“Our core philosophy behind the development of Voxelotl Garden is to be open and communicative from the start. We have already built a community around this game which has offered us a lot of early feedback/suggestions which has exponentially increased the fun factor of the game and the overall value of the experience.

Opening up to the community during development provides us with an opportunity to share and shape the future of this game into something that we know our community wants to play.

As a small two-person team, this also helps us identify issues earlier rather than later so we can provide a higher quality product.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We've gotten a lot of feedback from the community about the game and as a result, we are doing a couple more rounds of iteration before we launch for real. This process should only take a few more months and then we will hit the shiny green button and launch for real. If you want to help us iterate then consider joining our discord server to participate in the discussions!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our backlog currently details several polish and bugfix items as well as new voxelotl animations, skills, races, and garden decorations. Since the game's systems have stabilized we are mostly adding content at this point.

If time permits, we'd also love to introduce a new minigame to help bring some more variety to the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our early access builds are an accurate representation of the product and include all the elements involved in the core gameplay loop. The final version won't be that dramatically different from what is up there right now, but there will be a few significant changes to make the loop more fun.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The listed price is our final pricetag for launch”

“We do have a few ways that you can get access to insider builds to test out features early and help us iterate rapidly on new content and features. Reach out to us if you want more information on this and we will provide any details you might need.

About This Game

About This Game

Voxelotl are a special breed of creature that live a simple and joyful life. They live together on a simple island that provides them with all the comforts they need to survive. They have plenty of food and water, as well as places to hide if things get scary. Voxelotl are not the same breed as the traditional Axolotl in the sense that they have the unique ability to live on land. You have a special opportunity to raise some of your very own Voxelotl and earn their love and respect. Help give your new friends a life full of companionship, love, and entertainment!

Personalities

Each Voxelotl has a unique personality. Some Voxelotl may be social and some may simply want to hide from any action. Spend time with your Voxelotl to learn more about them!

Breeding

Ensure that dominant features are passed on by breeding parents with the same features. Ensure a new feature not found in either parent by breeding parents with different features. Breed to get the perfect Voxelotl!

Interact with Voxelotls

Feed them.

Play with them.

Manage hunger.

Manage sleepiness.

Change clothing.

Teach them new tricks such as dancing, singing, playing instruments, drawing, and more!

Voxelotl Goals

Voxelotl have their own goals and they need your help to achieve them. Achieving goals helps increase your bond with the Voxelotl and can also earn you some prizes.

Purchase from the store

Purchase hats, special consumable items, or educational books for teaching Voxelotl new tricks.

Training Stations

Each training station increases the creature’s skills and makes them more likely to succeed in competitions!

There are four training stations placed in the garden. Help your Voxelotl grow stronger and win in competitions!

Decorations

Purchase decorations from the store and customize your garden. You can place decorations anywhere in the garden to make it feel more like home!

Racing Minigame

Test the skills of your creature by entering them in the racing competition! Skills boost your Voxelotl in certain zones of races for a competitive edge based on their trained skills. Win races for unique prizes!
