony art syle gore and humourous content. The game gets boring really easily but it's not a bad game to grab whilst it's on sale. The dlc is alright. This game tried to be like dungeon defenders but isn't as fun. It's always more fun to play with a friend so if you have a friend who has it play with them. stop the orcs from going through a portal by genocide. You sometimes feel like a lord of the rings character killing Orcs 7.5/10

Been playing this game hard for two days! Cant get enough right now. Im sure at some point there is the burnout factor. Must play a co-op with a friend, it makes all the difference.

It's awesome to play this with friends. The trap combinations are endless and you can use creativity while placing those. There are so many trap types, trinkets and weapons which can be upgraded in various ways. The feature I really like in this game is that you can refund your skulls if you chose wrong upgrades or levels require different trap types.

There are also lots of game modes you can choose from. My personal favorite is the endless mode where there is infinite number of waves.

Going solo can be hard for newcomers so it's recommended that you have someone to play this with. So I wouldn't recommend this game if you are looking for TD game solely on singleplayer purposes.

I know I'm definitely going against the grain in not recommending this game, but personally, I just felt that it didn't offer me anything to really keep me playing. The idea of the game sounded incredibly fun at first, so I bought the two pack for my wife and myself. Neither one of us found it to be all that exciting. Great idea and principle behind the game, but I feel the execution was somewhat poor. 4 or a 5 out of 10 from me.

The game is great.

The greedy Devs are not -> not releasing an editor and letting the game die, because of greed is just plain studpidity.

In the OMD games tower defense is combined with a more active, immersed hero, who can swing a warhammer to defend breaches himself. The best addition to the first game is a co-op mode which is a lot of fun with a friend. Maybe I am the wrong audience for such a game, but somehow I'm disappointed. I got the impression that the game didn't live up to its own potential.

A fun idea in concept, essentially a tower defense game with the ability to jump into the middle of the fight. Unfortunately, it's also incredibly frustrating because there's very little time in between waves and enemies would rather run past me instead of engaging me in combat.
