Royal Quest Online dev team is still working hard on improving different game aspects. Today, we’re gonna talk about what our awesome animation artists have been up to 😎🗡️.

The Thief subclass is the only hero in Aura who can fight with a weapon in each hand — and we're spicing things up with some brand-new attack animations! Now your characters can really show off when you gear them up with a pair of axes 💥.



We spoke with the team to find out how these new character moves come to life:

"The base for the new animations comes from reference video footage so we can nail the motion and overall flow. Then it’s time for stylization and applying artistic techniques."All animations are done entirely by hand, frame by frame, no motion capture here. Every swing and spin are the result of serious dedication and attention to detail 🎨💪.But how do you keep everything smooth when the characters never stop moving?

"Animators build in special ‘transition poses’ so the character can flow naturally from one move to another. Then technical artists polish and set up extra transitions inside the game engine."

Of course, this isn’t all that Royal Quest Online dev team is working on—we’ll keep sharing more updates with time.

1. Fixed a bug where, during an expedition with insufficient provisions, requesting aid from other noble houses could result in a negative amount of provisions provided.

2. Fixed a bug where an excessive number of cattle and sheep on farms caused the game to lag.

3. Fixed a bug where private troops did not return after kidnapping attempts at the Courtesan Lounge. It is now possible to lose one or two soldiers instead.

4. Fixed a bug where royal women could still be married off after taking in a husband.

5. Fixed a bug where clan members’ Charm stats could exceed 100.

6. Fixed a bug where already extinct families could still take sides in the establishment of a new monarch.

7. Fixed an issue where the number of royal soldiers lost during wars with noble houses and Vassal Princes was inaccurate.

8. Fixed a bug where private soldier skirmishes between noble houses could result in a negative number of remaining troops.
