Endless Tactics - the_procrastinator
As the launch time window approaches, here comes, even though not as big as the previous ones in terms of content, a very necessary Update nonetheless. In the Cleansing Update, I've decided to address all of the last remaining major hurdles, so that the .1 of development can be entirely focused on polishing, addressing feedback, and filling in the last visual (and sonoral) gaps of Endless Tactics! Yes, including the long due addition of Operation 3, which is coming soon - along with the full version of the game.



CHANGES

  • Options Menu - Tweak and toggle everything you can imagine, from the basics such as Resolution, Window Mode, to even several gameplay elements like the Grid X-Ray, Screen Shake, Confirmation Prompts, and much more!
  • Swarm Event - New unique Event. For every Corrupted Tile in the battlefield, there's a small chance of spawning an Enemy Egg! So now more than ever, be sure to Cleanse them all before it's too late.
  • Reworked Corruption Spread - As the name says, the spread logic has been vastly improved with the use of an improved flood-filling algorithm and actual pathfinding! Also now making it much fairer on the case you decide to trim out some Nest-spawned Corruption, as it'll now gradually regenerate rather than all at once like before.
  • Screen Transitions.
  • Steam Integration - Steam Clouds, Demo detection, and more!
  • Major Optimizations.
  • Better Corruption Cleansing - Targeting logic for Corrupted Tiles is now much more intuitive! To counteract the new changes applied to Corruption, it is now also much easier to get rid of!
  • Addressed User-Feedback - Several major and minor playtester complaints addressed, more to follow!
  • Reworked Wave Spawn - On the topic of User Feedback, here's a major change; now before Nests Surge, the player will be able to preemptively position around their predefined spawn points or even block them from surging! Also including major improvements to Wave pacing, and thus a huge reduction to Dead Turns.
  • Reworked New Player UX - Brand new Trial Run to directly guide new players into unlocking the game's core features as quickly as possible, also based on playtester feedback!
  • Better Upgrades Menu - Rebalanced several Upgrades and reworked how the toggle system works so that it can create much more interesting choices for the player.
  • Reworked Hover Panels.
  • Improved Menus.
  • Special Ability Damage Scaling - Now they don't get left out for the late game anymore!
  • Grid Logic Improvements.
  • Several balance Changes.
  • Terrain Move Costs - Brand new system for terrain move costs, which is going to be used quite extensively for Operation 3, and already is by the Water Tiles in the previous one.

  • Fixed a few bugs caused by a large refactor of the game’s codebase:
    • Fixed a bug with ML turret targeting.
    • Fixed a bug with wall preview models not being visible.
    • Removed a left over debug statement from vehicle code. (Console would spam “WL_WAIST” if vehicle was partially submerged in water)

  • AFV and LT are now set to be researched at the start of the game (Start_Researched 1).
    • Map creators can still set disable AFV/LT by using emp_sv_unresearch_item in the map’s cfg file.

  • Increased Advanced Chassis time from 150s to 250s
  • Increased Advanced Machining time from 120s to 150s

  • Increased Radar cost from 300 to 400
Infantry Weapons
  • SMG1
    • Reduced Damage from 18 to 16
    • Reduced Minimal Damage from 11 to 7
    • Reduced Spread Increments by 10%
  • SMG2
    • Reduced Damage from 19 to 17
    • Reduced Minimal Damage from 12 to 8
    • Reduced Spread Increments by 10%
Vehicle Weapons
  • .50 Cal Machine Gun
    • Increased clip size from 80 to 120
Other changes
  • Updated material surface properties:
    • Reduced Snow friction from 0.75 to 0.6
    • Reduced Ice friction from 0.6 to 0.3
  • Upgraded the platform toolset for compiling the Windows version of the game from v120 to v143. The codebase has been refactored to support this update, and no issues or new bugs are anticipated.
    • Alternate names for these toolsets are Visual Studio 2013 (MSVC 12.0) & Visual Studio 2022 (MSVC 14.3).
Known Issues
  • Armor impact sounds are often too quiet to be heard well. (Carried over from 2.37.0)

Conduits - ball composite
  • You can now use the Conduits Steam workshop to download and upload presets!
  • To upload a preset, enter the scene and press escape. Enter your preset name and click "Upload to Workshop"
  • To download a workshop preset, subscribe to it and then start Conduts. It should show up in your Presets menu.
  • If it doesn't show up, try verifying your Conduits game files in your Steam library.
  • To delete a workshop preset, unsubscribe from it in the workshop, then delete it from your Presets menu.

9.2 Reflections of Decay

New Feature:
Chapter 7 is now in. (it's currently missing
its final scene)

Balancing:
Increased health of chapter 1 boss by 20%.
Increased stats to chapter 2 and 3 bosses by 10%.
Increased Shole's stats by 10%.
Slightly buffed Freewill.

Misc:
Fixed puzzles 26 and 27.
Military can no longer go below 0.
Heavily reduced weight of ship level
on Naval Support. (original amount was
so extreme that it seemed like a bug)
Enemies can no lnger transform after
death. (this was causing an exp issue)
Enemies on Romantic difficulty no longer
receive blessed.
Difficulties now properly buff or debuff
enemies.

Father of War is a tank weapon.
It is a two-handed long sword.
You have two basic abilities.


Switch Stance changes your abilities from an offensive to defensive state.
Each stance has three abilities.

Offensive abilities focus on damage and threat generation.



Defensive abilities focus on damage mitigation and protection.


Furthermore, after choosing the talents you have access to ultimate abilities.



Like all other weapons, Father of War has 15 talents.


Now I will focus on animating the new weapon.
By doing this I also rework all existing animations.

Hi there pilot,

This is a demo patch for version 1.1.4.
This is just regular update fixing bugs you've been reporting, which I truly appreciate.

Main bug fixes and changes in this version:

- Auto special (bomb) is now available for all difficulties. You can turn it on/off from the options. I'll add more twists to this later.
- Boss 1 core is no longer damage-able until it shows its HP and starts attacking.
- Too bad, but it was removed. Some player discovered the "I" key that I didn't block for the demo, which triggers the continue screen any time and allows players to have many characters on screen. Was fun to watch hahaha.



- HUD bug during the intro screen.
- And other minor fixes.

That was all for this patch. Otherwise, progress is getting smoothly and stage 3 is near being done.
