Why Early Access?

“We at CJC are ultimately aiming to find a funding body, whether it be through publishers or governments, to enable us to continue to invest time into Sack Investigation. We hope early access can give us an avenue to build a solid relationship with a larger community. A community that is just as invested as ourselves to see Sack Investigation succeed and flourish. We want to hear feedback, nit picks and comparisons that can remove us from developer bias and make us tailor a greater experience for everyone.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As per our current road map, we intend to continue work on Sack Investigation until March 2028. With the addition of the story mode, we would feel most confident to move Sack Investigation to a full release. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our road map applies a timeline of the planned content we want to implement into Sack Investigation at a steady pace. We want with every milestone we add onto our current foundational game, for the gameplay loop to feel reconstructed. Our intention is to also add new rooms, puzzles and hazards alongside our roadmap. When Sack Investigation finally moves into a full release game, we intend for the game to feel well rounded with high replayabilty, intricate lore and the dumbest fun possible.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the game has a random level layout with a series of 3 randomised puzzles amongst a total of 6 rooms, each with their own distinctive theming. With each puzzle completed, will need to break cursed objects and can purchase upgrades in the shop. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As a team, we are interested in experimenting with different financing models that align with the core values of our community. This may be an increase in price of the base game or additional downloadable content that are purely for cosmetics. All core gameplay features of the game will remain in the based product, so purchasing Sack Investigation in its current state will provide players with the complete gameplay experience for when it moves into full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We truly hope the game can be moulded by the community that builds it up. Sack Investigation is a work in progress and nothing in its content is set in stone, so possibly through polls or community events, CJC can better refine the game to the likings of players. Because our community is relatively small at this moment, your voice will be heard clearest now and we are more than happy to hear out our players as long as they are respectful.”
