DeadWire - Korpz

> \\\[NDL_LINK INTERFACE v0.1.9]

> jackin:/ghostwire<.node/WIRE.ndl

> Access… Granted.

We are in the final straight, the longest mile, the sprint finish, the end run. Just over a week now until Deadwire goes live and you get to experience the game in all its glory. Quality Assurance has been performed. Bugs are identified and squashed. Localisation has been implemented. 'T's have been crossed, 'I's have been dotted.

We are playtesting and reviewing and whilst feedback is coming in, mostly its all to do with how much fun people are finding the game. That and the fact that it's a real challenge for even the most ardent reaction gamers.

I also like that people are finding the odd Easter Egg and reference to the titles cultural heritage. What I really like is the fact that NOBODY has found them all yet.

You never know, you might be the first.

But I doubt it. ːsteammockingː

Prepare yourselves then operatives. Sh*ts about to get real.

VoltAge:Genesis - Golden Fish Entertainment

Hey everyone! It's been a couple of weeks since the last progress update, and I have been hard at work buried in Excel spreadsheets because I don't know when to stop tinkering :D My "change log" is up to around 38 pages in Microsoft Word, and rather than blast you all with a wall of text that is largely the same as the previous post, I figured I would just offer a brief run through of what's happening with the development cycle for the Version 10.0 update, affectionately (lol) titled "Epitaph".

----------

While watching some recent footage of people playing VoltAge:Genesis, I sort of came to the conclusion that heavier armors did not seem to be "worth" the loss in Agility, especially since the game specifically focuses on shorter battles and places a high value on turn order. That led me to reviewing the stat conventions for armors, and I quickly realized that previous "tweaks" I made have, in fact, made armor objectively less useful the heavier it is. Cue me rebalancing every armor type in the game, which in turn led to me rebalancing all of the bonuses for the 24 (!) factions and manufacturers represented in the game. Long story short, essentially every single weapon and armor in the game (as well as a significant percentage of the accessories) have been rebalanced to offer higher stat bonuses in a few core areas, rather than more modest bonuses across a wide range of categories. Most "hidden parameter" bonuses like Hit%, Evasion, and Crit. Rate are much rarer, and there are far fewer examples of gear offering "cross-purpose" stat bonuses (for instance, armor that makes you have a higher crit. rate). Certain manufacturers whose "identity" is linked to unusual bonuses (like increased defense for SBC weapons because they utilize energy shield tech) have been retained. I still want to make more changes to certain areas' encounter rates and am weighing the possibility of removing certain types of enemies from the "standard rotations" entirely. I have continued to address some ongoing glitches and bugs, and I have implemented a "comparison" feature which will give players a much better idea of the bonuses gear grants...I have gotten rid of the (fairly useless) "optimize" function, as well. I had initially though that Steam Achievements were going to be a fail, but some things have changed on the back end, and as such I am going to try and take another stab at implementing them; other than that, I am very nearly to the point where I can start doing a couple of test runs in earnest...I haven't decided yet whether I will livestream those runs through Twitch or YouTube to give a sneak peek at what has changed yet, so keep an eye out for more information on that in the future. As always, if you have particular "pain points" you would like for me to address OR have run into any bugs or glitches, please let me know! I have probably played through the various versions of this game from start to finish around thirty times now, and while I would like to believe I have caught most issues, there is always someone out there who will play the game in a way I hadn't accounted for. I want to make this the best possible game it can be, but it has also been about a decade that I have been working on this, and would like to be able to move onto something new when I finish school in December...that being said, barring some crazy game-breaking bug being uncovered, this is very likely THE LAST update I will entertain for VoltAge:Genesis.

Stay tuned, and more importantly: Stay safe out there! The Deadlands are (and probably always will be) a dangerous place, after all...

-Zach

Guild Wars 2 - ArenaNetJoie

The Mists tremble and warp as the impact of recent events permeates the beyond. The Astral Ward has named it a fractal incursion, as Tyria risks a deluge of malicious attacks from fractal recreations.

I am calling for your aid to stabilize the disturbance via the Fractals of the Mists in Lion's Arch. Let us meet there, and I will explain how we may avert this crisis.

—Mist Stranger

Surprise! Today we're introducing a brand-new bonus event called Fractal Incursion that will run until October 7 at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7). This event is aimed at introducing new players to fractals and giving fractal veterans more rewards to seek, including an incredible pair of legendary gloves! We also have some updates for our new PvP game mode, Push.

The mysterious Mist Stranger calls for your aid with a plan formed alongside the Astral Ward to calm the Mists. Join them in Lion's Arch to embark on an adventure into the Fractals of the Mists and across Tyria! All of today's live content updates are free and accessible to all players regardless of expansion ownership. Let's dive in!

Introducing the Quickplay Beta

This event introduces a new way to play fractals called quickplay mode, which we're now beta testing with the community. Quickplay will automatically pair you with other adventurers and launch you into a curated list of scale 1 fractals. You can use this new feature when you're solo, in a full group, or in a partial group, and quickplay will do the rest!

Quickplay mode is accessed through the Fractal of the Mists (Initiate Scales 1–25) section of the Looking for Group panel or by clicking the red banner outside the fractal portal in Lion's Arch. The current set of fractals available for quickplay includes:

  • Aetherblade
  • Cliffside
  • Deepstone
  • Kinfall
  • Molten Boss
  • Molten Furnace
  • Snowblind
  • Uncategorized
  • Urban Battleground
  • Volcanic

The Mist Stranger will also assist players using the quickplay mode queue by helping to revive fallen adventurers and overcome environmental puzzles. For more information about this and some other changes to the fractals themselves, please refer to our full release notes for today's update.

Open-World Incursions

Enemies from the fractals are spilling into the open world! You'll need to safeguard Tyria from the Mists' creatures during these new events at the top of every hour in one of these zones: Snowden Drifts, Diessa Plateau, Kessex Hills, and Brisban Wildlands. Don't fret if you travel to the wrong zone, though—portals will appear in the others to lead you to where the problem is!

These events will award participants with achievement progress and a sampling of agony resistance infusions to assist heroes in preparing for more challenging fractals.

Fractally Amazing Rewards

[youtube_inline id=ef3W7pnOsiQ]

Participating in this month-long event can earn you significant rewards! The Fractal Incursion Champion achievement is only available during the event and offers players twenty-two different reward tiers. The final reward of this achievement chain is the Legendary Weapon Starter Key—Universal, which allows you to kickstart your progress toward any first-generation legendary weapon!

Other rewards include:

  • A full set of rare-quality equipment for fresh level 80 characters.
  • Exotic armor, weapons, and accessories, including the new Guild Captain's Cape.
  • A new ascended accessory with agony resistance, the Fractal Sheriff's Star.
  • Two Bag Slot Expansions and a 20-slot bag.

There's also a set of new achievements and rewards that are now permanent additions to the game. The Incursive Investigation achievements will guide you through the effort to stop the incursion attacks with a new section of the journey unlocking each week over the first three weeks of the event. The final reward for completing these achievements is the legendary Eikasia, Mists-Grasper gloves!

These gloves allow you to project a magical aura around the tip of whichever weapon you're wielding. Over time, you can earn all three armor weights of these gloves and a series of Agony Lens infusions that let you customize the color of Eikasia's glow on each weapon you wield!

Lastly, check the Wizard's Vault for some bonus objectives and new rewards, including 20 Lucent Crystal Vault Bags, 3 Mystic Coin Vault Bags, a Lesser Essence of Gold, and an Infinite Mist Omnipotion.

Push Is Launching Today!

Almost exactly a year ago today, we unveiled our plans to develop a new PvP mode alongside the community. After three beta events, countless changes based on player feedback, new map art, and new UI elements, we're finally launching Push out of beta and into full release. PvP players can hop into the game right now and play Push. This game mode is here to stay!

In our most recent beta, we collected some great feedback from you, and our team has implemented the following notable changes:

  • Adjusted Mortal Contest and global healing reductions to reduce barrier support effectiveness.
  • Changed the locations of secondary objectives and updated their interaction-point art.
  • The visual effects for the center objective have been updated to better fit the setting.
  • Interactable teleports have been added to increase the variety of map pathing.
  • We've made some additional map adjustments, including the removal of ramps near player spawn points to avoid pregame griefing.

While Push is now live, we'll continue to monitor feedback and make adjustments to the game mode as needed to ensure it's as fun and competitive as possible. Thank you for your assistance in making Push come to life, and we'll see you in the Sunjiang Backstreets very soon!

"Golden Joy" is a unique event that allows you to get resources, you spend gold coins and get rewards in return.

Best regards, JTGGame Team!
General War Memories - jtggame

A great event that will allow you to get points for the spent gold coins, which can be exchanged for excellent items.
Features of this event
  • If Score Exchange is launched in parallel with Lucky Draw, then 1 spent gold coin is equal to 2 points.
  • These accumulated points can be used both in the Score Exchange event itself and in the Lucky Draw event (points spent are displayed exactly in both events and if spend points in Score Exchange, they will disappear from the Lucky Draw event and vice versa.)
  • IMPORTANT! If the points are not spent by the end of this event, the points can be reset to zero if one of the related events - ends (Lucky Draw or Score Exchange)

  • The current launch of the event does not include the parallel start of the Lucky Draw event, therefore 1 coin spent = 1 points.
  • The number of exchange points for items in the event has been reduced.

Shards of the Realm - Fenyx

1) This patch introduces the ability to dye armor, making it easier to identify characters on the battlefield or distinguish workers by type in your castle. Existing characters will start without a specified color, but it can be changed in the inventory screen. New companions will be assigned a randomly generated color, which can also be customized.

2) Another important change in this patch: the default middle mouse action has been changed to camera rotation, while double-clicking the middle mouse button now controls camera movement. You can revert these settings to the original behavior in the game options.

3) The default renderer has been changed to Vulkan for improved stability. If you prefer to use DX12 for potentially higher performance, please follow this guide:
