What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Ink Card Adventure is content-complete (3 story chapters, 3 bosses, ~60 cards, 20 relics, 5 heroes, full 10-language localization), but we want to balance the Combo multiplier system and the player-drawn card economy with real player data. Early Access lets us tune difficulty curves and collect community share-code creations before the final release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to leave Early Access after approximately 6-9 months, once two full balance patches and the Infinite/Daily mode rollout are stable.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to enable Difficulty 2 & 3 (hard modes with new hardcore modifiers), the Infinite and Daily challenge modes (already built but locked in the EA build), unlock the teaser heroes/cards/relics currently shown as ??? in the Codex, and add community-requested quality-of-life features. We intend to keep additions focused and avoid over-promising.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable from start to finish on Difficulty 1: 3 story chapters with 3 bosses, ~60 cards, 20 relics, 5 heroes, the Card Forge painter, card sharing via codes, achievements, meta shop, and complete UI/text in 10 languages. Higher difficulties are shown as Coming Soon in-game and will arrive as free updates. No known crash-class bugs at EA start.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price once when leaving Early Access to reflect the added modes and content. EA buyers keep all future updates at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will run a Discord and read Steam Discussions daily; balance polls and share-code card showcases will drive patch priorities. Every balance patch ships first on a public beta branch, with patch notes posted as Steam announcements.”

About This Game

Ink Card Adventure is a pixel-art deckbuilding roguelike with a twist: the strongest card in your deck is the one you draw yourself — pixel by pixel, on an in-game 32×32 canvas.

🎨 Draw Your Own Cards

Paint with brushes, eraser, custom colors and undo/redo on the Card Forge canvas.

Choose a type (Attack / Spell / Ability), an effect slip and a frame tier (N / R / E / S) — your artwork becomes a real, battle-ready card.

Enhance creations at the Forge: +1 base stat, -1 cost, +1 Combo, or a frame upgrade.

Copy a share code and send your masterpiece to friends — or import theirs into your collection.

⚔ Battle: Read, Counter, Combo

Every enemy telegraphs its intent: attack, block, poison, charge, summon. Answer it — or eat it.

Chain [combo+] cards and every number on your cards scales: damage, block, heal, draw and poison all multiply together.

Master statuses: Block, Thorns, Poison, Weak, Vulnerable — plan two turns ahead.

Face 3 chapter bosses with unique passives, enrage phases and a deadly revive twist.

🗺 Every Run Is a New Run

Branching maps: battles, elites, campfires, mysterious events, forges and bosses.

20 relics and 5 heroes with distinct passives reshape your strategy each run.

60+ cards to discover, collect and master in the illustrated Codex.

Earn coins and achievements to unlock heroes, frames and shimmers in the meta shop.

🌐 10 Languages, One Ink World

Fully localized interface and text: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese (BR), German, French, Russian.

Switch language anytime in Settings — even mid-run.

Grab your brush. The debt collectors are waiting.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Pre-Generated AI content disclosure:
1) A small number of background illustrations were created with diffusion-based image tools (ComfyUI), then manually edited, recolored and pixel-processed by the developer before use.
2) First-draft localization strings and store-page marketing text were produced with large-language-model assistance, then reviewed, corrected and finalized by the developer.
All gameplay code, card pixel art, UI, enemies and animations are hand-made. The game contains NO live-generated AI content and no AI systems running at playtime.
