What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Since we are working on a groundbreaking™ new game idea unlike any established genre, we firmly believe in early player feedback to see what works or does not work, instead of relying on our "brilliancy" as developers only.
How does the game's balance feel? Which additional Quality of Life features does the community want? What ideas do players have we cannot even imagine right now? We cannot wait to hear the answer to these questions! ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“According to our plans, Xuhivan's Autonomous Cube will be in Early Access for 6 to 12 months, but ultimately that depends on your feedback. We plan with a speedy development to swiftly implement our and your new ideas.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more units, more relics, more events, more cubes, so just about everything, ha! Yet: let us know if you think of more drastic measures and you would like to see some core principles overturned! Since most core concepts are already in place, we intend to explore some of the more advanced unit and relic ideas next.
We also have all sorts of crazy ideas to expand the game further, we cannot wait to discuss them with you!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All core gameplay systems are in place, in a state of polish many games could call a full release. New unique units, relics and events are unlocked after every run, which will take you dozens of hours just to see everything! And after that all the content is integrated into new randomly generated runs, combining into endless possibilities.
We believe that the current state of the game can provide you with lots and lots of fun, only rivalled by the full release! Please refer to the "About This Game" section for more details, all content shown there is in the game!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We feel that a slight to medium price increase after Early Access has been completed might be fair. Specifics will depend on the scope of additional content and features added in Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will gather feedback on every update and conduct polls on which new or expanded features our priority should be placed. The main mode of communication is our Discord server, but of course we also visit the Steam forums regularly!
We love working with the community! This kind of collaboration only can lift Xuhivan's Autonomous Cube to the next level.”

About This Game

A roguelite turn based strategy game, where your units move autonomously after you set them in motion, such that you have to rely on the turns of the magic cube.

Sounds crazy? Well, it is.

Every Run is Different

Fight through a series of procedurally generated cubes before you exceed the number of allowed rotations, crushing tough bosses like Aranthos, or Tasanzang, who broke a holy oath thrice, and was forgiven twice, until you may fight Xuhivan the Godless himself, to only fail or succeed on this cubic battlefield, what does it matter really?

Luckily, you are not bound to winning square: Use relics to your advantage, turn the time back or make a pact with the old gods in Overworld Events. Yet, beware: Not all that glinters is brass, and some choices will cost you more dearly than just the time you payed...

Mythic Lore

Command the Guardian of Love, the leader of the cannibals who now inhibit the once proud city of Naan, Chiron the Dragonslayer, Lung the traveling monk, that lizard born without wings declared bastard by his family, infamous for their ingenious poetry, Drunk Demons of Sand, Phoenixes, Swamp Dragons and many more.

Break the Game or Get Broken

Rotate the cube smartly to make your enemies drown, blow them of the edge of the cube, or burn everything to the ground until nothing of them remains. But indeed, the squares are ruthless, and having your enemies spawned two tiles off may lead to drastically different outcomes, and the fire that you intended to unleash on your enemies may burn your very hand.

All litigations based on bite marks in your keyboard are exempt.
