Dungeon Watchers - RM120
Hello, I am RM120, the solodev making Dungeon Watchers. I am the maker of all the art, music and code. Making a game is fun and I wish you to have fun too. Now I have a demo out, which features:
  • 2 characters with their own skill set (Luna and Zelvy).
  • 16 general skills: 3 physical, 3 fire, 3 Ice, 3 electric and 4 summons.
  • 1 map with 8 enemies and 1 boss.
Of course this is just for the demo, you can see other characters blocked in this version like Iris the Doctor Cyclops and Selene the Lunar Priest, which are gonna be available in the EA version with another map with another set of enemies and their own difficulty settings which are blocked right now in the demo to normal.

The EA version of course will have achievements and a global upgrade system so the players can increase their power as they play in order to beat the challenges.

As a developer, my focus is optimizing the game to run well even on low end computers, making more characters, making more spells and then making more maps. I want to make more characters with different approaches and styles and some will require different strategies or skills in order to beat the game.

Remember, your feedback is important, I already tested the game many times myself but the opinion of players with different points of view is crucial to the development of this game in the right direction which is having fun. Fun is important and fun is my goal. On the other hand, if you have an idea for a new weapon, character or map, you found a bug, or you think there is a way to improve a feature in the game, let me know on the Steam forums.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where bleed, reflect, or thorns damage will freeze the game, or play the incorrect animations.
  • Tweaked bleed, burn, and poison to only apply for 1 turn, since with a 25% chance that most items give, it was proccing constantly.
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes expressions were not showing up in dialogue scenes.
  • Fixed the player not ever being able to leave the dungeon.
  • Fixed a few spelling issues.
  • Fixed the background image for the dungeon repeating too soon.
  • Florence no longer pops up as visitable in the demo.
  • Fixed spells not showing up in the pause menu unless they are active.

New Features:

  • Added upgrade points, which allow your core stats to be leveled up to 20. This should apply retroactively, so it shouldn’t break an existing save file.
  • Completely redesigned the pause menu.

Changes:

  • Redesigned the Character and Rucksack tabs, and combined them into the Player tab.
  • Did a small makeover on the Character Creator screen.
  • Slightly increased the size of all of the dungeon markers on the world map.
  • The boss monster in the dungeon will no longer move, and will need to be defeated before leaving the dungeon.
  • Toned down the damage on curse tiles a bit, both for damage to enemies, as well as damage to the player.
  • When starting a new game, player now gets a random weapon from Kurvanog before entering the dungeon.

Hey everyone

To celebrate Halloween, I have officially launched Season One: Spooked for Frontier. Many exiting features are prominent, such as map updates, introduction to key binds, and much, much more.


- Altered the following POIs:
Farm became Pumpkin Patch
Field is gone and is replaced by The Dungeon
New POI: Jack O's Forest
Most of the northern half of the map is covered with the Autumn biome
Extended Kali-jun for a smoother transition


Added the following:
- New weapon: Jack O's Constructor RPG (launches a 1x1 base with a ramp for protection, takes 50
ammo to shoot. 5% chance of spawning in crates in Jack O's Forest)
- New weapon: The Dungeon Auto Shotgun (mythic fast-firing shotgun that has a 5% chance of spawning in crates at The Dungeon)
- Buffed the Assault Shotgun's damage by 5-10% across all rarities
- Buffed the Burst SMG's damage by 2, headshot damage increased by 25% and decreased spread by 50% for all rarities but reduced the clip size from 27 to 24
- Bots now fly towards random directions instead of straight down to prevent congestion
- Bots accuracy nerfed by 25-50%
- Removed the following weapon: Industrial Scoped AR
- Added 2 new heroes to the game: Romero & Manyard
- Added 3 new backpacks to the game: Adventuro, Rowdy, and Skeletal
- Changed the Main Menu background
- Added key binding to the main menu: you can now change your key binds
- Added a sensitivity slider to the main menu & game menu
- Added 5 new endgame locations: Cabin, Shipyard, Jack O's Forest, The Dungeon, and Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday, we launched the achievement system, and I almost got “chased” by players~~~ It turns out the achievements were set way too hard! We’ve now significantly lowered the achievement requirements. For details on how to unlock them, please check the achievement descriptions.
