Why Early Access?

“We are a husband-wife team, work part-time alongside our day jobs and create the game in our free time and on weekends. Our goal with Early Access is to offer you a polished version with all hero skills, all monsters and traps from all three story chapters and all core functionalities. We have big plans for Tormentis! In the long term, we want to offer you a large number of traps, monsters and decorative elements in many different designs so that everyone can build their own individual style and there are no limits to creativity. Your support helps us to reach this goal!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“After the first year in Early Access, we have already implemented many player requests and continue working on balancing. Our plan is to leave Early Access by mid-2026 at the latest.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There will be further visual customization options, new rooms, monsters and traps, expansions to the specialization tree and many, many legendary items and sets. We also want to offer a dungeon editor that allows players to create an unlimited number of dungeons for a new adventure mode.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access is functionally complete and offers all hero skills and all three chapters of the story up to level 50 with 15 monsters, 10 traps and over 100 decorative items, inaddition to the demo. The first legendary items can be found.

Contrary to some Early Access practice of frantically adding new updates every 1-2 days, we will deliver continuous and well-tested updates every 1-2 weeks.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We don't plan on changing the price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As in the last few months since the demo was released, all players are welcome to contribute ideas and suggestions. All suggestions are reviewed and evaluated. Individual decisions are made through voting or open discussions. We also collect feedback at regular intervals to set priorities for further development.”

About This Game

Tormentis is an action RPG that combines fast, loot-driven combat with the strategic construction of your own castle.

Build deadly defenses filled with traps, guardians, and clever room structures – and raid the castles of other players to claim valuable loot and secure your place in the seasonal leaderboard.

Design your own castle with individually placeable rooms, enemies, and traps. Strengthen your defenses to bring attackers to their knees – and secure resources and rewards in the process.

But be warned: your castle never rests. Other players will attempt to break through your defenses and steal your treasures. Only those who build cleverly, place strategically, and use their resources wisely will prevail as rulers of their castle.

Scour other players’ castles in action-packed battles from an isometric perspective. Dodge deadly traps, defeat their defenders, and claim their most valuable treasures.

With quick reflexes, smart tactics, and the right gear, you will survive your opponents’ defenses. Those who master the dangers will seize valuable resources and rare materials to continuously improve their equipment.
