One Life. Everything connected.

Take a chance on a new career. Fall for someone who changes your plans. Save for a home, start a business, adopt a pet or pack your bags for a fresh start abroad.

Just remember: the rest of your Life comes with you.

LIVORA is a choice-driven life simulation about building a Life and discovering where it takes you. Through playable moments, conversations and decisions, work, money, relationships, family, health and the wider world become parts of the same story.

An evening course could open a new career. A promotion might leave less time for the people you love. A move could bring you closer to family — or introduce you to someone who changes everything.

There is room for ambition, quiet contentment, questionable decisions and a change of heart.

Choose when your story begins

Begin at birth in Formative Years, or step straight into Adult Life with believable starting circumstances.

Choose a starting year from 1950 through to 50 years beyond the current year. Grow up through earlier decades, begin in the present or see where a future Life might lead.

The period reaches into everyday Life: the jobs you can find, the homes and belongings available, how you travel, what the news reports and how you keep in touch. A smartphone will have to wait until its time comes. Older possessions and familiar ways of doing things can still have a place when something newer arrives.

Start in any supported year and the world is already established for that date. From there, the experiences, memories and decisions belong to the Life you actually play.

Find work worth getting out of bed for

Apply for jobs, face interviews, get to know colleagues and take on assignments that can shape your career. Your skills, qualifications, experience and reputation influence the opportunities within reach.

Education can be a beginning or a way to change direction. Explore school, university, apprenticeships, vocational learning and later-life study while making room for everything else going on.

Prefer to build something of your own? Try self-employment or run a business, with customers, staff, premises and financial decisions to manage. Keep it small or pursue opportunities to expand when the business can support them.

Side jobs, freelance work and creative projects offer other possibilities. Writing, music, photography, video and other creative paths can become a personal passion, a source of income or something with a wider audience.

Meet people with plans of their own

Make friends, date, fall in love, build a household and decide what family means to your character.

Relationships develop through time together, conversations, promises kept and the moments that are harder to get right. An old classmate can remain important decades later. A housemate might become a close friend. Someone you care about may need support just as your own Life gets busy.

Partners, relatives and other important people have circumstances and ambitions of their own. Children grow through school, interests and friendships into adults with their own decisions to make.

Follow those connections through the Family Tree, shared memories and the history your family builds across generations.

Make yourself at home

Rent your first place, buy a home, share with others or move when your circumstances change. Renovate rooms, make space for a growing household and decide which possessions are worth keeping.

A car can make a journey practical, but ownership brings running costs and care. A pet brings companionship, personality and a place in the household, along with responsibilities that need to fit your Life.

Explore five fictional countries, with cities, towns, coastal communities and rural places to call home. Where you live affects work, education, transport, services and everyday costs. Moving abroad can mean a new chapter involving visas, housing, employment and the people coming with you.

Make time for the good stuff

Meet friends, go on dates, host a gathering, join a group or get involved in your community. Follow a hobby, work on a personal project, perform live music, take a road trip or plan a holiday with people who matter to you.

Messages, group chats, shared traditions and social occasions give ordinary days a story of their own. Neighbourhoods can change too, and local projects offer opportunities to help shape the place around you.

Health, energy and wellbeing remain part of those plans. Seek care, make adjustments, recover or arrange practical support when needed. Independence follows your circumstances rather than an assumption about your age.

Live through an economy that reaches your doorstep

Earn, spend, save, borrow, invest and decide which commitments your household can afford.

Prices, wages, housing, interest rates and job opportunities exist within a changing economy. Your starting period provides the foundations; business conditions, public policy and wider events help shape what follows.

Rising costs can squeeze a comfortable budget. A changing labour market can open a door or make the next job harder to find. Wages do not automatically keep up with prices, and taking on more work means finding the time to do it.

The same starting year can lead to different Lives as your choices and circumstances develop.

Find your place in a changing world

Follow World News, take part in elections or pursue a political career through Parliament, cabinet and government. Election commitments, taxation, budgets and public services connect political decisions to everyday Life.

As the serving Prime Minister, examine your country's finances and make decisions with consequences beyond your own household. GDP, inflation, public debt and the budget become part of the responsibilities of leadership.

Pandemics and wars can develop across LIVORA's five countries, including future events arising from the world's conditions. Government responses, public-health capacity, diplomacy, prevention and recovery can affect work, supply, prices, travel and family circumstances. Your role may be to adapt as a civilian or lead a response as Prime Minister.

Legal disputes, crime and Justice can also become part of a Life, bringing difficult choices and consequences that reach into work, relationships and the years ahead.

Live at your own pace

Plan your days through the Day Planner and Calendar, then choose Day, Week or Month Pace to decide how closely to follow the passing time.

Quieter periods can move more quickly, while meaningful decisions still need your attention. Spend time on what interests you, reconsider a commitment or leave room for something you did not plan.

A setback can become a turning point. A successful career can stop being your priority. There is always a Life around the next decision.

Your story can outlive you

As the years pass, careers, relationships, homes, achievements, regrets and memories become a history you can look back on.

At the end of a Life, the Ending Life Report gathers that story. If an eligible adult child can continue the family, choose the next generation and discover what they make of the world they inherit.

They have their own identity, relationships and circumstances. The family connection remains, and the world keeps moving.

Build a Life. Live with what follows.
