-added a Mac version of the game to the store. A linux version is available too upon request.



-added a new Overworld / Spaceship section. It was actually added in the previous build, but I didn't make a post for that build and it's had some more added to it. It should hopefully be easier to navigate than the over-the-shoulder camera angle that was there before. Hopefully it kind of alludes to what other levels and planets are out there as well, better than the previous overworld layout anyway. If anyone really misses the old spaceship controller I can add it as a mission or level somewhere down the line.



-some more UI screens will function better with a controller and more edge cases where the Pause Menu could pop up on a store have been resolved. The UI and controller functionality continues to be a work in progress. It's getting there.

-sped up the default attack speed a little bit.

-updated home screen cards

-other miscellaneous bug fixes and art improvements.

We are two developers who have been in the gaming industry for many years. This is the first time we are responsible for developing a new project ourselves, and we are very excited and happy about it. I also hope that this project can bring you a reservation experience.


What is this game about?

SeaQuest Dungeon is a fast-paced twin-stick shooting game with pixel style.
It has a unique shooting operation experience, tight combat rhythm, and a wide variety of skill construction.Through weapons and skills, choose and match different types of props to achieve a powerful build.


What's the plan?:

The demo version will probably be released in September. The current status of the demo version is to test the core gameplay loop and the placement selection system for skill building. With fewer developers, we need a lot of feedback. Therefore, the art resources of the demo version are not complete.

Ghosts Data
This updates introduces a complete overhaul of Ghost Data. A lot more data is now collected about your run to facilitate 2 more uses of Ghost Data: Racers and Demos.

Racers
Allows you race against a Ghost to gauge how are you performing in real time. The racer can be enabled and disabled at any time.

Demos
  • You can now watch back a run to understand how a run was completed:
  • Media player with fast forwarding, frame skipping, pausing, and scrubbing
  • Frame by frame view of the players state
  • -Time
  • -Speed
  • -Health
  • -Whether or not they are rail grinding, wall running, quick falling, sliding, air strafing, and / or grounded
  • -Completed splits
  • Shows if they are using a controller
  • Report players... using the worlds worst report system

Other

Splits
  • Splits have been redone and now actually work (sorry about that)
  • In HUD options, you can now disable Splits, and change the font size
  • Splits now just show the difference in milliseconds
  • The End of Run screen now shows your Splits

  • Added an icon around the crosshair to indicate that that you are quick falling
  • Players tied on the leaderboard will now share the same rank, rather than being at the mercy of the sorting algorithm gods
  • Fixed the performant water being rendered above sea level, which resulted in fatal falls looking survivable
  • The actual render distance set is now influenced by FOV. This fixes cases where important geometry like rails are not rendered at a low render distance when using a high FOV
  • Timed points now fade when you get too close to them
  • Fixed a bug where speed strips would not give you an appropriate amount of upwards velocity
  • Attempted a fix for forward toggling not enabling when pressing other directional buttons

We've been silently hard at work for the last couple of months, but now we are excited to announce that Toy Shire is coming out very soon! Toy Shire will be released in Early Access on August 26. What's in Early Access?


The Early Access release version offers around 4–5 hours of playtime based on our playtests. Below, you can find a list of features that you can expect to find in the Early Access release.

  • A total of 12 levels.4 rooms in Kevin's house, each with 4 levels to complete and a boss fight at the end.
  • 8 types of towers and 8 types of soldiers for you to bolster your defenses or go on the attack with.
  • 28 types of basic enemies and 4 bosses. Each room has 7 different types of enemies and a unique boss at the end.
  • Creative Mode, where you can make your own levels using more than 100 objects at your disposal. Share your levels or play levels made by others through Steam Workshop.
  • More than 30 achievements to earn.
  • 3 different difficulty levels to cater to all types of players.

Shortly after the release of Early Access, we'll be making an update that introduces fun minigames and integrate Steam Cloud Saves. For more information about our future plans, you can check out our current roadmap below.




Why Early Access?


As you can see from our roadmap, we have big plans for Toy Shire. In order to accomplish those goals, we figured it would be best to involve the community during that process. This doesn't mean we think Toy Shire isn't ready yet, we hope that you'll find that the game has enough content for now and is polished well.

We want to get your feedback on the content that's ready as we work on those big updates for the future. Your feedback will allow us to make necessary changes and fine-tune the balancing of the game, so that we can make Toy Shire the best it can be. For any feedback, please join our Discord server, use the Steam Discussions forums, or leave a review!
