Hyper Flux - Furegus
Hyper Flux Demo is released to the public to try.
For those who haven't had time due to their busy weekday schedules, this is a reminder to try the demo this weekend! Also a big thanks to those who has tried the game already!

Regardless of whether you end up liking the game or not, this Next Fest demo already counts as a success to me due to this being my first game.

NOTE
A bunch of the issues which were present in the game earlier have been fixed, along with the pesky bug of passing through objects, if you faced any of those issues and stopped, feel free to play again!

Other than that, the demo will probably enter freeze and won't have any updates anymore (unless there's game-breaking issues).
The demo will remain active even in the future as it allows for ample opportunity for people to try the game in it's full glory! Although I'm still confused if I should keep the leaderboards active..

If you have any feedback for the game or any issues you find, feel free to reach out!

This is a small patch with a few typos, the introduction of a checkpoint system, and a few continuity tweaks in preparation for the release of Werewolves 3: Evolution's End next month.

You can always win a map by capturing the HQ, but what if there *is* no HQ? In the latest Community Map of the Week, Explosive Supply Race by Flak, we’re left with another tantalizing option: blow up your opponent’s entire base with a bomb. Big bada boom!

The players here start in an X pattern, with each player controlling two corners of the map. The goal: take a supply train laden with explosives and drive it straight to the enemy HQ, where it will wipe all of their buildings off the map, instantly winning you the match. There’s a system of rails that lead from base to base, but which will also slow down your early wave of pioneers. The supply trains you need to move are also out of fuel, meaning you’ll need to capture a factory before you can build a Jeep or another Supply Train to refuel it and send it on its way. Don’t forget to build more rail units to escort it, though: if the bomb Supply Train is destroyed on the way to its destination, you’ll have to revert to a war of attrition and defeat all enemy units to win.

(Fun fact: train units are twice as fun to use if you yell “choo choo” every time you move them. Try it out! Another fun fact: this map is inspired by the Payload races in Team Fortress 2!

Split Brain - Drumnam
Hello everyone!

Steam Next Fest is in full swing, and we're excited to be part of it.

Thanks again for all your feedback on the demo, we'll continue to give it everything we've got until the game's release (by the end of the year, remember!).

We've just updated the demo, here's what's new:
- VSync activated by default on first game launch
- New friend invitation and role assignment screen
- No more random roles but if you restart a level, you'll be offered the option of changing them
- FOV is now adjustable
- Minor bug fixes
- Some levels have been slightly reworked...but nothing worth the visit, perhaps...

We've launched our discord!

See you soon!

Metavoidal - Yellow Lab Games
Listen, I won't chew your ear off this update around. In trying to not be like a guitar solo that's gone on way too long, I'll try to keep it as short and sweet as possible without leaving you guessing too much. Here's what you need to know:

1. We've just updated our demo for the first time since the June Next Fest!
It's been a while, but that's because we've been trying our best to actually finish the game :P
Which leads me to the next point...

2. We think this is a really solid build that shows off the game in its nearly-complete glory
But nobody's perfect, and there might be some things lurking in the dark that we couldn't see while we were playtesting. So, if you come across any nasty bugs (or some silly goobers) please chuck 'em at me and I'll get it to the team as soon as I can!

Here's a link to our Discord for bug reporting

3. If you've played the previous demos, give this one another go - there's a few new odds & ends that's been added!
Obviously, with more development time comes more QoL changes as well as game content additions. And to not bore you with all the details, here are some of the things that you'll find in this updated demo:

  • New music -> The electric & holy albums' music is (to the best of my knowledge) finally complete and in the game. Rejoice!
  • A Gigs Board -> The more you slay, the more enemies you unlock. We thought that since you'll be dying a bunch, as is the nature of the roguelite beast, we wanted to give you little rewards & incentives for being the deadliest drummer this side of the crowd barrier. You can find the gigs board to the left of the green guy in a cage in the Santuary.
  • Quality of Life -> There are a few of them, but the most obvious one you'll see is that you no longer have to pick up your extra drum technique each time you spawn in! It now gets automatically spun and added to the open technique slot in your move set. You still need to go and adjust the sequence of your moves at the drum set, but just removing that additional task helps make the whole game feel slightly more polished.
  • New Moves -> We've added a few new fancy stick tricks. Some are level-boss related, some are just fancy little twirls that refresh your dodge charges. They randomly spawn, so have fun with them when you find one!

There are also additional trinkets and other items that have been added to the game, but listing it here would just make this wall of text even bigger. So instead, I'd just encourage you to go find it for yourself in the demo!

We really hope you have fun with the new build. And as always, please let us know of anything and everything you think of when you play our game! Your input makes our game more fun, and that's all we really want.

GLHF OUT THERE, DRUMMERS 🤘🤘

Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders - Hellfish
Hey Riders,

it’s great to see you’re all enjoying the time on the Lonely Mountains! Again, thank you all for your feedback!

We received feedback that it currently takes too long to reach Level 10 in the demo, which is totally understandable considering that you would also like to try out tons of other amazing demos.

So we just put a patch live that rebalances the progression system. You still need to hit the slopes in multiplayer to reach level 10 to earn the special next fest outfit but it should take considerably less time than before. Please download the newest patch to update your level!

Also, if that wasn’t totally clear, you will get the same experience for tours in private lobbies as for the quickmatch tours, so it’s easy to just grab a few friends to level up. We also set up a whole bunch of new channels in our Discord to find friends and private tours.

Other fixes for today’s patch include:
Fixed once again that people get stuck at the finish line (this one is a really persistent little bugger)
  • Settings now have a button that deletes current best times & ghosts (important for the people who have best times and ghosts from before the Lynx Rebalancing.
  • There is now a quality preset for the Steam Deck. Please let us know how the performance on the deck is for you with the new preset!
  • ready display in the "ready for next round" display now always shows the correct number of players
  • The ready button in the Next Screen should now always show the correct state
  • Fixed a bug that you ended up in a non-respawnable crash state when you were crashed while a host migration happened.
  • Fixed once again that the end timer in racing mode shouldn't stay on screen anymore
  • Waiting time in the quick match lobby doesn’t get reset when a player leaves the lobby

If you want to know what’s waiting for you at the end of level 10 here is a little teaser.

All the best and have a great weekend on the Lonely Mountains. And as always, it would mean a lot to us if you wishlist and leave a review for the demo as this weekend is super important for the game.

Your Megagons!
