About This Content

Wukong is a cruiser named after the Monkey King—one of the main mythological characters in Chinese culture. Sun Wukong is an immortal demon who acquired extraordinary powers after long years of wandering in the pursuit of spiritual perfection. His adventures are described in the Chinese classical novel "Journey to the West." In World of Warships, the cruiser represents Pan-Asia at Tier VIII. She carries a combination of French artillery and Pan-Asian long-range deepwater torpedoes.

Key features:

  • Nine 203 mm guns placed in three turrets. The cruiser can boast of having artillery with a good range and a fast reload time for the caliber
  • Two triple-tube torpedo launchers. The deepwater torpedoes of this ship have a low detectability range; good torpedo range for her tier—12 km; and a high maximum damage of 18,400 HP per hit, but they are not capable of striking destroyers
  • The Torpedo Reload Booster consumable, placed in a separate slot, allows her to launch one torpedo salvo 8 seconds after another several times during the course of a battle
  • The Spotting Aircraft consumable temporarily extends the firing range of her main guns
  • She earns more credits per battle, and her permanent camouflage adds a 50% XP bonus per battle and reduces the cost of the ship's post-battle service by 10%
