About This Software

FrameAdapt makes gameplay feel smoother without tweaking every game.

• Ideal FPS cap in one click. Auto mode keeps your frame rate just below your monitor's refresh rate, so FreeSync / G-SYNC stays active and frametimes stay even.
  
• Official driver limiter. Uses the built-in frame limiter of NVIDIA, AMD Radeon and Intel Arc / Iris Xe drivers — the same setting you'd find in the vendor's control panel.
  
• Max refresh rate fix. Running a 144–240 Hz monitor at 60 Hz by mistake? Switch to the maximum refresh rate in one click, with automatic rollback if the monitor doesn't accept it.
  
• Presets and hotkeys. 30 / 60 / 120 / 144 / 165 / 240 FPS and more, switchable in game with hotkeys and a short on-screen hint.
  
• Safe by design. No injection, no hooks, no kernel drivers, no network. FrameAdapt doesn't modify game files or memory, and all driver settings are restored on exit.
  
• Lightweight. A single ~500 KB portable app that lives in the tray and supports multiple monitors and laptops with two GPUs.

Notes: AMD caps apply after starting or restarting the game and work best in exclusive fullscreen. If a game has its own FPS limit, the lower one applies; a per-game cap set in the driver's own control panel overrides FrameAdapt's global cap.

Anti-Cheat & Safety

FrameAdapt only changes the official frame limiter setting of your graphics driver through the vendor's public API (NVIDIA NVAPI, AMD ADLX, Intel IGCL), exactly like the driver's own control panel does. It does not inject code into games, does not hook DirectX/Vulkan, does not read game memory and does not install drivers. It has been tested in online games with anti-cheat systems without issues.
