  • Aurora Investigations changed to: The first time an enemy champion within 8 spaces of this champion makes a basic attack while a champion with this ability is in play, a "Clue" is created on the space it occupies. When a friendly Elf or Fairy (including self) moves within 2 spaces of a space containing a "Clue," the "Clue" is consumed and that champion gains 2 AP.
  • Battle Leader changed to: When this champion destroys an opposing champion, friendly champions permanently gain +1 DMG. If those champions also share a race or class with this champion, they also are healed for 3 HP.
  • Revere: Firemaw changed to: While this champion is in play, Firemaw costs 10% less nora to deploy. While Firemaw is in play, this champion has Flamethrower.
  • Sanguine Flight changed to: This champion is Flying and has Magic Ward and Bleed.

  • Cloak of Long Knives changed to: Equipped champion with Class: Rogue or Ranger has +2 DMG and gains Shadow Shift. If the equipped unit has range 2 or less it gains Shadowstrike.
  • G'hern Helm's Nora Cost changed from 30 to 20
  • Helm of Chaos changed to: Equipped champion that is Race: Archdemon or Class: Knight gains Absorb, Command: Charge, Deception and Reckless.
  • Night Blade changed to: Equipped champion gains Precision and Heart Strike. If the champion is Race: Archdemon or Race: Imp, it also gains Enervating Touch.

Abilities
  • Abominable changed to: This unit has Arctic and deals +1 DMG to Scented champions for each real friendly Yeti. When this ability is activated, the closest enemy champion within 6 spaces becomes Scented for 2 turns and loses Stealthed. If the enemy champion is Frightened, it becomes Scented for 4 turns instead.
  • Aquatic champion nora cost changed from -15 to -10
  • Dark Awakening champion nora cost changed from 10 to 8
  • Distichous: FS/UD changed to: When an FS champion is deployed from the runedock, this champion gains Absorb for 4 turns. When a UD champion is deployed from the runedock, this champion gains Life Siphon for 4 turns.

Pox Nora - Cutedge
For this spooky October we are release updates for the client and server. We are also rolling out another set of balance changes based on user feedback and requests for additional themes and playability.

Client

User Interface
  • Abilities now correctly paginate in the Lower HUD. Additionally, more space has been given for abilities
  • The Tile Info window has been moved above the abilities in the Lower HUD over the play area and now shows units that are hovered over
  • Fixed an issue with the Tutorial in which it would not correctly show which rune to deploy
In-Game text
  • Fixed a number of cases of incorrect descriptions and rules text
  • Please report any incorrect text in the Pox Nora community discord in the #rules-and-description-issues channel
Art
  • Added more high resolution rune art

Campaigns
  • Fixed issues with campaign games occurring due to it using the updated Runes of Valdac map rather than the older version

Pox Nora - Cutedge
For this patch, there are a number of tweaks for champions and some other runes as a final set of changes to cap off this round of balance updates.

Additionally, in this update there are now updated Starter Decks available from beating the Training Faction missions. Even if you have beaten these missions you can earn the new decks by beating them again. The runes granted in these decks are non-tradeable and non-sacrificible.

Abilities
  • Cast: Dark Pact changed to: Target a champion you own within 5 spaces. The next time this champion is the target of a spell within 6 turns, that spell is cast upon the closest enemy champion instead. Your shrine or avatar takes 5 damage when triggered. If the champion is not a valid target, the spell fizzles. This effect is hidden until triggered.
  • Command: Charge AP cost changed from 4 to 3
  • Eradicate changed to: Spend all charges. Target champion within 5 spaces loses 2 HP for each charge spent this way (up to 20 HP).
  • Portal Walker changed to: When this champion is successfully relocated, it has +2 DMG until its next attack or for 6 turns.
  • Revere: Thirion changed to: While this champion is in play, Thirion costs 10% less nora to deploy. While Thirion is in play this champion gains +2 RNG.
  • Sneak changed to: This unit becomes Stealthed at the end of your turn if you have runes in your rune dock that are still concealed and there are no enemy champions within 3 spaces.

Pox Nora - Cutedge
While this isn't the solution that ultimately we are looking at to improve frame rate issues with the client, we have added a new option to set the maximum FPS for the game client. This is available in the Options in both the main menu and in the game and allows you to set the desired frame rate to be capped at 30, 60, 90, 120 or unlimited.

By default, this will choose the closest option to your current refresh rate on your device up to 120 (meaning that if your monitor is 60hz it will be set to 60fps by default or if you have a monitor that is 144hz it will be set to 120fps by default). Setting the frame rate maximum to uncapped is the old behavior, and while there probably isn't much reason to go above 60fps, it will pick the highest to your monitor refresh rate regardless. This option will be saved on device and maintained between play sessions.

Hope everyone is enjoying the new update. Here is an update to correct various issues with rules text being incorrect, both from this patch or things from previous patches.

Client
  • Fixed many instances of incorrect rules text
  • Added the ability to pick the new Ruins of Valdac (5 fonts) map in custom games
  • Added new icons for Obsidian Flight and Sanguine Flight
  • Added more high resolution art

Server

Abilities
  • Fixed an issue in which Guarded abilities (all) would trigger on non-basic attacks
  • Fixed an issue in which Paralytic Feedback would trigger on non-basic attacks
  • Fixed an issue in which Nohkando was not triggering when a unit was distracted (exclusion clause removed)
  • Fixed an issue in which Blood Frenzy was not correctly removing it's bonus when the ability was removed (i.e., from Sanguine Flight)
  • Fixed an issue where the effect from Zombie Herder lasted indefinitely
  • Fixed an issue where Ethereal Pool wasn't giving Phantom Dash correctly.
  • Thrash now hurts the using champion for 75% of it's current DMG
  • Sanguine Flight now gives Magic Ward instead of Faithless

Spells
  • Crystallize now only lasts 2 turns and has been unbanned from Ranked play

Champions
  • Fixed a number of issues where some LE versions of runes were not updated in kind
