I bought the soundtrack for Bastion and never looked back since!

I had the game as part of a bundle, but I loved it so much I felt I needed to contribute more, so I bought the soundtrack on steam, and would buy it again just to show my support. Bastion is a work of art, a game that got all the elements right. All round great time.

Surprisingly fun. The gameplay is pretty good - you just gotta find the right tools for you.
The story - narration is top notch, but may not be for all.
The soundtrack is amazing, and is some of the best I've heard since Undertale.
Make sure to use a controller, though. It's horrendous on mouse and keyboard.

It definitely surprised me, and I can't wait for more games from these developers.

Narration, graphics and soundtrack. These are the main terms used when people talk about this game. What will strike your mind when you first start this game is the harmonic voice of the narrator. Better get used to it because he will bombard you with endless commentary about the schizophrenic postapocalyptic surroundings, lore and travails of our silent protagonist. The narration is rugged, dramatic and quite serious. I mean, just look at the place, it is torn asunder. The game itself provides mainly action-filled gameplay with a bit of RPG-ing with collecting weapons, resources and lore items. You can use the resources to upgrade your weapons in endless variations. The playthrough is not very difficult and you can finish the game with your favourite weapons, but the difficulty raises significantly in the Proving Grounds and in the free DLC challenge mode where most builds don't work very well. What I liked most about this game has to be the soundtrack. When the narrator gets a bit annoying near the end (mainly because the story doesn't stand up much to the other factors of the game), the soundtrack never ceases to surprise you. It combines many styles and some tracks became one of my all-time favourites.

This game is a little gem among the Indie category...
It is linear, but the sotry is good enough and gameplay is super cool. Lots of levels for a smaller budget game, many cool unique weapons you can use, upgreades you can buy and runes that will make the game more challanging, but at the same time it will reward you. High replay value, due to the upgreade system... What can I say more?
+ Loot, upgreade and runes that modify the gameplay.
- A little bit too linear.
Yep buy it if you into Indie games, and with a discount it is even more worth it!

Bastion is a joy to play and a treat on both the eyes and ears. The music is brilliant as is the art style. The way the world builds up around you as you play is both creative and a great way to present a level building also heavily on the idea of the Calamity.

The levels are challenging but even with all idols turned on I was able to beat the game with very few deaths. The story is narrated really well and present to you in drips and drabs as you play through. My only gripe with this stunning game is being forced to use some crappy battering ram as your end game weapon with the final boss

A great game that should be played by all. And of course, Transistor, their next title was even better so make sure you check that out.

The storytelling of this game is simply amazing. The gameplay and progression is fantastic but the story telling is what makes this game stand out. Fantastic! I highly recommend this game.

Fabulous soundtrack 10/10 and this is the game that ultimately brought me to Steam in the first place. If you love a game with strong but unobtrusive narrative, this is a beautiful one.

This was a game that required some effort to get to 100% but the story and soundtrack was worth it.
Hard Bargain achievement was hardest to get. The rest are easy if you are aware of them
Fun Fact: Bastion made me purchase Transistor the day it came out.
